Sounds so lovely! Congratulations! I am so happy for you! Cannot wait to see an action pic or mod shot if you are so inclined
Thanks everyone! I will post some photos of this beauty when I get it out of the box. I’m still in Paris and I don’t want to unbox it till I’m home. I’m so excited about the magic of that SA. I highly recommend finding one you love. It makes all the difference. I literally already spoke about her BF! I hugged her! I just have a feeling she will find many Unicorns for me. Don’t settle for some rude snob like I met previously.

Keeping you posted got the offer for a b35 in vert amande gold hardware chèvre leather. I could not be happier. I’m very tall (176cm) and so this size works for me. The SA was amazing. We spoke for over an hour about families and her BF. And we already discussed my next quota bag. I think it’s all about the connection. I saw 2 people at tables nearby being turned down for “no stock” and one woman with her mother with scowls on their face and formerly purchased birkins in their hands who were rude and refused to smile when I said hello in the waiting area. They too were turned down for quota bags even though they already own some. It’s all in the luck of the connection with your SA. She said she wanted to find something special for me when I told her I loved green but also wanted a neutral.
Congratulations! It must feel amazing getting an offer for such a stunning-sounding bag! Wear it in good health, and looking forward to your mod shots!

Chèvre leather  What a dream! Congrats on a wonderful offer and finding a lovely SA.

I’m currently in paris, have been trying for an appointment since Thursday last week with no luck. The store is quite empty with plenty of SA at the shoes section not like when i was here in sep. went to the xmas workshop with my kids and we really enjoyed it. I have also asked for cancellation with no luck as they said they are very busy which is the opposite as the store is really not busy at all. I will keep trying until Monday so wish me luck .

Congratulations! Chèvre is already a unicorn, especially in such a great combo!

May I ask if you had (significant) pre-spend in Paris or France? Recently heard that it helps, but might be more so for the non-lottery appointments.

@birkin11 CONGRATS!! You went in with the right mindset and knew that it was a risk but it paid off for you! I can’t to see pics! Enjoy Paris! Since you discussed future QBs did you get the SAs number? :graucho:
She gave me her card and told me to email her a few days before I want to come back to Paris. She was the best! We spoke about family, love life, everything. It was just a connection.

No! I only purchased a belt a few months ago on my birthday. I think Paris is the one place where pre spend is not an issue. She didn't even look at my profile. She was more concerned about the details
Of my story- why I love The brand - where it came from. I told her my granny had a Kelly bag and it went from there. She asked questions and it just turned into this personal conversation where she was asking questions about what I like in the middle.

Ahh that’s the best part of the experience is getting her card so you can build a long standing relationship and avoid the online appointment hassle!

Agreed. I tried everyday for 2 months to get that appointment on top of going into the store multiple times and asking. It’s a nightmare that lottery system if you’re not very lucky right away. I hope I never have to use it again.

I am almost decided that I (living a 1h flight from Paris, ca. 9h via train) will take my chances of applying for a leather appointment and heading to Paris. After my usual SA at my home store left (with whom I had stupidly "moved" my wish list appointment into the new year) their successor will not give me the time of day and said I can "come back in May to see if slots open up". I have obsessively been reading this thread (like 300-400 pages of it). Based on that, I am afraid that the regular leather SA would take me (petite woman, dresses well, in her 30s but looks quite young for her age, also: I don't seem to inspire immediate friendship in women, sadly - I always hear "When I saw you, I thought you'd be an arrogant cow, but you're so kind, now that I know you") for a reseller/turn me down, if I go by myself. My husband has no vacation days left for the year and can't come :/ Also, I admit, I am a bit intimidated going by myself and it would be more fun with someone else.

Congratulations! VA is a lovely color.

Also great news for everyone that chèvre is available again in larger sizes. There must be a new source of skins. Is your bag chèvre Mysore?

I think it’s important to remember to be yourself RBF and all lol. Before I went I was *starting* to get a little intimidated after reading this thread (do this, say that, wear this, don’t do that, etc.) In the end I decided to trust my instincts while in store, dress how I normally dress and feel comfortable in and just be me. I had to remind myself that I'm very observant and to use that (which is why I chose to not go to the appointment desk where EVERYONE started and the receptionists were being bombarded). If you aren’t good at first meet, then go to a section or store where you are more comfortable. Try all three stores. Try multiple areas of the store.

I’d also say don’t worry about looking like a reseller. (What does a reseller look and act like anyway?) Share your story about the SA leaving and that you are in search of a new SA and home store and that you are only an hour flight away. Lots of people have homes stores that aren’t in the city they live in. Most importantly have fun! The stress showed on so many people’s faces at the store and their vibe was awful. Some people made me uncomfortable and I don’t work there lol. Of course these things are only my opinion and not etched in stone but in the end trust your gut and go with the flow!

Hi @jimmyshoogirl, thank you, this is great advice! I'm also very observant, but that's how I know I just come across a bit colder/less likable in the first moment. If my SA wants to chat, I'm sure I'd be able to find common ground. but if she starts out with "What do you want?" I feel like I'll become a "Sorry, no stock"-girl, haha. So I just want to up my chances by making the best first impression and also feeling comfortable (which I would be moreso, having another person by my side). There must be some kind of internal guidelines, because I read soooo many pages in this thread and most women who were treated well/offered stock brought their husband/children etc. etc. I read somewhere in here that you can now (since recently) only try on bags/ bag sizes when you have a leather appointment - has anyone on here done that? I feel like that might be a good way to get chatting - in my home store, we don't have any sizes/models for try-on and it would give me the chance to get the SA involved in the project/ask about her fashion sense ("What do you think works best for me?") etc. But I'd also be worried about coming off as an absolute amateur. What do you ladies think? Because I am so petite, I'm 99% sure, I'd only want a K25 or B25/30 which I know are the most popular sizes :/
