Amazing! That’s so lucky for you and nice of her. I haven’t heard of a leather SA letting someone come back for a second try so please keep us posted!

Re lottery - probably no second qb. The appointment only entitled you to ASK for a qb, but won’t guarantee you will get one. If you have already gotten one, they will see in your account that you just got one and likely tell you that “I see you just got one and I cannot give you another one”. Even for a non qb sometimes, they won’t do it. I asked for a fun colored KTG when my leather SA tried to ask what else she can help me with after I turned down her roulis and Constance slim offers, but she checked my account and said you already got one around the holidays so I cannot give you another one. maybe that was just my experience and I’m sure it doesn’t apply to VIPs, but I think I have seen others share similar feedback because they are worried about resellers? maybe you’ll get lucky though!

Were you at the FSH outlet when you got the lottery appointment? And they told you they had none (QB) to offer?

No, this was sevres and I got the leather appointment due to a cancellation. I felt my experience was strange because I didn’t even ask for QBs and was just looking for a travel bag option.

I have gotten a lottery leather appointment too and did receive a QB, but know that not all do/they don’t guarantee it.

I am just confused because I’ve heard some SAs telling the other clients that C is a QB, whereas some in the forum have said no.
Guess I’ll just do a quick check in with the SA later to see what she says

Hi dear, from what I understand, the person whom got the lottery appointment must be there personally cos they do check the passports before allowing a leather SA to be assigned to you.

Yes, I agree about spend not mattering much (unless you're buying a sofa and lots of jewelry :P ) and birthday appointments not being common. I was definitely one that had a low spend (I only bought a ring) and got a birthday appointment. However, I knew going in that nothing was guaranteed.

I had my lottery appointment today at George V. It was originally scheduled for 4:50pm, but kept getting moved up, which I should have seen as a sign. After I checked in at 1:30pm I had to wait over an hour to see an SA. It seemed like they only had one SA doing leather appointments. I overheard her telling the previous client that there were no B/K/C, but it felt like a charade when I told her I wanted a B30 and she acted like it was a possibility and went to check as if one would magically appear. She brought back a Picotin and Della Cavalleria, both of which I politely declined. I spent a lot of money to book a last minute Eurostar from London to make this appointment, but I didn’t want to buy something I didn’t love just to make the trip feel worth it. The client ahead of me purchased a 24/24 21 touch. Just another reminder that appointment does not = quota bag, at least at George V. I did win the lottery whilst in London, so that’s proof that you don’t need to be in France to win.

No you wouldn’t be able to get another QB. Most likely you wouldn’t be able to get another bag at all, no matter the style. There’s been a lot of stories where someone gets an appointment(walk in or lottery) buys a non-QB for example then gets another appointment and are then denied any bag because they just received one.

Just an update for the H community here:
So I went back to the Sèvres store and looked for the same SA who told me to come back this afternoon and he offered me a C18 Gold Epsom Leather with GHW which is one my dream bag! Obviously I took it with NO hesitation!
Last evening, I received the text confirmation that I won the leather lottery appointment and was also offered the appointment at George V at 4.50pm.
Like what @NoKidsand3Handbags said, the SA asked for my wishlist, took it down earnestly and told me that she will go check her stock. After 10 minutes, she came back and said they had no B/K for today and they only had a garden party, a herbag, a Picotin 18 Daisy and a rouile (all of which were bags I did not like).
I left the store with disappointment as I was hoping I would get a QB but went off with none, BUT I guess I will say I was lucky to get offered a C18 in my dream specs!
I wouldn’t visit the George V store tho as thé SAs there aren’t as friendly or are willing to help as compared to the Sèvres store.
Alright, thanks guys for hearing my rant. Shall go order some wine to soothe my half broken soul.

Don’t be down! (Though you never need an excuse to drink wine) You already got so lucky! It’s so, so rare that you and your cousin both got lottery appointments within 2-3 days of each other AND you got another leather appointment prior to winning THE LOTTERY! some people try for years and don’t get one. The Constance is a great bag and you are still walking away with one of your dream bags!! enjoy it and focus on the positives :)
