Appointment today at Georges V (my SA got transferred from FSH) and bought this beautiful vert fizz b25 in swift.
I never imagined buying that color (I’ve asked for blue or pink) my SA did a great job !

Ps: I did not go through the lottery system I’ve got my own SA and arranged the appointment with her directly

Hi all!
Can anyone confirm definitively please if H faubourg and the USA are linked electronically now as far as QB bought?
I don’t think anyone can confirm anything definitively with H. However, I was just in fsh and got a b30, and my US profile and FSH profile were not linked. I specifically asked just in case I get my offer at my home store before the year is out.

Sorry, this took me a while to post. We are back from Paris and the Christmas rush is over, so I have some time to go into more detail about my experience at FSH.

My husband and I were in Paris for about 3 days and tried every day for an appointment at FSH with no luck. I wanted to get a few things other than a quota bag so I figured we could stop in and ask if they had any cancellations since we were already there. It was a Saturday morning in December, around 11:45am when we arrived at the FSH store. We walked in and I asked the first person I saw if they had any cancellations and she directed me to another associate to check for availability. While I was walking over to check I noticed someone right behind me following because she too was hoping to get an appointment. Luckily for us there was one cancellation. The associate gave us the iPad and asked us to put our information down and asked us to wait a few minutes for an SA to assist us. While waiting for our SA I decided to check out the scarf section and got sidetracked with all the beautiful display items. About 10 minutes passed by before I got a call from my husband telling me the SA was ready for us, so I quickly walked back to where we were waiting. The SA greeted me and took us to the second floor where it was quieter. We sat down at a desk, and she asked me what I was looking for and took notes. ‘What colors do I like, what colors don't I like. What's my hardware preference?’ We then chatted for a few minutes before she said she would go check to see if there is anything that she could find for me. We didn't wait long, maybe 5 minutes and when I saw her come back so soon, I felt a bit disappointed but then she said to us "Let's go somewhere more private, I have something that I really think you will like." So, we walked up to the 3rd floor, where there was no one around, no bags in case being displayed so I thought this had to be good! She had 3 boxes with her, the first she opened was a small box... I immediately signaled to my husband "it's a 2-5" and I was right. She pulled out a Swift Birkin 25 retourne in magnolia with PHW. I immediately told her I'd take it. She then offered a fourbi which I was on the fence about, but she and hubby convinced me to get it. The third box was a leather accessory for the Birkin but I wasn’t sure what it’s called. It was a flat piece with a zipper on one side with two holes that goes over the handles of the Birkin (or Kelly) and is like an outer pocket for your Birkin. Hubby insisted I get it but then asked if we had to worry about color transfer since it was black. Our SA went to check and came back advising us that we should pass on it because color transfer is a possibility. After she showed us all the items in the boxes, we told her about how we got engaged on the rooftop of the Hermes rooftop garden and that Michael Coste said he would come see us when we visited the store, so she called Michael to let him know we were there. He came within a few minutes, we chatted for a bit before making our way over to the Hermes Airship (holiday display/workshop) for photos. Afterwards we went back to our SA and she asked if there was anything else I was looking for and I told her I’d love to pick out some twillies for the new Birkin but also a Birkin 30 I recently purchased. After we picked out some twillies I went back through my wishlist (notes in my phone) and asked her for a pair of Story Boots. She checked her phone and told me there’s one showing in my size but usually that means it’s out of stock if it’s showing ‘1’ in their inventory. She left for a few minutes and came back with the Story Boots. She asked me again if there was anything else I’d like while there and I told her I’d love to get a gift for my mom and I had a mini Lindy or mini 24/24 in mind, preferably in a neutral shade like black or gold. She informed me that the mini Lindy isn’t available but would check on the mini 24/24. This time she asked us to move to a different area, somewhere more private and took us to a room where we waited with all the boxes we would be leaving with upon checkout. She left for about what seemed like 10 minutes. When she came back, she said “I have something you’re looking for. I didn’t think it was available.” She opened the box, and it was a mini Lindy in gold with GHW. I tried it on to show my husband, he liked it and said it would suit my mom. Now we are finally ready to checkout. While checking out our SA wrapped my twillies and bagged our items. We were saying our goodbyes and she handed me her card and told us that if/when we return to Paris to reach out to her for an appointment. We thanked her for all her help and for taking care of us. We were getting ready to leave and she said to us “Can you hold on for a few minutes? I have something special for you.” She left us for another few minutes and came back with an orange box and said, “I had to get approval because we usually don’t do this, but I wanted to give you something for Christmas.” We thanked her again for all her help and left. We didn’t open the orange box until the next day, here it was a scarf! How sweet and thoughtful of her.

