I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

Congratulations! :yahoo:I am so happy for you! I agree that there are ways to a coveted bag without an appointment, but that they are rare. Asking for the name of ones SA or asking for all of your details will not replicate your personal experience for another.

if people are being unpleasant or aggressive, you can report the posts or private messages as per @papertiger and other mods. If it’s a private message, hit report on the lower left of the post. Don’t leave the conversation, bc that will erase the posts
Thank you and I agree that replicating someone else’s purchase history or working with the same SA does not guarantee a bag offer.

I know TPFers who have become more reluctant to share their offers recently (myself included) because of the weird reactions that people are having — most are supportive while others are aggressive and even dangerous like the experience that I posted about in Overheard Hermes Thread. In that scenario, the unhinged customer was watching my SA and I as we exited the private room. She followed us to the cash register where my SA stepped behind the counter to prepare my packages while I proceeded to pay.

I have been an Hermes customer for many years and I am definitely seeing an escalation of outrageous behavior that is both frightening and sad…..

A little feedback to my last appointment at Hermès Sèvres. I was very surprised and happy to get an appointment through the lottery system. When I arrived I had to wait a little because I had arrived earlier and then an SA came to tell me "I will take care of you for your appointment, how can I help you Madam?".
I explained that I was looking for Kelly bags in 25 or 28 sizes and she told me right away that there were no B, K or C available now due to the manufacturing closing in August . She said none of these bags will be available until February... I guess she meant "not available for you" and tried other bags as she insisted she could find me a suitable bag to my needs. I went without because I couldn't find a style that I really like and because I really like kellys.
I was disappointed but I understand because I had no purchase history in this store, only at FSH. Maybe next time !

Has anyone managed to secure K28 or 25 recently at Sèvres ?

OK....that is terrifying. This is when security should have stepped in; where were they??!

I hope those "customers" were banned, for life.

Yes Hermès keeps a few items you ll never see in store For their French good customers and call them directly when they receive what you want or wish

The security guard was nearby, about 30 feet away. The unhinged customer had a tantrum, then stomped off with her friend. I didn’t stick around to see how security handled her, though I am alarmed by the escalating behavior that I am witnessing at Hermes boutiques worldwide — from staff being berated and threatened, to obnoxious customers refusing to leave the store until they received an offer. Did these customers really think that a “sit-in protest” would get them a bag???

Does anyone know if there are Black Oran slides at any Hermes stores in Paris. Already checked in Saint Honore. None in my size.
you can try ordering online first (online has better stock shoe-wise) and if you are buying more items at the store, you can ask them to return the pair you buy online and repurchase it to be eligible for vat refund.

I'm alarmed just from reading the stories, nevermind actually experiencing it like you did. I'm so sorry you had to deal with that....

I'd love to visit the Paris boutiques sometime in the near future; but if "customers" are acting this insane about bags, I'd be concern about bringing any of my H bags to Paris!

I wanted to contribute something to this thread bec I stalked it before my Paris trip.

My friend and I tried the lottery system for a week, no luck. We went to FSH, I bought shoes and asked about an Evelyne, answer was no. On our last day, we came back just to browse. I found a bracelet I liked, then asked about Evelyne again, and long story short -- I was able to get a gold Evelyne!

My take away is it really depends on the SA you interact with. The shoe SA I brought from the first time barely glanced at me. The accessories SAs were nicer.

Overall, I was happy because I wanted another Evelyne and didn't really expect I could get one without a leather appointment. And this was on our last day in Paris, we were done shopping by then so this was a pleasant surprise!

Hello bag lovers, I just returned from Paris, Oct.28 - Nov. 3. It was a lovely trip. In short, I applied for Hermes appointments daily and could not get one. Eventually, I went into the flagship store and looked at some jewelry. While they didn’t find the piece I wanted in my size, my SA was very kind and shared some valuable tips to help me get my dream bag.

During my visit I purchased a belt and buckle and later went to the other S. Store later that evening. I spoke to the leather consultant and spoke about my special occasion visit to Paris and she arranged for me to see an leather goods SA! What a blessing it was that she was extending an exception.

My SA asked what I was looking for, which was a Kelly 25 in a neutral color. He brought out a few bags, one in an olive green, not my taste. And a few others, he mentioned he could possibly get me. (see pictures below)

Then, I ended up with this beautiful Bolide 25 Etoupe bag, in which I selected in the display. He was determined to offer me a starter bag for my collection rather than the Kelly or any other quota bag.

I heard that it’s difficult to even be offered a bag even with an appointment. For some reason, I was not prepared to be offered a non quota bag.

Now, I am quite pleased with the Bolide, it’s very functional and understated, and has a wonderful story of being the first bag created with a zipper. Initially, I never heard about this bag, yet alone any of the others he was offering me.

I was told my bag was rare and a sought after color. My SA then said during my next visit to Paris, maybe I will get my dream bag.

Does anyone have any similar experiences?

Is it particularly unrealistic to get a Kelly as a first bag?

I love the bag you got. I would not call it a starter bag at all. Many people who have an appt do not get a K. I’ve had a hard time sourcing the right bolide in part perhaps bc 2023 will be the 100th year anniversary of the bolide. I think what is rare is that it sounds like you now have a paris SA :yahoo: Whatever the case may be, congrats!

Great point! Thanks for helping me see that.

Hello everyone.
I have been reading this forum for so long, learning from you all. We have been in Paris for over week so both husband and I decided to apply for appointments and all we got was rejections, so I visited the store and bought a pair of the H loafers, next few days after applied rejections again. Then on Saturday we got an email saying we got an appointment. Today I had little butterflies in my tummy ones so nervous so we went in. Everyone was so nice. I asked for B or a K they said no stock specially on the colours I wanted . They offered me a Her and Picotin 18. I really liked it so my husband said just take it it’s beautiful who knows next time we trying again. We leave in the next few days, I will try again when we visit again. I did also buy a twilly and a scarf, make
Up.
