I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

Were you offered quota bags during walk-in visit? Any tips for how to replicate this?
Yes, you can read my story here: :flowers:

My advice it to be yourself. Goodluck!

Everyone's experience varies wildly..
Please read this thread to see that people spend huge amounts of money but still dont get a leather appointment,
Some get the lottery appointment and dont get offered a quota bag
others walk in no appointment no spend and get lucky.
There is no formula, no rhyme nor reason.
Dont overthink
Just go with the flow and see if what the universe sends you.

So true. Not to mention those with long standing spend histories with Paris as their home store experience will not be the same as some one just starting out! All a person can do is try. This thread is really people sharing their experiences, not an exact formula.

Appointments don’t automatically equal a QB offer as we’ve seen time and time and time again in this thread, no matter where in the world you flew in from.

Thanks for highlighting it for me! Such a lovely story! Hopefully luck will be on our side in Paris when we go!

Do you have a strong history in the FSH store? I previously have done some shopping and got super lucky a few years ago before I had any H experience, but know that things are a lot different now with appts needed everywhere! So sounds a lot harder to get lucky! Anyways, hopefully will work out  Sending positive vibes into universe!

This is so true this time i was offered a walk in appointment but they have mentioned that i cant request birkin or kelly. When i told her that I'm a regular at the store and to check my profile, she said we dont check profiles for walk in you are offered passed on whats is left at the store and the decision of the leather desk hostess. In my case she decided that i dont deserve these bags , its fine as for me its just luck i dont stress my self over a bag.

“We don’t check profiles for walk ins?” Huh? What does that even mean? Aren’t they eventually checking the profile no matter what? It’s like some of the SAs show up to work on the defense. I guess if I worked there too I’d be completely jaded especially seeing first hand how ridiculous some people act. At that point tho I’d go work elsewhere or take a step back.

At the bolded. Agreed. Shopping isn’t supposed to be an stress-inducing thing. Sorry things didn’t work out that trip. As a regular do you have an SA? Or do you have to just try until you get an SA?

After she showed us all the items in the boxes, we told her about how we got engaged on the rooftop of the Hermes rooftop garden and that Michael Coste said he would come see us when we visited the store, so she called Michael to let him know we were there.
OMG, you are that story?!?!?!?!?!

I just listened to Michael Coste share your story on the Hermès podcast!

So amazing, as I was listening I was wondering if the new fiancée had been offered a B/K/C after the proposal... I guess now I can ask said fiancée myself ahah. I know the post you shared in December was post-proposal though hehe.

Anywhere in Paris is probably the best place to be proposed to... but the rooftop garden at FSH is especially dreamy and probably the perfect place to get engaged (if you love H!) -- your DH/DF sounds so thoughtful.

Congratulations on your B in December AND your engagement! :flowers:

I did not have a history/profile at FSH. We went in 2018 and my husband won the lottery so the purchase history is under his name. At the time he had a Constance and Jige under our profile at FSH. I was able to build a profile in December with all the other items I purchased except the Birkin 25 which was under my husband's profile.

Guilty! I had no idea that there was a podcast. I am very lucky to have such a thoughtful husband who understands my love for H. We got engaged in 2018 and December 2022 was our first international trip since the pandemic so I was really itching to go back to Paris. I posted the story from 2018 here on tPF in case you're interested in the story but of course you've already heard the summarized version from Michael. https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/paris-trip-for-hermes.457159/page-1636#post-32267945

Thank you

The FSH garden is beautiful. On the way to the garden when you get out of the elevators you can see some really amazing old pictures- there is one frame that shows what the store looked liked through out major renovations in 1820, 1876 and 1926. Then if you are into plants like me, there is a magnolia tree on top of the garden. Which doesn’t make sense since magnolias aren't supposed to strive in their weather/temperature but somehow has been there for years. It’s definitely a special place.