I truly think that the stars were aligned for us. Our SA from our previous visit left the company and we had to try for the lottery with no luck, there was one cancellation, and we got that slot. I hope that my story inspires someone who is reading to not give up. If you don’t win the lottery and are close to a boutique it wouldn’t hurt to ask if there’s any cancellations. The worst they can say is no.

Thank you for letting me share my story with you.

Fabulous!! Congrats to you and a very happy holidays!

Happy to share my experience as I always find other people’s stories so fascinating and insightful.

I saw two people getting offered picotins on the floor where I was initially waiting.

We went in a lift to the room, I think it might have been upstairs now that I think about it. She used a key to unlock and there was a small desk and chairs on either side. Felt a bit ‘office’ like. When I exited the room there were a set of stairs leading down which looked like it was staff only on the left and on the right it opened through to the store floor.
I think I got my offer in the same room.

Love your story! Congratulations!

After years of perusing this thread, and living vicariously through all of you with the highs and lows of getting your dream bag from Paris, I can finally contribute with my own post! A fair bit of warning, it’s a long ‘un!

I have been trying to get a Mini Lindy in London for the past year, with the search intensifying in December - partially as a Christmas present to myself, a bag for 2022, and to also avoid the rumoured price increase coming in January.

I spoke to my S.A. about it, and he said, leave it with me. To be frank, that was the same thing he told me all year, and I wasn’t really filled with confidence, and it really didn’t seem like it was going to happen for me. If you’ve read the London thread, you might have seen that I tried my luck with NBS and Selfridges on multiple days.

Each time, I was met with disappointment - being told that the Mini Lindy was akin to a quota bag, it was almost as rare to find in store as the Big Three. I was also fed the party line that they were not expecting any deliveries between Christmas Eve and January. I was doubtful that this was the case, as I can’t imagine a store saying that they had absolutely no stock during the highest retail footfall period. All of these disappointing experiences culminated in a terrible evening where I was pickpocketed outside the New Bond Street store just before Christmas Eve.

That put me in such a funk that I stopped trying for a few days.

My friend cajoled me into trying again when we were going to Harrods. I tried to get there in time for opening, but the tube had other ideas, and I ended up being 8th in line. When we got to my turn, I asked the S.A. for a Mini Lindy. She went away for a while, and came back, I’m sorry, we had one in Cassis GHW Clemence, but we literally just sold it to the customer before you. I was so disappointed I almost banged my head into the desk with frustration. We tried Selfridges again later that afternoon, but as expected, nothing was forthcoming, and again, was told there were no deliveries between Christmas and New Year, despite me being shown new bags that I hadn’t been shown on previous days.

My friend then messaged me late that evening, with a screenshot of two tickets on the Eurostar to Paris! She felt so bad for me that she surprised me with a day trip to Paris! She truly is an incredibly thoughtful person.

We decided to give it a shot with the three Paris stores despite not having any appointments, hoping that some good luck might result in some good news.

We got to FSH for opening time, and I approached the S.A. in charge of leather appointments to see if there were any cancellations. The S.A. raised an eyebrow and asked me what I was looking for. When I told her I was looking for a Mini Lindy, she paused. She said that getting a Mini Lindy was pretty much like a BKC, there’s just not enough stock. She asked me where I was from, and how long I was in Paris for. When I told her I was only here for the day, she considered for a moment, and said, there were no cancellations. But then she said, maybe come and find her in the afternoon and she’ll see what she can do. This was predicated on a non-Big Three request, and with absolutely no promises that she could fit me in. I was immensely grateful to her for this, as I had noted many other people had been dismissed completely out of hand when they asked for an appointment - being directed to the website. I thanked her, and left the store. The store was absolutely heaving, and I could hear a lot of people having meltdowns about not getting an appointment.

We then tried Sevres and George V - but in both those stores, we were given the same spiel regarding only online appointments are available, and that at this time of year it is immensely difficult to fit any more people in, as they have to maintain stock levels for people who had secured online appointments.

