I just recently got my rings, I have a Tiffany style 1.4 6 prong knife edge solitaire and a BGD dream half eternity both in 14k white gold. I was totally sold on getting an ultrasonic but am concerned about th possibility of dislodging stones as I don't think I could help myself and would be using it all the time!

I have bought a soft baby toothbrush and am just cleaning mine in the mornings with just whatever soap we have in the bathroom (currently Crabtree and Evelyn liquid soap). Blob on the rings then brush with the toothbrush and rinse under tap. Is this enough? They seem clean and sparkly but I'm wondering if there's a whole other level of sparkle that I might be missing out on!!

I don't think the ultrasonic does all that much more than a good simple hand cleaning frankly. I like a steamer but that's not a necessary thing either. Hot water and dish soap or mr clean is the best bet. I would say not to put the soap right on the ring though bec you might not get it all out and leave some funk behind that attracts more.

I like my ultrasonic a lot, I just won't put pavé in it.
I use hot water, Mr.Clean, drop of dish soap and a few squirts of window/glass cleaner.
I use the same tub to dip my toothbrush in to clean my pavé and my Rolex.

ame once again my rings came out super sparkly bc of you!!!! I used the blue method today! I like variety. I want to buy the red one now. Currant scented? I was even able to get the darn hairs out from my gloves with the little brush from the red jar!!!

Ladies, is it ok to clean platinum diamond rings with the little Cartier cleaner that is part of the cleaning kit?

I wonder if it would be ok to use this everyday.
I would think so.
Also, would it be ok to clean RG diamond jewelry with this cleaner every second day?

It may speed up tarnishing on your RG, but I don't know what is in the cleaner. I would HOPE that whatever it is wouldn't be an issue.

I louped my new jewelry yesterday and wow, I thought my diamonds were clean, they were not. Soaking now but now I feel like that's not good enough. I'll do the baby toothbrush and hairdryer and check again.

While picking up my upgrade today, my Tiffany SA suggested 2 cleaning options (aside from the Tiffany's jewelry cleaner she gave me):
-Dawn dish soap mixed with warm water and use a toothbrush to clean gently
-Retainer Brite (Tablets that dissolve in water and you just put the jewelry in the bowl to soak)
