Omg I got an appointment for Monday at FSH - after over 40 tries!! It’s insane - any useful advice?
Don't look desperate/needy. Don't worry that you're not gonna get a bag or you're gonna end up with a rude/snobbish SA. Otherwise you will attract the conditions you're worried about.

Instead, try to be playful and carefree. Relax and go with the flow. You got this.

Congratulations and good luck!

P.S. given the No. of trials the new system requires, it now seems mainly catered for locals and European residents who had flexible working hours and not too far from Paris.

Most travelers wouldn’t have the flexibility and time to be that available. Maybe it’s the intention of H or just a side effect…

I hope locals have regular 9-5 working hours had their ways to get an appointment, otherwise the competition is tougher than ever for them too. Many industry wouldn’t have the flexibility to standby for an appointment except (international)students and people unemployed/ self employed ( even self employed can be crazy busy and can’t stand by.)

Great news for pp make a living by … ( selling ) and used to up early, que at the door, no need to be an early bird anymore…

Not so good news for tourists from some places but guess H is aiming at convincing pp to buy from their home countries…

I am planning on visiting Paris next spring and reading up and preparing for this lottery system. as we are a family of 4, with 3 adults and 1 teen, does anyone know if I can have my teen apply for the appointment as well? I saw the online form and it doesn’t seem to have an age restriction. However, I know that each person applying has to have their own phone number to receive the text and have a credit card to pay, which she has both. I know it sounds desperate but I guess I’ll do whatever to increase my chances in gaining an appointment during my 5 days there.

I guess there’s nothing stopping you from doing this, but as you wrote yourself, ‘this sounds desperate’, so if the teen ends up getting an appointment but the bag is actually for you, the SA will surely feel the desperation and I don’t think it bodes well for your offer prospects. Just my thought.

Hi! It depends on the age…if your teen is 18+ and his/her credit card has such a high limit (wow!) they are legally fine with it. So the age is an important factor as we are not talking about selling some sweets to kids.

By that time, my kids will be 19 and 15 so my 15 year old is the one I’m not sure about. But they have additional cards of mine, so not actually their own with a high credit limit. Lol.

The teens can be put on the parents cards as authorized users, not necessarily having their own cards with high limits.
