Love your story. I am so happy you got such a classic bag. i think good manners; a proper greeting; and consideration make a difference. When i have seen locals with their bags in Europe, they tend to be 30/32/35 sizes, and 32 is perfect. ETA: I would have been embarrassed at the rudeness of the woman who cut in front of you and claimed ‘more entitlement’ too.
Thank you. Agree that good manners really is one of the key ingredients. I think the 32 is perfect for me. It fits my iPhone pro max

Hi Everyone!
Im thinking about going to Paris around New Years. Is that a good or bad timing trying to score a kelly/birkin bag. Either some day before or after new years. Did anyone here had any luck? :) Im just worried that there will be no stock after Christmas

A Kelly or Birkin are always highly in demand. And with Christmas coming everyone wants to obtain a QB as a gift for themself or love one. But then again in Paris everything is possible. As always I'll advise everyone not to go to Paris for a QB/Hermes only. Paris has so much more to offer. Enjoy the beautiful decorated stores, the squares etc. The reason why I will be visiting Paris again around New Years.

Some Eye Candy in Paris. Seeing all the beautiful unique bags on display is a treat. Also zoomed in on a few prices for those of you planning to go. The prices are far better than US prices. This was a couple weeks ago.

Hi, I’m not in the best position to share any experience on getting bag offer in paris but let me share my perception.

If you do not have a profile in France, You might have to rely mainly on the lottery appointment system. My trip at the beginning of this month, an SA told me there are 200k requests each day for appointment online.

If you are a customer who has a profile in France with past purchases, your chances could be higher to score a bag when it is difficult (eg new years, Christmas, fashion week) via request from SAs who served you or the leather desk, even if you don’t get a lottery appointment. Hermes in general likes returning genuine customers.

So, please enjoy Paris (enough to return)

I have posted before, what I strongly suspect, my SAs hint about, but I believe cannot outright confirm. My experience is only with FSH so I will only comment on that.
I think we can all agree that FSH probably always has a lot of stock in the stockrooms. It's unlikely to be otherwise.
I think there are firstly categories of bags obviously reserved for certain VVVIP clients.
Secondly there are bags which are available for known clients with longer relationships and/ or high spend in different departments who make their appointments in advance directly with their SA.
Thirdly there would be certain bags allocated to online appointments/ new clients/ walk-ins. So perhaps perhaps the SAs are not lying when they say," We have no B/ K/ C/ whatever bags left" etc.
Christmas is probably one of the most peak periods of the year, after which the craftspeople themselves take their holidays and I cannot imagine the ateliers are at maximum productivity.
So. I leave you to make your conclusions and decide accordingly if January is an auspicious time to attempt a visit for a bag.
It's never stopped me before as I like and enjoy Paris at any time of the year, even when it's dark early, quite wet and gloomy but also quiet. ;)

What a lovely yellow and I’m not really yellow fan, but for Limoncello I’d make an exception. Hope you show some styling pics.
Thank you - I echo your thoughts entirely! The SA also offered a constance 18 in a bright mid-green (vert comics I think) in a non exotic leather when I enquired about other items in stock, but I fell for the limoncello ostrich. It is truly the most expensive thing I’ve ever bought except for my house. The limoncello a beautiful cool-toned light sherbet yellow, I always prefer PHW and I think the PHW brings a maturity to the fun coloured leather. I’ve searched online for other limoncello ostrich Constance images on blogs/social media but haven’t seen any on any yet… for now I am enjoying imagining (for now) my baby is one of kind!

It is really one of the most stunning color/leather/hardware combination I have ever seen! I'm totally smitten. Congratulations on such a beautiful and special offer, something that will bring you lots of joy and special memories of your trip to Paris!

Currently in paris, have been trying for an appointment since Wednesday with no luck. Today is my birthday so i tried for a cancellation but they said no, I always shop there and this SA is really rude i even asked her today if my question is bothering her because i was very polite and nice while asking and didnt pressure them at all. Anyway i have three more days so lets see.

Happy Birthday! Hope you have an amazing day.

Often times, people’s rude behavior is more a reflection of what’s going on with that person than you. While it does not excuse her unprofessional behavior, I can understand how it can start to grate on SAs nerve to constantly hear “do you have any cancellations? Do you …do you..do you?? Mon - Friday, 24/7. Again not saying that is an excuse but people are human.

Anyways…all that to say, don’t let that ruin your special day. Bon chance!
