Currently in paris, have been trying for an appointment since Wednesday with no luck. Today is my birthday so i tried for a cancellation but they said no, I always shop there and this SA is really rude i even asked her today if my question is bothering her because i was very polite and nice while asking and didnt pressure them at all. Anyway i have three more days so lets see.
I don’t know if it could help you but you might like to say to the SA at the leather desk “I would like to ask for a leather appointment” instead of “are there any cancellations?”

I realized this when I tried myself. The leather desk SA replies to me “in 8 months there are only 2 cancellations because usually people don’t cancel” to my question whether there are any cancellations. But when I am at the desk asking for a leather appointment, they asked me what bag I am looking for and my profile.

It’s almost nothing but it could work. :) happy birthday!

Thanks for the wishes, I totally understand the situation there as i can see how many approached. I actually asked about the reasons im not getting any reply and they said they only send appointment confirmation now and not rejection. And then i have asked if she could fit me in as its my birthday and she said no. I’m not wasting my time in paris going again i have said that i will try once only and wait for the online appointment, paris is so pretty to waste my time in a store.

Happy birthday! Just curious, if you shop there often (and have got QBs previously per your previous posts), don’t you have an SA to book appts with in advance?

Hi. Happy birthday. Sorry it hasn’t worked out so far for a leather appointment. Just so you know, not everyone at the leather desk is authorized to give walk-in appointments. Also, some of the SAs, are fluent English speakers and others only speak enough English to do their job, but not to have a full conversation outside of their day to day activities. It is really a matter of luck if you find the right person that can grant you a walk in appointment. Hope it helps. Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Yes this happened to me too and it worked. Definitely worth asking for an appointment instead of asking for a cancellation

I wanted to share my experience in Paris last week. I arrived Wednesday and immediately applied for an appt (didn't ask for FSH) when I landed. Stopped in the Sevres store that afternoon. It was so beautiful. Anyway, I was looking for a specific 190 cashmere scarf and they had it! I had a lovely SA. As she checked me out I asked her about a leather appt. She led me personally to the check in desk for leather appts. I told the women there that I applied for an appt for the next day but wanted to see if they had any leather appts. I was told yes and to take a seat! I didn't wait long. The male SA asked me what I was looking for and I told him Kelly 25. He said they basically had no K,B or C. He said he would take a look in the back to see what they had. He brought out a HerBag which i said no. He asked me what else I was interested in and told him a mini Lindy. Also said he didn't have (they had the bigger size in yellow). He then offered me an Evelyn which I also didn't want. I did observe garden party and Evelyn offers. I have a GP and didn't want another. I was then on my way.
I applied for appts 3 more times and did not get one. I walked into the George V store a few days later. They were not as friendly. I asked if they had any leather appts and they said no. The store was small and I got to observe several mini loop offers. I didn't see any QB offers. I am very happy with my scarf and it was fun trying!
I got a pair of Chanel Slingbacks and bought my DD a Goyard and waited in line an hour. It was a great trip. I miss Paris already.

Hi TPFers, I have a question about the potential for Hermes Paris to find out if I am selling a bag bought from then. A year or so ago I bought an ostrich handbag (non-BK) from Hermes in Paris through a walk in opportunity. I don’t find myself very in love with the bag now and I rarely use it. I am now deciding whether I should sell it. One of the reasons for not selling it is I fear that Hermes Paris or Hermes might find out that the bag is sold to someone else, and as a result they won’t sell any bags to me in the future. Should I ever be worried about Hermes finding out that I sold one of their bags? I just don’t want them to think that I’m a reseller and decide not to sell anything to me! If this is the wrong thread - apologies! Please let me know where is a better thread to discuss this.

Love your story, and how you just stayed true what you really wanted. Maybe next time it will be the bag you’re looking for. ❤️

Try the walk m-in when you have some time to spare and if not try applying online. I was lucky my hotel was near FSH so I could walk in. But indeed don’t make it the sole purpose of your stay in Paris. ❤️ and happy belated B-day
