I went to FSH today and it was crazy, nothing in stock. I asked for calvi or calvi duo but they only had one calvi in orange, i wanted something else. I also wanted saint german boots they didnt have any size. The SA said that because the artisan are busy with making bags there is no luck in slgs not sure if this is true. Something else i have noticed they had wallets and calvi behind the glass for display only which is so Weird.

That’s just ridiculous, calvi for display only and not available for sale?
Try the other stores maybe less hectic?

I think it’s because the artisans didn’t work in August so the stock must be depleted almost everywhere.
The US website has a lot less now than in July.
Hopefully soon there will be more stock in. They probably have to speed things up now because the Holidays are around the corner.

Omg - the craziest thing happened today at FSH. I showed up to my leather appointment and got assigned to a lovely SA. I told her about my wishes (Kelly 25 in neutral colors) and she went to go check. It seemed like she really really wanted to give me a bag, but she came back empty handed and said she had nothing that fit my wishes. She then offered me to do a Special Order. I got to choose the leather, colors, hardware … and will receive my bag in 9-12 months. Have you ever experienced something like that at FSH? My purchase history over there is only a perfume … can’t believe it. Let me know what you think!
Congratulations! That sounds great!

May I know when was your perfume purchased? Was that before this trip or on the day of your appointment? Out of curious, were you a regular customer at your local home store? Thanks for sharing!

This happened to me years ago (before I lived in Paris) at George V. I think for some customers it can happen because the SA or SM can't accommodate your wish or your taste (for me, it was because I preferred heritage leathers). My mind was blown at the time (this was well before I was a regular customer). It is a wonderful opportunity - congratulations!!!

I am planning on visiting Paris next spring and reading up and preparing for this lottery system. as we are a family of 4, with 3 adults and 1 teen, does anyone know if I can have my teen apply for the appointment as well? I saw the online form and it doesn’t seem to have an age restriction. However, I know that each person applying has to have their own phone number to receive the text and have a credit card to pay, which she has both. I know it sounds desperate but I guess I’ll do whatever to increase my chances in gaining an appointment during my 5 days there.

Hi, I tried this when my son was 15, but they won't sell to anyone under 18 as EU rules require them yo be 18 to be eligible for VAT refund.

I’m so happy!

I bought the perfume in December 2021 (hoping it would get me an appointment) and I do have purchase history at home. A few pairs or orans, some mosaique, a Kelly belt and an Avalon blanket - that’s it.

I think it really was because she liked me and wanted to make my wish come true.

 I’m happy it worked out for you.
my appointment was at 4:30 and on my wishlist were: K25 in pink or in green.
She told me that she could see a few neutrals available : gris meyer and étoupe but because I already have étoupe and etain in my collection I declined.
I guess your SA didn’t offer you the neutrals because it wasn’t approved by the manager but she was allowed to offer an SO. (Don’t know why they prefer to offer this instead of selling the existing stock).
Bear in mind that your SO has to be picked up in person in Paris and that you’ll have 1 month only to do so once you get the email mentioning the bag is ready.

Yes, luckily I live in Germany and it’s only a 3 hour train ride. I can’t wait to pick up my beautiful special order

Hi guys! Im going to Paris in October and I’ve been reading this forum for a while… do you guys apply for appointments prior to visiting to get through the bulk of rejections? I’m a bit apprehensive to do this incase I am lucky and score an appointment before I actually go haha. Happy to wait until day before as we are 3 people but would be interesting to know what you guys do…!

Hi! 3 options: you have an SA in Paris who can schedule an appointment at your own convenience / you apply online any day of the week (except Sunday) for an appointment the next day / you walk in stores and ask for any cancelations and possible appointment. I'm not sure what you mean exactly by scoring an appointment before you actually go, but online system is for next day appointment. You can't apply 2 months in advance.

I believe this has been asked quite a few times recently... A popular 'strategy' seems to be applying way before one is physically in Paris to 'get the rejections out of the way', but it is possible to get an appointment at your first attempt (personal experience), so if you apply say 2 or more days before you are in Paris that appointment will go to waste, and you won't be granted another one anytime soon. I'd suggest only applying the day before you are there at the earliest.

Thanks for the info! Sorry I didnt mean making an app in advance, I meant applying for an appointment before my trip (I.e today for tomorrow) and I won’t actually be in Paris is the risk I am talking about. As @_gelato_ says it is possible to be granted on the first try.

I don’t have an SA in Paris, will try to click with one so I have a future contact. I think I will wait until the day before I go to Paris as I don’t want to risk it!

The chance of getting an appointment is the same on your first try as on your 1000th try - the only variable being how many people apply each day. That is how probability works. There is no "bulk of rejections" to get through, and applying for let's say a month straight before your trip will only result in you possibly getting an appointment that you have to cancel.
