The 3 stores require an appointment for bags, quota or non-quota. You can walk in for anything else or just to have a look. It probably won't change by April... or ever!

Thank you for your response! I have no doubt that they will continue the appointment system for bags (that would be wishful thinking that they would do otherwise!) I was thinking more along the lines of them requiring appointments for other purchases as well. Hopefully that won’t change either!

I wanna share my experiences in Paris in the end of October and wanna ask someone here if you guys know and give me some advices.
I was in Sevres and bought a pair of boots for 1300€ with a very sympatic SA. Then after i paid i ask the man who was in the desk for an appointment. My SA said something and they give me an immediatly appointment. Then someone came, checked my profile (i have prespend before around 1600€ + that day 1300€ = 2900€) and she asked me which bag i wanted. I did not mention any BkC because i met some people that were rejected, and 1 woman who spent 12.000€ once and got appointment for the next day, left with b25 etoupe. so i think that with my 3k history i would never get BkC and i just asked for mini lindy, mini evelyn or herbag. Then she brought a herbag that i did not like, and asked again about mini evelyn, she said she did not have anything. And then i asked for a picotin and i got Vermillon.

2 weeks later i got some missions in Paris and then came to see the SA again and purchased for her around 5000€. I asked her for an appointment and she told me that it is not possible because i got already 2 weeks ago a bag. Well i was a little bit dissapointed, but i still paid, and asked the man for appointment on the desk. However, the day before i came was national days, the stores were closed and the system was also closed. So i was pretty sure that there was no appointment from lottery and even i spent some k still fot rejected. One man asked me when would i leave, how many days in paris and i told i came back today. And he asked me: which bag did you want?. So i thought him that i wanted a Birkin. He refused but then i knew that i lost a chance to get touch on Quota because he did not see my history purchase, just saw how much i spent that day and I left with no bag.

Do you guys think that i will have any chance to get an apointment on my birthday that will be next week? I have pre-spend 8.000€ and wanna go to FSH. Do i need to spend more, same as that woman who got b25 after 12.000€ spending? Or my birthday is a plus and i can ask for an appointment without anymore spending? I just wanna asked my SA if i can come to see her on my birthday but she is somehow offline from last week so i dont really know where to go no to get an appointment on my birthday.

Managed to get an appointment last week!! I had a lovely experience with a very nice SA. My first choice was B25 or B30. But i also mentioned that I like other quota bags and that i loved box leather. He came back with the most special and classic constance 18 in box leather with the mirror inside!! Since you have an SA, I would wait to speak to her about it. You do not need to have any prespend to get a QB if you have an appt ( either through lottery or prearranged with your SA). But, it is my understanding that if you get a non QB and ask for a QB anytime soon after you may be denied. In the future, simply state your biggest ask first. Happy Birthday in advance and congrats on your picotin. IMO, just be patient as your new SA relationship may serve you well down the road.

I tried the online lottery every day, to no avail. I went into fsh a few times and asked for availability and they weren’t even kind about saying no. A lot of attitude. I bought shoes, jewelers, and a scarf, and none of the SAs could help. I tried at Sèvres nearly every day. I finally got a pair of boots in my size that day, and a scarf, and the nice SA said they could fit me in for a leather appointment, but made it clear no B, K, or Cs. I asked for a mini Evelyne or picotin. He brought out two mini Evelynes- barenia and gold, but I didn’t really like the size (already have an Evelyne 16). He then brought out a mini roulis in lime with silver hardware and a lime rodeo. I loved it, and said yes. I had never considered this bag, and don’t know much about it, or if it’s hard to get, especially in Lime. I do love Lime, and it’s lovely. Honestly, was still disappointed. Especially as I saw a Constance being offered to someone else right next to me, even though he told me there was no stock. Not sure what makes them offer it to some, but not others. Maybe they had an online appointment? Still thankful they did squeeze me in, though. That goes without saying, I was lucky. So, it was a bittersweet experience this time.

Congratulations on your new Roulis… and matching rodeo!! Such an understated but functional (and gorgeous) bag!

I totally hear you about being offered no quota bags - especially when there are clearly offers taking place around you.

