I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

This is so smart, thank you! Also thank you so much for understanding, re-reading my own post I thought I sounded obsessive to the level of slightly insane lol - so I really appreciate that you get it. And yes, that's an excellent idea! I read that FSH isn't really the place to make your "home store", so do you think I should may be try to just apply for Sevres via the lottery instead? Sounds like your husband had a really good time, too, haha.
Eh I think it’s natural to be intimidated and over think things at first but in the end gather yourself and realize you are shopping at a store that you love and keep it at that! There have been members in this thread that has FSH as their home store. I say try. Nothing is written in stone. Just because it didn’t happen for others don’t mean it can’t or will not happen for you!

Yes, he had a great time! He was amazed at all the stories that he was hearing about others trying to get bags lol.

Good luck! Hopefully you can report back that you have gotten an appointment!

I agree with jimmyshoogirl, be yourself is what's most important. I honestly think the SAs can tell when you seem 'unauthentic'/ not true to yourself. I've read comments about dressing up nicely, wear this or that.. but that wasn't the case for me. Both times I went to Hermes I had on my usual, everyday attire. The first time in May 2018 (husband had an appointment), I had on leggings, white t-shirt and sneakers because it was our first time in Paris and we did a lot of sightseeing, even on the day of our appointment. I asked for a Constance during that visit and that's what I was offered. Fast forward to Dec. 2022, I had no luck with scoring an appointment but I wanted to get a few non-leather items anyways so I tried my luck. Again, I had on sneakers, leggings and long sleeve top from Lululemon. During both trips to Paris I didn't bring any designer bags with me because we usually do a lot of sightseeing and take the metro just about everyday so I have my trusty Lululemon fannypack wrapped around my waist and under my jacket/coat.

Please don't think that if an SA starts off with "What do you want" or "What are you looking for" as a bad start. That was the first question the SA asked me this time after we sat down. We didn't talk about life until after I went through my spec list. Our visits to FSH has always been so special and memorable but both experiences were very different. I bring my husband along because he (surprisingly) enjoys the visits to Hermes (not so much LV or Chanel) but he is also my good luck charm when it comes to Hermes.

Remember, think positive and be yourself!
Thank you so much! I actually am not a casual dresser, so that's not something I'm worried about but moreso that I couldn't really gather/prepare for you the vibe. What has been said on here has been immensely helpful. Thank you! Especially you saying that "What do you want?" is not a bad start helps me relax into it. My husband is so sweet and charming and wonderful, really wish I could bring him along and go for a "at least we're in Paris" dinner if it didn't work out. Ah shucks. Thank you sooo much for your kind and detailed reply.

Yes- her first question was “what are you looking for?” And I shifted it by saying “well I wanted to tell you a little about myself if that’s okay.” I then told her about my granny’s Kelly bag that’s gone missing after her death and she was asking for specs of that bag and then she started asking me what about my mom and I explained I don’t have contact with her and that’s how it turned into a life chat. I also asked her how long she worked there and where in France she grew up- and she opened up. Then at some moment she just said “okay I’m going to find something special for you” I was very nervous at first but I remembered she’s just a person.

Thanks everyone! I will post some photos of this beauty when I get it out of the box. I’m still in Paris and I don’t want to unbox it till I’m home. I’m so excited about the magic of that SA. I highly recommend finding one you love. It makes all the difference. I literally already spoke about her BF! I hugged her! I just have a feeling she will find many Unicorns for me. Don’t settle for some rude snob like I met previously.
She’s home

Funnily enough, I have a super similar story, so I can totally relate. Sounds amazing, thank you for sharing!

Great, thank you so much for sharing! I feel like you just made many future readers very happy, haha. Any tips you have regarding months? I gathered weekdays (Tues-Fr) are best, and somewhere between mid-March to June and then October to November? This is all based on everything I read in this thread.
Paris Couture week is scheduled from January 23rd to January 26th 2023

Paris RTW shows are scheduled from February 27th to March 7th 2023

Usually stock is available but not always.. one has to take their chances as these couture ladies
are lurking at Hermes as well as Chanel
