i think its tolerable!

I feel that weight is subjective. Yes, GH bags are heavier than RH. But if you're stronger (for lack of a better word) or more used to carrying heavy bags, then you'd find them 'light' per se.
I believe it also depends on the style. I know of people who find GH PTs unbearably heavy, but GH Cities are manageable.
What exactly do you consider to be a lot of things in your bag? I guess the best solution is for you to drop by a Bal boutique and try out the bags with the amount of stuff you intend to lug around in your bag, so that you can get a feel of the weight.

RH = regular brass hardware
GH = giant hardware (in either Silver, Gold, Rose Gold or Covered leather)
i love the GH's look! so i dont mind it being slightly heavier. and yes the PT is heavier den the city!
I don't have any troubles at all with my part time with RGGH when I use the shoulder strap (either crossbody or on the shoulder). I does bother me a little when I carry it by the hand or when the handles are on my sboulder.
In comparison to rh bags, it is definitely heavier, but when I compare it to non-Balenciaga bags, they are about equal because the leather on other brands is so much heavier.

I haven't gotten a GH bag because I think they are just too heavy. The reason I switched to Bal is because the bags are so much lighter, so getting the GH just doesn't make sense for me. It is beautiful though!
Yes it is heavy. i haven't carried my GGH Work for a long time and i did the other day, oh boy it weighed a ton.
Yes my rggh city is sooo heavy compared to my RH city. Sad too because it's a gorgeous combination...
