Hello all. I am planning a visit to Paris in late August/early September. My husband and I both have dual nationality and we are planning to try our luck and apply for an appointment with 4 passports, so I was wondering, if my Schengen visa is on one passport and not the other, does this matter when I'm paying for the bag? And another thing, someone mentioned the passport holder has to pay. I rely on my husband financially and don't have any credit cards or bank account of my own. If I get an appointment under my passport, is it ok if my husband pays with his credit card?

(P.S. all of this is assuming everything goes according to plan and I get offered a bag I like which I'm aware might not happen. I just like being prepared.)

To answer the Schengen Visa question, no, I don’t know why this would make a difference? As long as the name of the person for the appointment matches both the ID and the credit card, you’re good to go!

I may be mistaken but are you asking about the Schengen Visa regarding eligibility for VAT refund?

In my experience earlier this month. My husband got an appointment and I was able to pay using my card. You’d just need to be there with him and bring the passport that won the appointment.

My story is boring, but I'll share it here since I expect it's representative of the typical experience.

I was in Paris for 5 days last week. I applied online 3 times and never got an appointment. I would have loved a Kelly, but it was not meant to be. I had a fabulous time in Paris and bought a bag from Celine instead. The end.

Not boring, just realistic. Congrats with your Celine :flowers:!

Make sure you allow plenty of time for browsing without adding extra stress to the people who are working there. It’s always a bonus if we try to appear sane! Display bags include mini Kelly n box, emerald green exotics if you are into that sort of thing, pocket bolide and other treasures.1F51C894-E48E-4C70-ABFF-FE20AA4CF120.jpeg

May I offer my two cents?
Please go and enjoy your trip and if the bag comes, it comes!
Covid taught us one thing- don’t take life for granted. A bag is a bag ❤️ and paris is beautiful this time of the year- please savor it
I went with this philosophy in December and came home with a kelly! SAs can sense desperation and like any sales person will take advantage.

Agree! The times that I was offered bags were the times that I didn't expect to get one. And when I pushed really hard to get one before, I just never got one! So just be polite, ask, and enjoy the trip. Do not expect to get a bag so that you don't get frustrated and it doesn't ruin your vacation!
