Has anyone recently been able to actually get an appointment via the web system? I travel to Paris often from London and have applied literally DOZENS of times and nothing EVER. I think maybe thousands of people apply even if they are not in paris and don't even have a ticket?? Not sure what's going on. I would have expected by this point I should have had at least one appointment...

At this time of the year, I assume 20.000 people apply per day!
I applied 50 times in a year, living in Paris, and I didn't score an appointment. So what's going on is a looooot of people for a very few spots and a lottery system. I guess;)

@bagsforlife10 i totally agree with @_gelato_ We’ve been rejected for appointments 7 days straight. Keep. Trying!

2 days ago (Sunday) I was talking to a really nice SA in fine jewelry and he asked why were we visiting Paris. I said for my birthday! He said “OH! Happy birthday madame!” I said I’m really hoping to be able to get a b30 for my birthday before I leave! Reading the thread I had already decided I wasn’t waiting until someone asked me. I was going for it lol. He said when do you leave and let me see your passport! I gave it to him and he said ahhh Tuesday! Let me speak with my manager. I can get a birthday appointment approved! It’s a 95% approval but please remember there’s no guarantee. That was fine with me!

We couldn’t believe our ears! I was still VERY hesitant! He went away for a little while. He came back and gave me instructions on what to do and told me to come back on my actual birthday! As we were checking out I saw him typing a lot on his device. Once he finished he said he noted my account since his manager was in a meeting. When I come back on Tuesday explain to the front appointment desk the situation. This last part had me stressed because the appointment desk ladies were NOT giving in lol. He told me someone *should* contact me, if not just come at opening! So that’s what I did!

Tuesday came I went to the front desk and tried to explain what happened on Sunday. The lady quickly shooed me and said appointment online only. I said NO that’s not why I’m here. Can you please look at my profile to read my notes. She said I can only see appointments. I was worried because no one had told me I had an appointment. She handed me her phone to type in my name and there was an appointment for 1600. I wanted to freaking FAINT! She said “oh sorry madame please have a seat and someone will be right with you!”

Within 5 mins (it was really quick because my champagne never made it to where I was sitting) an SA said softly “hello Madame! You are (insert name)” I said yes! She said follow me! We went upstairs where there were several people sitting at desks being offered bags, mostly Kelly’s! I even saw a mini offer!!

I had a seat and she asked me what I wanted. We went through bag styles, colors, hardware, leather and sizes. She asked a couple of questions like what my second preference as b30 is hard to get. I said I’d be open to a kelly 28! She said, “yes Kelly 28 is much easier for me to get. I will be back.” She came back and said “follow me please! So I hear it’s your birthday! Happy birthday Madame!” We walked up more stairs. I’m guessing we were on the 4th floor by now?

When I walked upstairs I saw a big orange box waiting! I almost passed out! She opened the box and said “this is the only one we have left. It’s not the color or hardware you like but I think it will go well with your style. If not I have a color 28 in gold hardware but in a dark neutral.

She opened the box and said the store had just gotten this color in? It’s eucalyptus with phw. I IMMEDIATELY loved it but I wanted to make sure with the k28. She went and got a caban k28 with gold hardware. She was right I preferred the b on me over the 28. I think I would prefer the 25 kelly but the b 30 size is perfection!

Will be leaving Paris on Friday :( we’ve been trying since 9 December but tough luck

Nonetheless, very happy to see others sharing their success stories here! It gives me some glimmer of hope.

Fingers crossed I can get an appointment before leaving on Friday.

Congrats on scoring your dream bag!!

If I may ask, do you think it’s because you’ve purchased something at the FJ section and that’s what made it easier to ask for an appointment? I’m thinking of getting something at the FJ section and hoping that might boost my chance of getting a leather’s appointment.

If I’m being honest yes I think that helped. But I think the openness and my pure excitement did more! My husband has been saying the same too! We only bought a belt and crossbody for him and was able get the red carpet laid out at D&G and Gucci because of the vibe we gave the SAs! They even gave us gifts! We are really good at talking to people!

Oddly enough I didn’t spend a lot at all. I bought a scarf and gloves at sevres on Saturday and the Herakles band on Sunday. No where near 1:1!
