Weight of Giant Hardware v Regular Hardware

I am contemplating purchasing a Giant City, and have tried it out at my local Bal store and it felt really HEAVY! I own a Chloe Paddington as well, and I think the Giant City feels heavier, what do you think? Much as I love light weight bags (eg. Day), if a bag is cute, I will still buy it for its looks (silly me)!

I don't use my Chloe Paddington at all as flipping the lock is such a nuisance, and getting stuff in and out of the bag is such a hassle.

Besides the weight factor, how does a Giant City weigh in vs the Chloe Paddington? Just trying to be careful before I splurge again, as my Chloe Paddington really didn't work for me (apart from the style factor). TIA!

I have had both a Giant City and Chloe Paddington, and Balenciaga has always felt light as a feather in comparison to Chloe. Even with the Giant hardware. As for the Giant City that I purchased....I loved the City style, but ended up getting rid of my Giant City as I felt the bag looked a little to "cluttered". I ended up getting several Giant Part Times instead. I tend to prefer the City bag with regular hardware.

Kinda reminds me of how I put up with KILLER HEELS just to look good.... I would do the same for a GIANT HARDWARE bbag - even if it is uncomfortable to lug around.

No wonder why my closet is full of beautiful shoes I don't wear, and beautiful bags I don't carry!

Can't seem to decide between the two. A lot of my friends tell me that the GH is so much heavier. Since I usually have a lot of things in my bag, it might become too heavy already but the GH is so much prettier! So for those who have the bags with RH and GH, is there really a big difference in weight?
