It may speed up tarnishing on your RG, but I don't know what is in the cleaner. I would HOPE that whatever it is wouldn't be an issue.

I've found the instruction booklet of the cleaning gel and these are the ingredients:

Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Chloride, Methly Chloro Isothiazolinone, Methyl Isothiazolinone

What do you think - harmful or not?

Ladies, is it ok to clean platinum diamond rings with the little Cartier cleaner that is part of the cleaning kit?

I wonder if it would be ok to use this everyday.

Also, would it be ok to clean RG diamond jewelry with this cleaner every second day?

Dear Cupcake, I am just sharing that my Cartier SA advised me to only use the cleaning kit for all gold jewellery as such the LOVE but not in any circumstance for the ones with diamonds. She was very clear about this as she knows I have various pieces. I hope this is accurate.

OMG really? I have already used this on a platinum diamond ring and on RG jewellry with diamonds!

Was that harmful now?

No I really would not worry but perhaps just stick to the other methods suggested above for your precious!

I've cleaned other jewellry with it many times... and it always looks very sparkly afterwards!

Has you SA told you why it wouldn't be ok to use the gel for other jewellry?

I can't see any issues, it's just water, detergent, saline, preservatives and mild bactericidal agents I think?
