I always greet the SA's in French when entering the store but from my experience as soon as they know you're American they speak English to you. My first and only Birkin was acquired several months ago through the lottery system at FSH. My husband was the one who actually got the appointment. I find that the SA's at FSH are very friendly and helpful compared to those at other stores.

No, you don’t. I would recommend George v or sevres as FSH can be like a zoo with people hawking on associates, depending on when you go. At FSH, you may have to wait a bit even if you are directed to the waiting area of what you’re interested in and told an SA will be coming to help you. We went when FSH wasnt that busy (due to protests) and still waited 5-10 mins.

I echo with the rest that it is out of stock here in Paris and pretty much most of France as I’ve asked in Nice, Monaco, Cannes and Paris city stores.

However I was told by an SA in Lisbon that Chypre will be a permanent design (like orans) and I will always be able to get another pair next time. Hope this is true. :)
(**I do own one which I bought in Asia and have been wearing it in South France and Portugal. It’s so comfortable!)

Sorry to hear but I can totally relate. Was there in April and my whole family and I weren’t able to get a leather appt. Did you try walking in? You might be lucky in scoring an appt that way and definitely mention your bday next week bc that may help too. Happy birthday and good luck!

I can relate as well! I went to FSH on my birthday, purchased a calvi. The SA was lovely and we chatted a bit. I mentioned I would like a non quota bag for my birthday and I would appreciate if she could go to leather desk with me to ask about an appointment. She asked me what I wanted and got approval to offer it to me on the spot. It’s possible- good luck! (Disclaimer: maybe much harder for quota bag). And happy birthday!

I got 2 walk-in appts, 1 at FSH and 1 at George V and they offered me non-quota bags, so for sure, they are willing to offer non-quota bags. Out of curiosity, what did you pickup?

I was one to get a birthday appointment at FSH which resulted in a b30. Although some say that H don’t care about birthdays, anniversaries, etc, I say it doesn’t hurt to try. My fj sa asked me why was I in paris. I told him I was there for my birthday. He said, “oh! What do you want for your birthday (or something like that. I can’t remember exactly anymore. I posted my story here back in dec)?” I told him I wanted a b30 but wasn’t having much luck with the online system. He said he’d talk to his manager about getting me a “special birthday appointment” which is exactly what happened.

I also went to sevres and the sa there would’ve been able to get me an appointment as well ONLY if it were that day that I was shopping. It doesn’t hurt to try regardless of what you read - all they can say is yes or no! Good luck! Keep trying!
