Hey guys, stumbled upon this thread searching for price quotes for replacement handles. I am in Japan and there are TONS of second hand LVs everywhere and I was thinking about getting one and replacing the leather. Here is one that I stumbled upon. Can anyone tell me a rough estimate for vachetta replacement? Thanks in advance :tup:

^ Sorry but I don't have any idea what the cost woudl be to replace the full vachetta on that piece. I recommend finding the style name of the piece and asking your local LV boutique. They have a full price book of repair and refurbish costs. Good luck!

What a great thread I found today. I'm new to this forum and I need to know if anyone have tried to replace a handle from a LV damier Ribera MM and what is the cost? Thank you for your help..

Hi everyone - I recently considered purchasing a used speedy 25 from a friend, it was made in the mid 80's and was very very much loved! the handles were pretty much black and the zipper was broken.

I was quoted $54 for zipper replacement (if they could even do it since the canvas was starting to crack)

$200 per handle & chapers (the little tabs the handles are connected to)

Since the speedy I was considering wasn't a limited ed. I decided for another $200 I could purchase a new bag.

Just an FYI, my boutique here did give me estimates over the phone but they were very broad...for example the zipper est. was from $50-150 just depends on the condition of the bag.

A while ago I did put in a bid (not ebay) on this sad looking bag with loose canvas and got it for about $400 :yahoo: I thought it'd be nice home decoration :D
It's an Alzer 80 and my SA now sent pictures to LV Paris about fastning the canvas. I haven't got the quote yet though.

Is it on the outside not the inside lining? Ink stains are very hard to remove and using any chemical only make it worse. You could perhaps ask in a LV store?

I brought my LV bag into the Houston Galleria store today to find out how much refurbishing it would cost. The leather is actually peeling off the piping and handles! I was quoted $600 for the repair! What are my other options besides buying a new bag? Is there anyone out there who repairs LV bags?
