I really credit that website for having a lot of good info that I’ve learned from, but this author’s experience seemed a bit off to me. We’re told that everyone’s H journey is different and that we should never compare, but I was inspired by the recent comments to put myself as another data point that my Paris trip was nothing like this article’s.

Yes every H experience at FSH is different.

This story blew my mind. My friend scored an appt at FSH and wanted to buy QBs and other bags. SA said sorry no bags. She asked for any bag. SA brought out a couple of less expensive bags in diff colors. She took both and asked if there was anything else. SA brought out more. She said yes to some, no to others and asked if there are other bags. SA spoke with SM and retuned with other bags and QB. At this point 2 SAs were assisting. Asked if they had exotics and exotic QBs were offered. She showed me pics and bags ranged from Evie, Picos, to go wallets, Roulis, Lindy, Constance, Bolide, Bs/Ks in leather, lizard and alligator. Spent $200k+. No profile and first time shopping H. This is not the norm of course but it happens.

Totally agree!
Plus she arranged first to meet with Ms Faubourg (on Instagram), who has a bunch of followers and is a jewelry seller. However this SA often sells bags too as I have seen her posted with her clients after purchases.
I am sure that she connected either this way or with ******** main writer who for sure is VIP and gets maybe over 8 QB plus SO per year. I counted!
I was successful at FSH as the mother and daughter above.

Here’s my summer story from the very end of June.
I have been going to FSH for years as I am French and from Paris and have been living in the US for almost 20 years. But when I go to see my family.
I applied for appointments to FSH with both my husband’s and my passport for 10 days.
Nothing. I didn’t even get rejection emails some days…
Then again I never managed in years to get an appointment through the lottery.
We went to the store around noon and I ask for cancellation at the leather desks. A man wasn’t very helpful and didn’t care. So we went to look at the scarves and decided to try to see later if someone else would be nicer while he would go to lunch.
I bought a bunch of scarves and the SA was very nice. I complained to her about the appointment system and she agreed but said it’s the most fair.
She suggested trying online for both stores.
Then we noticed that the man at the leather desk had left and we went to ask a lady who seemed familiar.
We asked for cancellations.
There was nobody around and she took us a bit further to look up my account. She found it.
Then she told me she could give us an appointment right there. She had a SA who would be ready soon! We gave our phone number and 10 minutes later he took us upstairs.
He offered us a drink and asked for what I was looking for.
My kids started playing with their switch nicely finally.
I told him that I was looking for a mini K and a B seller hopefully in 25 because I already have other 30 and K25. I gave him my choice of colors (mostly Mauve Sylvestre and Pinks, hopefully Rose Gold hardwear) telling him I was opened to others except white and yellow.
I also mentioned something crossbody and he stopped me right there saying there was no Constance at all. I said ok.
He had looked up on his phone for inventory and would check what he would find.
He came back after a while with two boxes and took us upstairs. I was very very excited!
He first apologized that the stock wasn’t the best because it was just after Fashion Week.
He opened up the large box.
It was a B30 Seller in Bleu Indigo!!! I was so happy!
Second box: a Constance 24 (I just discovered it’s the re-edition) Mauve Sylvestre in Rose Gold HW! Remember when he said he had none?
I was beyond happy.
However I was concerned that I couldn’t choose since I thought they were both QB.
I told him I wanted both but wasn’t sure if I was allowed to buy both?
He was surprised and happy and told me that today I could!
My husband said it was the quickest decision I ever too.

Note that it’s not the first time that I get a walk-in appointment but I never managed to score one online. Before Covid it was not hard to get a walk-in.
I got one last August too because the store was empty. In December it was chaotic and I still got one because there was a mistake in my account and I couldn’t apply online. They had to fix it and give me appointment to apologize for their mistake however they truly had no stock because it was Xmas week and the warehouses had closed sometimes before in France. Remember the empty shelves?

I highly suggest to try in person when not busy.
Passing the leather desk is the hardest part. I have been refused walk-ins many times. Don’t give up!

Congratulations! My favorite part was your kids starting to play nicely. As someone with two little boys, I know how that can make all the difference! :lol:

I think so too!! At the end of the day, the luxury of getting such a coveted handbag is a plus all in itself while being in such a beautiful city. I will try the online lottery but I will not let it distract me from the beauty of Paris! Although I think for Hermes lovers like us the ultimate souvenir is a piece of FSH :biggrin:

She said I was not getting a mini Kelly so I gave her all my favorite colors for the B25. She said ok I can’t promise anything but I’ll check. She came back about 30 mins later and took me to a private room. She opened the box and it was a B25 Barenia Faubourg Fauve GHW! I screamed YES! She also offered some Evelynes which I declined but I did get 2 twillies. So that’s how I scored my Birkin at FSH without an appointment. Basically don’t give up!!!

Congratulations!!!! Perseverance pays off! I also have a Barenia Birkin in a 35---Gorgeous bag good luck enjoy her, Love mine & truly only getting better!

Thank you and good to know! I must admit it’s a little scary carrying her around because the stories I hear of them ruined my finger prints and water etc…. However I’m going to enjoy my bag so what will be will be.

Sadly an appt doesn’t guarantee a BKC, and many people are not able to obtain dream bags. I have no idea if this is the case, but i wonder if your purchase history popped up that you had just received a popular non QB the day before without the appt. IDK if that makes a difference or not. Certainly there are people who are luckier, (I’m not sure what to think about the ******** purchases, but I personally find it depressing to think that way). JMO and YMMV.

I honestly thought the same thing, that once I had a purchase history, I was able to score an appointment.

I was disappointed bc I read so many stories about people scoring their dream bag, but I am very excited about the Geta.

I feel so bad for our community here who made it all the way to Paris and (a) didn't get an appointment or (b) didn't get anything from an appointment. What a rollercoaster ride. We were lucky to get an appointment at Sevres earlier this year after a very serious effort (and visting 9 of the French boutiques), but did not get a QB there

And then there's this ******** article, where the author managed to get 2 walk-in appointments and 8? 9? leather items, including 1 K, 1 mini C, 1 KP, 3 (3!) mini evies, and others (with a part 2 article coming!). All during Fashion Week.

Yea it’s very interesting bc as I was being told that they were completely sold out, my brothers friend was able to purchase one. I’m very happy about the Geta but was disappointed not be able to get my dream bag.
