I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

Love your story, and how you just stayed true what you really wanted. Maybe next time it will be the bag you’re looking for. ❤️
Thank you . It was a mother daughter trip and I was very determined to not make the trip about getting a bag . My daugher was very patient (she is an adult but not a huge shopper ). I was never going to buy to buy and was happy to go through the experience so I could learn from it for next time . A girl can dream . Everything I have bought from Hermes I absolutely wear and love. It was fun going into the stores . Next time I will go into FSH. 2/3 not so bad!

This is my first post and I wanted to share my (successful) experience last week as well. It's a long story and I tried to trim as much as possible, so be prepared... I did end up visiting all 3 locations in Paris on this trip (definitely not planned) but made purchases at 2 out of 3.
This was mother, daughter, and old housemate (mom's friend) trip to celebrate my 40th birthday. We were there for full week. Prior to this trip, the only purchase in EU was a Silk'n compact wallet in Vienna last year.
We visited FSH Monday evening 30 minutes prior to store closing (big mistake) and it was a hot mess. I went to look at some shoes but they did not have my size on hand at this point. Meanwhile, all three of us tried online lottery for Tuesday appt and no such luck.
On Tuesday, we visited Sevres store to try our luck on shoes and the SA who helped me was able to find both shoes in my size. Purchased Paris loafer in white/RG, Hour loafer in white/black, and a scarf for my mom. The SA asked for my passport to input my information and recognized that it was my birthday a week before. I told him that this trip was for my birthday since it's a "big" one. He asked me if I needed anything else and I told him my dream purse would be a great purchase. He asked me for specifics, so I told him Kelly 25 or 28 non black color and he actually disappeared for good 20 minutes to check. He did come back empty handed and asked for second choice, so I told him Constance and he disappeared for the second time. Unfortunately he did come back empty handed and asked me when I was leaving Paris. I told him I am in the city until Saturday afternoon and he told me to keep trying and to visit if I need any additional items. I finished my purchases and asked the items to be delivered to my hotel. We did not get anything for Wednesday or Thursday lottery.
On Thursday evening, I received the email confirmation for Friday appointment at George V at 5:55 PM. I was reaaaallly happy but also didn't want to get my hopes up because it was towards end of the day and I didn't see too many QB offers mentioned from this store.
Friday came and I kept checking to see if the time moved and initially it moved to 2PM, then 2:30, 3:20, 3:30, 4:20. We did our planned activities and when I checked around 3PM, the website said to come to the store at that moment. It took us about 30 minutes to arrive at the store and as soon as we arrived, checked in and waited a little. Two SAs came, one was still in training so the second sales was there to assist. They asked for specifics, so again, I asked for Kelly 25 or 28 or Birkin 25 or 30, non black color unless it's black and RGHW, neutral colors preferred but bright colors are okay as well. The second choice I gave was Constance, preferably 18 but 24 is okay too. They disappeared for 15 minutes or so, and came back with a sizeable box, which I knew it was not going to be an evelyne or picotin. They led us to a room upstairs and started unboxing to show, and the SA pulled down the dust bag just enough to show part of the handle and asked if I knew what it was!!!! I immediately told him KELLY!!! and indeed, it was Kelly 25 in etoupe togo with PHW. They brought Rodeo as well and I asked for twilly in addition and purchased all three. I also bought a tie for my husband for sending me on this trip. The SA in training told us that this is the first Kelly that he sold so we both agreed that today was our special day.
This is my first Kelly and I am very happy that I was able to purchase what I wanted for my birthday trip. Here are the pics but I didn't take one with twilly on.

Thank you!! We probably did pass each other at some point :) I'm under the impression that the purchase from couple days prior may have helped on the luck.

I do in fact think so . I believe that buying a cashmere scarf and then immediately getting an appt at that store in person helped. Regardless of the outcome I can’t wait to wear my scarf!!! I think it’s more special because I bought it in Paris! Let me know where you list more pics of your stunning bag!!! Any problems traveling home ? Did it go in your carry on? Air France was very strict with carry on size (versus United). Just curious!

Cashmere scarf sounds lovely!! It's too bad that it never gets very cold where I live so I hardly ever use one. I haven't taken additional photos yet, but when I do post, I'll definitely let you know. As for traveling back home, I have a Longchamp Le Pliage medium shoulder bag for traveling and the bag fit perfectly inside. I have Global Entry and I did report that I have a $8000+ purchase on a bag and the person checked and told me it was my lucky day and I can just go because they are too busy downstairs.

Congrats! X2 You’ve got a beautiful bag as a souvenir for this trip and birthday. It seems it was meant to be if not by walk-in than by lottery win.

Thanks for the wishes, I totally understand the situation there as i can see how many approached. I actually asked about the reasons im not getting any reply and they said they only send appointment confirmation now and not rejection. And then i have asked if she could fit me in as its my birthday and she said no. I’m not wasting my time in paris going again i have said that i will try once only and wait for the online appointment, paris is so pretty to waste my time in a store.
I like your approach. As much as l’m excited reading the successes and failures in this thread, l can’t understand the obsession with persistent shopping at Hermes on a vacation. Vacation time is too precious to be wasted trying so many for something that often ends up in frustration (actually imo, vacation time is too precious to be wasted on shopping, but Hermes paris gets an exception. Once)
