I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

As I have come to understand: your request is not submitted and you’re asked to apply again next day.
We have been applying for the lottery over the past few days: I recieved an email from Hermes RDV "Please confirm your appintment" 2 out of 3 times, my partner never received a confirmaiton email. I was enteirng mine and his appointment requests one after another.

Ah not at all! Very much of the mindset that if it happens it happens - if it hasn’t happened it wasn’t meant to be!
That said if it happens again next year when I visit I might ask explicitly in store to understand why it’s consistently not going through. I could see why once or twice it could happen, but if it’s consistently not going through it seems like there might be something wrong with my phone or something is blocked somewhere.
So much is a mystery 🤷‍♀️but Paris is a beautiful city to enjoy in any event.

Sharing my interim experince with H Paris. Coming to Paris I was thinking to try my luck with a Constance 18. I do not have spend hisotry in France, except for a purchase of a bracelet I did in Cannes like 10 years ago, also I was not ready to spend 1:1 and then ask for a bag, so literally was more of hoping of a miracle, or educating myslef of how H works in Paris. Stock was very low across all 3 stores and I did not have much luck finding items I actually needed.

Day 1: visited FSH at around 4pm. I did not see items I was interetsed in on the display, we just decided to head to the leather desk and ask for a walk-in appointment for a non-QB. We explicitly stated we were not looking for B or K. We were given a card with a qr-code to apply for an appointment.

Day 2: visited FSH at arounf 5pm, no updates on the stock for the items i was looking for. Went to the leather desk and again politely asked for a walk in appointent. Stated upfront we were not looking for B/K. A lady asked what bag we were looking for, we said Constance and we were asked to wait. In 10 mins a leather SA called our name and we went upstairs. SA asked if I have an account with H, I gave her my Name/Surname. SA was not able to pull my account details, I told her that I shop at H in another country and then SA was like "ah ok, then it does not matter". We had 1 min chat and the SA asked me what I was looking for. I said I was looking for my anniversary present and I was hoping to see a Constance 18. She asked me for leather preferences, I gave her a few colours and said that I would be open to other neutral colours as well. She did not ask me for my hardware preference. Then SA said she might not have any Constance but would double check and if I had any second choice. I said I was only looking for a Constance, but if she has a Kelly that would be an amazing anniversary present, to which SA slimed ans said she did not have any K but she would look for a Constance".

SA left for about 10 mins. While we were waiting I overheard people from another table were offered a Jypsiere bag with an SA stating that "we do not have any B/K/C left but I did not want to come back empty handed and here is a Jypsiere".

My SA returned back and repeated pretty much the same ... that "no Constance was available", but she wanted to offer me somehting in similar specs". I was offered a mini Verrou in cuir colour. I did not like either bag or the colour and politely declined. At this point my partner asked an SA if any Picotin or Mini evelynes were available. SA told us that she only got Picotin 24 and red/blue evelynes. I was not interested in either and we left.

Day 3: visited Serves for Petit H, and they did not have the items I was looking for. Then went to George V, where I felt shoe selection was quite good (no Chypre though), however the store was extremely busy at around noon so we left.

Day 4 (today): visited FSH and did not bother asking for an appointment :) Saw people being given cards to apply for the lottery, also saw people being offered Picotin in the loop (18 in multiple neutral colours) and green/orange mini evelynes.

Overall, no luck with a lottery; success scoring a walk-in appountment without pre-send and being offered somehting that I did not like/want, which is also a learning experince :) Stock is low after Christmas and even if I wanted to buy something from shoes/rtw it was a challenge to find my size.

I agree with that last sentence and it is the main reason why I tend not to visit my FSH SAs in Jan.

Hello lovely ladies!

Long time lurker of this community and thread, especially over the last few months in anticipation of my upcoming Paris trip.

Wanted to see if anyone had any insight into whether or not the K Pochette is considered a non QB under the lottery appointment stores. Hoping for some magic dust in scoring my first bag and engagement present while in the city later next week, but have read that stock is low. Has anyone been offered a KP outside of the lottery system recently?

