I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

For those who believe a pre-spend might affect the lottery (or our offerings if we are lucky to win an appointment), does Hermes look up our profile by our email? I spent quite a bit pre-pandemic but can't find what email I've used.

They usually look it up by passport number. But I believe they have various ways to search your profile.

They usually ask to type my name into their phones to check my profile and confirm with me that it is my profile

I was offered and took home a C18 from CDG 2E this week. They had 2 C24 (a white shade and perhaps vert Jade) and 1 C18 (yellow shade) + 1 Lindy 26 (gold) and a Mini Lindy (vert fizz maybe) “for display only.” They also had a vert fizz calvi duo.
One more question I should have asked you earlier. Did you take home the yellow "display" bag or did they have another in the back (if so, what color)? TIA!

Hi! Hope someone can clarify this for me. When we make an order online, how many days max will the store keep the order for us? Can we claim VAT refund at the store itself once we collect our order? Thank you. 🙏🏻
The website states 21 days. Some members have had success with claiming VAT back with an online order collection, but I’m not sure anyone has mentioned a standard practice on this.

The store holds the item for 21 days, as @msohm states above. You get an email when it arrives at the store, and another in about 10 days if you have not already picked it up.
You do not get VAT on items ordered via the website to a store. They do not give you a VAT refund certificate to present at exit, and if you ask, they will explain that internet sales ( which this is considered) do not qualify for VAT.
You pick up your item, try it on if needed, and leave- the receipt etc is via your email, as it was an internet transaction.
I suppose it's not impossible to ask to return the item ( Certainly have done this if an item is not what I want) and then ask the store to get it for you in a separate transaction. But really?

Hi everyone, really appreciate your thoughts and advice. My DH just received a text message at ard 4 plus in the evening from Hermes to confirm his appointment for Monday and it prompts him to click on the link to confirm before the desired day of the appointment. It says he will receive an email confirmation but it hasn’t arrived yet.

Have anyone of you ever heard of a fake Hermes text message being sent for confirming leather appointment?

I am just quite worried it’s a spam message. I haven’t heard of anyone here mentioning by a fake Hermes text message being sent for confirming leather appointment so I wanted to seek some advice.

Not true. I have bought items online, returned them when I arrive to pick them up, and immediately re-purchased them to receive the VAT refund. I have done this in Monaco and twice in Paris in the last year. I was told to do this by a salesperson in the Monaco store. It's a common practice and not a big deal. I'll be doing it again before I go to Paris in two weeks.

I remember a friend never receiving the email as well but it was not spam. You can also go on the website https://rendezvousparis.hermes.com/client
to check your ‘appointment follow up’. All you need to do is type in your schedule code. Hope that helps!
