Has anyone recently been able to actually get an appointment via the web system? I travel to Paris often from London and have applied literally DOZENS of times and nothing EVER. I think maybe thousands of people apply even if they are not in paris and don't even have a ticket?? Not sure what's going on. I would have expected by this point I should have had at least one appointment...
I’ve noticed that there were a good amount of people there from other countries just for the day to go to Paris to try their luck. One of the SAs said they had an abnormally large amount of appointment requests this month. I’m guessing it’s always busy at Christmas, right?

I talked to a lady there from Dubai that had been trying for weeks before flying in. I over heard one lady that was there from Japan and hadn’t been able to get an appointment and she kept getting the can no longer book appointments message. The appointment desk receptionist pulled up her appointment requests and told her she tried too many times! Not sure what is considered too many but he was scrolling through all of her requests on his phone lol

Oh wow, one really can't win! You try applying and keep getting rejected, you try asking at the desk then they say 'keep trying online', if you do that they then say 'you've tried too many times' :whut:

Wow. Just wow.

I know that the online lottery system was implemented to resolve the problem of lines snaking in and around the store and other surrounding businesses in the neighborhood - and people camping out overnight - but my goodness.

Tried too many times? What a ridiculous answer. Best to avoid Paris when trying to score a bag (especially if you’re not looking for quota bags). Zoo-like vibe with snobbish SAs!

Yes it’s really like the lottery.

Has anyone heard of applying too much and know what that truly means? I only caught some of the story between them!

I forgot what I think is the most important l thing was that the SA gave me his card!! I will be back in July and will be contacting him when I get back!
Happy birthday! I love LOVE your b30! It’s actually one of my favorite colors. And, most of all, I’m so happy you now have an H SA! Congrats! :D

ETA: I would suggest contacting him well in advance (that is what I what I was told to do when my FSH SA first gave me her card ) but that’s just my opinion :) I also found FSH to be very kind and supportive, but it seems experiences vary greatly among the thread

ETA: I have also read here that if one tries too many times, you may be blocked on lottery bc they think you are a bot.

One of the Paris SAs told me that if you apply more than ONCE a day you will be booted / rejected from the system. I thought it was obvious to only apply once, but it sounds like some people think multiple submissions will increase their chances. Wondering if that is what the SA meant?

I don’t think the system lets you apply more than once after it got through. I remember trying to apply for my husband after I got my application in and I put my email by mistake first. It told me that I already applied.
It’s pretty bad to think that they tell you to keep trying then it blocks you if you do it too many times! They need to find some kind of other fair non idiotic system.

For what it’s worth, on one of the days I entered in my passport number incorrectly and didn’t catch it until the automated email hit my inbox to verify my request for appointment. I quickly reapplied with the correct passport number and with the same email and phone number. The system let me submit the second entry (probably because I didn’t verify the original).

Thank you so much! You’ve been a huge help on this thread!

I will definitely contact him in advance before I get there! They were scrolling for quite sometime thru her attempts! I was shocked!

That makes sense

I thought it was obvious too to only apply once but some things are not so obvious to everyone I’m guessing lol. She had attempted several times. The receptionist mentioned she may have been blocked. She said, “oh so that means you can give me an appointment since I can’t apply online anymore?” He replied, “no Madame.”
