I personally have never heard of a Sales associate who just gives bags to those she doesn't have as existing clients because somebody said she or he was 'nice'.
I'm sure that if I stand to be corrected perhaps somebody has already DM'd you an intro.
You don't mention that you are after a bag and if it is other categories you wish to shop your best option would be to go to the Boutique and get introduced by the staff there with an SA in Jewellery or RTW etc.

+1 with @Genepi and @maxroxxherhandbags . This has also been my experience. I think this is standard nowadays with increased demand and scarce product. I agree with @maxroxxherhandbags that if a prospective client would like to make a connection in Fine Jewelry or another (non leather) dept, she is best served by going to any of the boutiques in person where an SA can assist. It is then up to the individual SA whether to invite the client to make contact on a subsequent trip. I will say that, at least in my case, the determination of whether an SA wishes to cultivate a new client is not based on extravagant one time spend but on genuine rapport (as per @Genepi ).

ETA: IMO only, an FSH relationship, like those in a home store, is not predicated on QB.

This! There are bags, not in excess but there are always! Just not for some customers, some of the time.

FSH had an artisan making a red Kelly bag and it was fun as he engaged with customers. The Sevres petite H paper workshop was also nice and interactive. Although I didn’t get a QB, I was able to buy some stuff l liked and enjoy Paris!!!!

Hi Carmelus,

When were you at Sevres? I was there on Wed the 14th in the afternoon and morning of the 15th. For those who may be interested I am also attaching a pic of the bag in Bleu Orage.

@Genepi has essentially summed up everything concisely, as it is currently. On this forum we have always freely shared SA contacts, for me across brands, specific departments and stores. My SAs have kindly given leather appointments at FSH in the past, the most recent being just prior to Covid, I think it was Nov 2019, to a friend of mine. I always ask my SAs for their permission and it as a favour in advance, because we know they are always absolutely overwhelmed. They are now discouraged from doing so and Hermes stores in Paris feel the random appointments assigned online are fair. I may not necessarily agree and have said so many times. My senior SA really feels it is random. I know personally of at least 2 new customers who have had recent success with one or two appointments, gotten their bags and were not given contact information by their Paris SAs either. Just this Fashion week in fact. I know also of local customers with prior purchase history, who currently reside in Paris but have basically been ghosted too. So even if we do share names, one may not get a response back. That is the current situation right now and I do hope it changes.

I’ve read tons of reviews and never thought I have a chance to share with you my story..

I just finished my appointment at FSH today after a month trying to get an appointment ! I was so hopeless to ask for a Garden Party from southern cities, milan, and Spain but no store was willing to give bag to tourist, adding to the fact that the fashion week is happening from Milan then Paris. I just said to myself c’est la vie and enjoying trip as much as I can ! On the night Before the last day, my SA at my homestore sent me a message asked me when I’m back because he had something for me and he couldn’t hold it long. I was screaming and talked to myself “home store is the best”. 30’ later, I received a message that my appointment at FSH request is confirmed. I was jaw dropping , really didn’t know what happened! Next day, I went to FSH with just a little bit nervous cause I know my SA is waiting me lol. I fortunate to match up with an SA who has a very charming smile lol. After a little chit chat and dry joke from me, he asked what bags I want, I politely said I want to try first before deciding which is suitable. I then sorted to B & K 25 with open to color and hardware. He said he will check and asked if I like any other bag if there was no B/k. I know I should said no, but weighing the fact that fashion week is on going and I am not a celeb so the chance is so rare, I think a few secs and said I’m ok with mini Lindy. And of course, when I said that, I knew for sure he can come empty hand or a Lindy for me at least. After like more than 15 mins, He came back with two big boxes, one is Mini Lindy and one is mini Bolide (I knew it!!!). I walked out with Mini Lindy and felt so happy even though I couldn’t score B/K, but tbh I felt guilty to my pocket if he offered me the B/K lol, I think I am not ready for that bag yet.

So just like many many ppl have said, don’t let the appointment system drag down your mood. I’ve seen many ppl begging the hostess with attitude and felt so bad for him. For Hermes, when it comes, it comes. My Paris trip is filled with joy and drinks that offered from Hermes, Chanel and LV!

Thanks for sharing! This is the second time in a few months I have been back at H in Paris. I got an appt in Aug but didn’t like the bag offered (not a B/K/C). This time, I met a really nice SA - we swapped numbers, I purchased some things I wanted. I tried for 5 days and didn’t get an appt but I have decided I am going to stick primarily with my home store. I saw many people spending $$$$ and still not get a bags or appts. I really think H wants us to shop in our home stores in countries which have them. I know that’s not always easy if you don’t physically near a store but that‘s what it really feels like. Of course it was fashion week but still, I think this is the last time I will hope for an appt in Paris and I have made peace with this. I am happy because I bought some really unusual homeware, RTW and got my hands on a craie Bastia Porte-monnaie.

Exactly !!! I don’t want and couldn’t throw $$$$ (obviously I don’t have $$$$ to spend and super lazy to think about re-selling those unused stuffs with daily scam news from both Sellers and Buyers side) that don’t know what will be offered afterward. The reason I follow FSH is because it seems Hermes want to create a place where customers can test their lucks with H fairy lol as SA there can no longer share info and of course their headache appointment system. It’s very different with Serve and George V as I learnt and I think those stores are serving locals only. I feel fun to put my name in everyday since it doesn’t and shouldn’t hurt to try!
I hope you will be happy with H experience whether you get the bag on your next trip.
