I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

I think it’s important to remember to be yourself RBF and all lol. Before I went I was *starting* to get a little intimidated after reading this thread (do this, say that, wear this, don’t do that, etc.) In the end I decided to trust my instincts while in store, dress how I normally dress and feel comfortable in and just be me. I had to remind myself that I'm very observant and to use that (which is why I chose to not go to the appointment desk where EVERYONE started and the receptionists were being bombarded). If you aren’t good at first meet, then go to a section or store where you are more comfortable. Try all three stores. Try multiple areas of the store.

I’d also say don’t worry about looking like a reseller. (What does a reseller look and act like anyway?) Share your story about the SA leaving and that you are in search of a new SA and home store and that you are only an hour flight away. Lots of people have homes stores that aren’t in the city they live in. Most importantly have fun! The stress showed on so many people’s faces at the store and their vibe was awful. Some people made me uncomfortable and I don’t work there lol. Of course these things are only my opinion and not etched in stone but in the end trust your gut and go with the flow!
Hello,
You are absolutely right.
I had 2 appointments when I dressed up like I came from a palace LOL. Fur, nice dress, most things from Hermes and got out of the appointments with nothing....1 appointment did not even show me anything..........
But one other appointment, I was not feeling well (rained all week in Paris and I was a little under the weather), so, I wore a cardigan and tshirt with black jeans and regular looking shoes......and walked out with a Kelly bag.
So, it really does not matter what we wear. As long as we are comfortable..
Now that I rethink my past, most good items I got from Hermes was when I wore regular clothes....hmmmm, 2 of those times with dream items, I wore the same $60 cardigan LOL....so strange.....when I was not even shown anything in my luxury fur coat and diamond brooch... :-)

Good luck everyone on your quest for the dream bags.

She gave me her card and told me to email her a few days before I want to come back to Paris. She was the best! We spoke about family, love life, everything. It was just a connection.
I totally know what you mean! When I met my SA (in my vacation city), our first meeting lasted 3 hours! We totally clicked and were just chatting and laughing, and talked about EVERYTHING. It's like when you have that amazing first date that lasts for hours! Having that connection with your SA makes visiting the boutique so much fun, like catching up with a friend! (well, a very expensive friend!)

Congratulations on your dream bag!! I'm so happy for you!!

Hii everyone! Happy New Year, I‘m planing a paris trip next week. I hope I will be lucky.

I always wondered how VIP clients get their appointments? I know Michael Coste is the main guy at FSH. Do thez just contact him and get an appointment?

Anyway, I‘m excited to see what they will have in Stock. I‘m looking to purchase a mini Kelly or a Constance 18. I‘m from europe and I have a long history with hermes. Let‘s see if it helps

I think if you’re from the EU and have a long history with Hermès like you say, they will be able to see that and suggest you continue building your relationship with your home store(s) instead of trying FSH (and thus will be less likely to make offers especially for highly coveted items like the mini K).

VIPs have an SA that they contact before arriving in Paris and they have a normal appt. They don’t go through lottery. You don’t need to be VIP to do that. If you build a relationship with the SA you meet, you can do it also but it takes a bit of luck - meeting an SA where you like each other.

Hello! Planning a short Paris trip in the first week of Feb.
How is the stock around this time of the year? I'm hoping for an appointment but if not, some jewelry/silks/scarves/shoes.
Any luck for those asking for appt cancellations via walk in around this time?

Also- anyone traveled to Paris H stores with an infant? I will be traveling with my 6m old so kind of terrified.

I find it interesting that the recent posts from various members have reported different things about scheduling appts with their Paris SAs in advance and bypassing the online lottery. Some have said the SAs invited them to do this after only 1 meeting for at the lottery appointment, while one poster who has a long-term established relationship with a Paris SA was told they still had to apply online and hope to get lucky if they wanted a bag, the pre-scheduled appointment was just to buy non-bag items. Wonder why the difference in treatment?