That being said, to add some perspective, some of the people there who are offered bags might be long standing clients or locals… or a combo of both. Could’ve been a special order or maybe it *was* someone who had an online appointment. So many different possibilities. But the first two are also highly likely.

Glad to hear you’re still thankful for the experience, your new goodies, and the impromptu appointment!! Who knows - maybe the next appointment, impromptu or scheduled could yield a marvelous QB in the exact specs you’ve been dreaming about!!

Your bag sounds lovely. I honestly wonder if part of the issue is whether the SA is approved by the SM to make any offer, IDK

Congrats on your Mini Roulis and the Rodeo. It is possible that the customer who was offered a Constance is known to the store and might have waited for that bag, as Sevres has a lot of non-tourists, regular clients and Paris stores do take down on a wish list, individual requests for bags.

You should have asked for a BKC first. There's nothing to lose. Worst case scenario, they say no, and then you ask for the others bags.

Appointments were registered from the lottery the day before the bank holiday.

As mentioned before, pre-spend is not necessary in Paris if you're lucky with an appointment through the lottery or your regular SA, or by walking-in. Some people spent many thousands and were still denied a slot when they asked after their purchases. Also SAs tend to spot clients who desperately spend for quota bags.
Many factors have to be considered, the good store, the good stock on the D day, the good SAs, not too many clients that day, not too many VIP/regular/local/good clients that day (which will affect the stock and what can be offered to anyone)...
Your birthday might be a good point if there's someone nice at the counter but doesn't guarantee an appointment either.

Hopefully the H fairies will be on your side and you'll get an appointment and the bag of your dreams

Just letting you know - as think there were some speculations - that I had an issue (around 10.40 Paris time) with appointment for my husband being messaged with something like 'we no longer taking for today/try tomorrow'. He has no record with Hermes so it's not that he was blocked. It kept showing like that on a few phone models we have (and on/off wifi)in but then I changed a phone number in the appointment and email address and his appointment request went through (not saying he'll get it haha). I think there are glitches on the website rather than eg. being blocked or quota of applications met.

I read many pages back on this thread…that the SAs each get discretion to allocate 1 appointment per day. Separate from lottery. I think that’s how people get appointments outside of the lottery. And I bet it’s also dependent on availability (meaning if some of the appointments wrap faster than the allocated hour per person so that off book appointments can happen ).

This isn't 100% accurate. All three Paris stores have SAs who work with longtime, often local, clients, and they have more than one appointment per day to allocate.
Most walk-in leather appointments do come from no-shows or scheduled appointments that didn't take much time, though.

I was able to get an appt after working with an SA at Sevres mid Nov. It was also strike day and I think the store was less busy? I had about $5k in pre spend up to that point and not sure if that made a difference. I asked my SA about non quota bags but once the leather SA came to ask my wishlist, I did ask for B30 and also listed other non quota bags. He told me there were no BKCs and I said this might be my only chance I could ask so I will still “practice.” He told me to wait and when he came back, asked me to follow him to a private room where there was a large orange box on the table! I was offered a B30 in Gris Perle Togo GHW and 3 Kelly 28s to choose from (gold evercolor retourne PHW, noir sellier PHW, and Etain Togo retourne GHW). Even though I had initially asked for a birkin, I went with the Kelly 28 Etain as that colorway seemed best suited to my lifestyle. He also mentioned this was my first quota bag in Paris so I’m not sure if that made a difference. There were so many factors but I don’t think it hurts to ask even if they say there are none.

On a non-bag note, this month FSH has an interactive Christmas room where you can take your photo in a hot air balloon installation, color a horse or a Pegasus to be scanned and projected in their digital mural, and make your own balloon Christmas ornament to take home. My friend and I had a great time and wouldn’t have known about it if the SA who was helping us with scarves didn’t tell us to go check it out. It’s free of charge and no appointment needed. It was not busy at all when we were there on Friday, although that may change with word of mouth. It’s located upstairs behind the fine jewelry, so you wouldn’t know it’s there if you weren’t looking.

I know the algorithm is funny, some score an appt first try others after a lot of times.
I scored an appt on my second try.
Unfortunately was sick so couldn’t go.
Going back again and wondering if I should start trying to get the rejections out of the way.