A good friend just received a Kelly Pochette as a holiday gift from her husband; I believe he purchased it at FSH and I know he didn't use the lottery. I believe he just talked his way into it. That said, she's been looking for a pochette for a while, she has a good SA relationship in Paris at another store, and she had not yet found a KP. It is considered an iconic bag.

Stock is always low in early January; there's usually a large restocking shipment late in the month. Good luck!

Thank you for sharing your story! Hope you had an amazing time. Do you think pre-spend would have made a difference for a bag or did you believe them when they said stock was low?

Good to know, thank you! I'm going in February, hopefully, I will have good luck this time!

I think they always have some bags in stock, though the stock levels may vary.
In terms of the pre-spend, I think you're always making a bet when you decide to spend and then ask for a bag in Paris, I would have made this bet had they had something I liked /wanted to buy (not for the sake of buying and something that I can't get at my home store easily etc.)

Also, it is still unclear to me what is the min spend that actually increases the chances of being offered a bag outside of a lottery system. I mean, is there a difference between 0 spend vs 1 scarf/pair of shoes or would rtw/jewelry/like will only significantly increase your chances for coveted bags (B/K/KP/C). From what I understood /saw - they will sell you Picotons/GP/Evelynes without a pre-spend. You may need some luck if you are looking for specific colors/sizes etc.

It’s because lottery for 2nd of Jan was open on Saturday. You need to wait till tomorrow and try your luck to get an appointment on the 3rd of Jan :) and also you don’t need to be connected to wifi in France, any EU wifi/ cellular should be ok (at least I never had any issues)

TL;DR: As a tourist, managed to get my dream Kelly bag today at H Sevres via the lottery system (on 4th ever try!) with minimal pre-spend (3k EUR this time before being offered) while we were on our Family vacation in France. DH got the appointment and it was raining today in Paris! (Note: DH has existing French profile but from Lyon branch.)

(Warning: Long post)
Key Takeaways for our family in this process:

1. We first bought things that we like in FSH: 2 shoes for DH including a Chypre sandal, some simple jewelry for myself and daughters, twilly - total of over 3k+ eur then requested help with all SAs to get bag appointment. All asked us to go to Leather desk - all request rejected. This was expected per the forum so we went on with our Paris itinerary.

2. My DH, elder daughter and I applied to the lottery everyday. Only difference is we used a Local French number instead of home country. Don't know if that made a difference or the pre spend a few days earlier as on the 4th try my DH got a confirmed slot in Sevres at 10.30 am!! We were shocked and at first in disbelief! I thought my DH is pranking us! But he showed us the email and text confirmation and it magically happened!! True to this forum, it seems the track record of DHs getting appointment continues!!
Afterwards the SA that offered us the Kelly confirmed that it's all down to luck. They never touch the appointment system.

3. On appointment day in Sevres, we got assigned a lovely DA. We think it's the rapport that we built with her and the fact that our younger teen daughter could speak fluent French that made a huge difference for us. Both of them instantly hit it off and immediately connected.

4. The other main difference is that we prepared what we wanted in detail for the Kelly - our daughter telling her all in French....specific color, leather, HW, seller or retourne, etc. SA said it makes a huge difference for them as they are able to focus on their search. We noticed two groups nearby saying very general things...we did not see them get offered B/K. Then she also asked us what other choices we have and told her if no K we wanted a Constance or mini Kelly (again with very detailed specs). Then off she went.

5. After just 10-15 minutes she asked us to go to a Private room! We were thrilled and beyond excited! She first joked with us and said sorry but when she pulled out the bag - we all gasped!...a Kelly Sellier 28 in Etoupe! Our daughters chose a twilly and SA happily volunteered to put it on.

Our daughter continued chatting with our SA in French. SA told our daughter that there are so many entitled customers demanding specific bags or even demanding to see the Manager when they don't get what they want. She commented that our family was a delight to serve. Lesson: it helps to be nice, polite and to engage the SA! She did not offer her contact but just asked us to look for her in our next visit.

Thanks to this forum/ members/ experts for all the tips and info (especially the lottery system! we learned a great deal...)

Oh by the way...it was also raining today in Paris! Hermes, messenger of the gods, must have rained us good luck! Hope the others will have their chance too soon! Always be positive.