Suitably chastened, we moseyed on to some of the other stores, but all I had in my mind was Hermes, so I didn’t really pay much attention to the other boutiques. We had brunch at the Plaza Athenee to refuel, and relax before my afternoon attempt. My friend was disappointed that we didn’t get any appointments but I told her I had faith and hope, given the invitation to come back to FSH that afternoon.

We went back to FSH for 2pm, and I went to look for the leather appointment S.A. When I went to see her, at first she gave me the spiel of no appointments, no service. When I said I was looking for a Mini Lindy, recognition dawned on her face. Ah yes, she remembered me. She asked me if I had a profile here with FSH - and I told her I only shopped for a pocket square there 15 years ago! LOL. She told me to put in my email anyway - and I saw that she could see my London profile. She tapped away for a few moments, and then she said the magic words. Come back in an hour, we’ll have a non-QB leather appointment for you then. She took my mobile number and I went on my merry way, smiling like a nun with concussion.

We ended up at the Crillon for tea while we waited for the appointment, and I had one eye glued on my phone staring at the confirmation message that I had an appointment, still not quite believing it.

We went back to FSH exactly an hour later, and the appointment S.A. introduced me to the leather specialist who was going to help me. She was polite, but not particularly friendly, which didn’t faze me. I asked her if she had a good Christmas, and that warmed her up a little bit, thanking me for asking her that.

She took me up to a semi-private area on the second floor. I presume this is where they put everyone who’s not looking for the Big Three. We sat down and went through my preferences, which were GHW with either neutrals, or bright jewel tones in yellows or blues. She asked if I would consider a Lindy 26/30 or any other bag if she didn’t have any Mini Lindys, as the stock level was very low that day.
I stuck to my guns, if you don’t have a Mini Lindy, there’s no point in bringing any other styles, as I know exactly what I’m after.

She noted that, and left me with my thoughts (a scary proposition at the best of times). She was absent for a good 25 minutes, and every time an S.A. appeared from around the corner empty-handed, I nearly had a coronary incident and fell off my chair.

She finally re-emerged with a solitary small box. I hadn’t appreciated how small the box was, and was initially confused thinking she brought me a shoebox.

She sat down and said, “it was very difficult, but I found you something. I’m not sure if you’ll like it, given that it is PHW.”

I was almost going to pass out from the stress of anticipation. She slowly unpacked the box to reveal an absolute stunner of a Mini Lindy in Lime with PHW in Clemence. I looked at my friend in stunned silence, as we saw a bag in this exact shade being offered a few days ago by a reseller, which had incensed me even more with my lack of success.

I was surprised it was called Lime, as it looks like a true yellow to me, and I couldn’t see the green undertones in the leather.

The S.A. said “I don’t know if you’d like this, as we wouldn’t have this combination in GHW, and I think it works better with PHW.” I could barely hear what she was saying as I was doing jubilant cartwheels in my head. I took all of my composure not to jump about with excitement. I thanked her profusely for the offer and said I would take it!

She escorted me to the cashier to get payment and the detaxe forms filled out while she went to get it wrapped up. She beamed with pleasure as she handed me the bag, saying how happy she was to be able to fulfil my wishes.

I was smiling like a Cheshire Cat all the way on the Eurostar home, and made sure to stop by Fortnums to get my friend a bottle of champagne, as a tiny, tiny gesture of my immense gratitude for her helping me fulfil my bag dream for 2022!

Presenting my new little drop of sunshine!

Apologies for the lengthy read, I do hope you enjoyed my little journey!

Congratulations!!! I love it in Lime. I’ve followed your attempts at getting a mini Lindy and I’m so happy to managed to get one, in Paris, on such a memorable whirlwind trip. Merry Christmas!

This thread can be a roller coaster ride for the emotions so I love the long stories with happy endings! Congrats to you on getting such a beautiful new addition! Persistence paid completely off! What an amazing friend you have!

Congrats on your beautiful bag! What a great story!

I had a question… I just got back from a solo trip to Paris, where I bought a belt and buckle for my husband as a birthday gift on Christmas eve.
The belt is the same size he usually wears and the sales associate at H Faubourg told me it would fit, however it’s a little tight.
I want to exchange it for a longer length belt here at either the Vegas or Beverly Hills stores- Of course I have the receipts packing etc.
Is that usually acceptable to do at the boutiques here in the USA?
