Does anyone knows what’s the average “number of tries” now to get an appointment? I know it’s totally by luck, just wondering if it’s up to months or weeks now. I’ll be traveling to paris in September but only for 3 days, if the chances are slim I don’t want to keep my hopes high.
I have probably tried 40+ times since last December and still no "official" appointment  I'm a local and was able to buy a non QB in January when I asked my dear SA at Sèvres. Then another non QB in Bordeaux in May. And 2 non QBs last week in Bordeaux again.
I know I could ask my SAs here for an appointment, but so far, I've been (VERY!) patient and I'm ok to play the game... Until I'm done, then I'll be pushy and send them an email

Hi there! @_gelato_ congratulations on the new beauty! Could you please share what you wore to the appointment?
While visiting the H store in Bordeaux last Thursday, I was very casual. A tee-shirt dress, a Swatch, 2 small H bracelets, a pair of Dior sneakers... and a Polène bag!:amuse: Which is probably my "cheapest" bag! The SA offered me 1 QB and several non QB bags, we were chatting, she said "Is your dress from Uniqlo?" And I said yes!:P So, even if it wasn't in Paris this time, what you wear doesn't matter!!

As someone not lucky enough to live in France , I'm very, very, very grateful to locals like you who show extra patience and don't go in and sweep up bags every week just because you can, leaving inventory (QBs and NQBs) for us travelers so we can get an extra special memory to remember our trips to your beautiful country by.

Thrilled to share my experience from a few weeks ago, after reading this thread for weeks figuring out how to navigate the Paris appointment system!

I applied for my first appointment the day before arriving in Paris and was rejected (no surprise). On the day of arrival (a Thursday), went over the FSH in the late afternoon and purchased a few scarves and two pairs of shoes that were not available in my home store. The appointment desk at FSH was crazy (6-8 person line) so did not even try to ask about cancellations.

The next day, headed over to Sevres because I wanted to check out the Petit H items (so gorgeous!). The store was not very busy for a Friday afternoon. I browsed a bit but there were not many items on display that I hadn't seen at home. The leather desk was pretty quiet though. I waited until there were no other customers at the desk and approached, and very quietly asked about possible cancellations. To my shock and surprise, the woman did not immediately say no! She asked what I was looking for, and I said "I am hoping for a Birkin or a Kelly, I only have one Birkin and I am flexible on size but picky on colors." She looked at some printed papers she had and said she would see what she could do, and asked me (and my husband who was with me) to sit at one of the tables in the leather corner of the store.

We waited for a few minutes, then she came over and asked for my info, which she typed into her iPad (presumable to see my purchase history?? My only purchase history in Paris was the items I had purchased the day prior, and maybe an enamel bracelet or two from years ago). After a few more minutes, a very nice young male SA came over, offered us a beverage, and asked what I was interested in! I told him I wanted a B or K, ideally 30 or smaller but not super picky, and that I really wanted a bright color -- ideally a blue/green but open to all bright colors. I could not believe my luck at scoring a walk-in leather appointment, but did not hold my breath since he said stock was very low!

We waited like what seemed like FOREVER but then he came back and asked us to follow him! We went into a dressing room and there was a huge box there. He repeated that they had very limited stock but he hoped I would like what he had... he said they had no small bags, and I said "that's ok, I love by B30!" and he sort of grimaced and said "it's a 35"... but then took out the most gorgeous SO B35 multico in rose texas / bleu zanzibar with BGHW! I immediately fell in love and said YES!!

I do not think it matters so much what you wear, but for those curious, I just had on black jeans / gray sweater / black Chanel flats and was carrying my black CTG.

So grateful for my amazing Paris experience and my second-ever quota bag, and wishing everyone else lots of luck!!!
It seems that you were in the right place at the right time since it's an SO!! Probably someone who didn't want it after all... Congratulations!!!

I always feel like more tourists are lucky with the appointment system (from what I can read here and hear there, it seems to me that a lot of American women score an appointment after just a few tries and get QB haha), maybe the lottery "knows" that they will be in town just for a few days/weeks and wants to please them so they can have the whole experience and build great memories:smile:

Please share with us should you choose to send the email.

I have attended via webcast the announcement of financial results and in both occasions, the CE emphasised that he prefers local business.

I am a tourist to France and willing to play the game. Bought stuff but no appointment. You are a local, you bought stuff and no appointment as well?! How can that be? Something doesn’t gel.

Hello Everyone!

First time posting here!

Has anyone had any luck on QBs @ the Bordeaux store? Heading there in October and then Paris.
Also would be interesting to know if spending in Bordeaux may help as "prespend" in appt in Paris? Never visited either store so just curious!
Love reading all of your stories....feel like only here people understand more here my social circle!

They do love the loyal local clients... But the appointment system doesn't care apparently

I recommend this topic here for the other stores in France. But it is possible to be offered a QB in Bordeaux, just like anywhere else, depending on their stock. I don't think pre-spending there would help as even newbies can get a QB in Paris.
