Hello my friends,

I have pictures of one Harry Winston solitaire and one Tiffany solitaire. The Tiffany is set a little higher and the band seems a little more narrow. I think I prefer the look of the Tiffany ring for my sweetheart but I would like everyone's opinion. You guys have all been extremely helpful in my quest. Thank you very much:biguns:

I prefer the tiffany one as well. But I think you can't go wrong with either one of those! :D Congrats on finding your sweetheart, btw! SO sweet to see people in love!

Michael, I've tried both rings on in person. As far as setting, HW has the double prongs, which looks gorgeous from the top down, and it looks really clean - they pride themselves on having least metal showing. From the side view, then I'd have to say that Tiffany looks better.

As for the stone, HW has the better stones...it is definitely sparkles more, and I'm talking about even when covered. I was trying hard to find a place where the HW stone didn't sparkle, I even held it under the table...I couldn't make it NOT sparkle. (Their pictures usually don't look as good as the real thing).

As for comfort, the HW band was more comfortable compared to the Tiffany knife edge band.

I prefer the HW over the Tiffanys one.

But on the practical side, it's a lot easier to deal with a Tiffanys ring because anytime you have a problem, or you just want a cleaning, there's always a Tiffany store around. It's harder to find a HW store.

i think both of them look great and you really can't go wrong with either of them! tiffany's speaks for itself, and considering that was your first choice, you should probably go for the tiffany's, but again, both are gorgeous. and you are too sweet!!

Both rings are gorgeous and each have their own special thing about it. I do like the double prongs that HW does but then again the Tiffany 6 prong is such a classic as well. I guess I'm not much help. Good luck with your quest and I'm sure whatever it is that you select will be perfect for your lady.

I just posted on the calling all women with their rings on their fingers thread, and I posted my HW 3 stone anniversary band. On a scale of 1-10, if you see the HW ring in person you will give it a 30!!!!! The Tiffany ring is beautiful, BUT in my opinion there is NOTHING like a Harry Winston :love: :love:

My husband says to think of an HW as the "FERRARI" of jewels.

I have decided to go with the 1.65 E/VS1 Tiffany ring at this point. I will take a look at 3-5 others in the 1.65-1.8/E/VS1/VVS2 range when I go to Chicago next month to compare etc but I am 99% set on the 1.65. We were there last November with her Mother and my g/f tried on a 1.2 and they both loved it. So I know she will be blown away by the one I give her. I have really played it down too so she would most likely be assuming a .98-1.2 lol!

Anyways, back to studying for a certification on a Saturday night.....:sos:
