I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

If you actually want a HAC, ask for it. Most of the people ask for the same small bags (K mini/25, B25/30, Mini Lindy/Evelyn... Mini everything!) so they will probably be happy if someone asks for something "different" like a HAC!

My last appt at FSH (June 2022) I asked for a plume large (probably not a super common request)which they did not have but the SA actually emailed me next day to offer a Victoria 35 which I ultimately accepted. You don't want to be so vague that they have to interpret what you might accept. Have fun. Oh I love the Victoria 35 but I am still searching for a large(r) plume:smile:

I am currently on vacation in Paris and of course trying for an appointment through the lottery system! (My fingers are crossed SUPER tightly because, I mean this would just truly be the icing on top of an absolutely wonderful experience here).

So anyway, so far I've been unsuccessful. I've applied twice and 2 rejections have come via email early in the morning of the requested appointment date. NOT between 8:00 - 8:30 PM the prior evening as the rendezvous link states. In addition; as I've attempted these appointments I've not received ANYTHING via text, no "activation" code has come as the link also states.

I'm a bit worried that somethings going wrong and curious if anyone else who's been trying lately has run into this issue?

Anything is helpful, and while I'm disappointed I am totally not going to give up, this is a lot of fun either way :).

(Just a note if it is in fact a variable worth mentioning... the first request was prior to any purchase history in France, the second request came after grabbing a few items at FSH.. shoes & silks.)

What you are experiencing is normal. At one time there was a link but now they use the verification pictures and sometimes the “ rejection email” comes much later than the stated 8:30 time line. Good luck. Enjoy Paris and keep trying.

It was the same for me, too....

My acceptance email came through about 8pm (UK time), but all the rejection emails came through much later (1 / 2am UK time). I've read elsewhere in this thread that the acceptances come through early / around the specified time, but rejections much later.

Also, no texts... even on the day of the confirmed appointment, I didn't receive the texts that some people seem to receive. And my appointment still went ahead just fine.

Good luck!

Hello! I am looking to visit the Hermes store in Paris in September, does anyone know if it's likely Constance 18 will be in high demand? Trying to keep my hopes up in securing a bag but I know the appointment system is savage..

Talking to my SA on Friday at FSH, he was saying stocks of Constance are as limited as Kellys and Birkins at the moment... Not sure when in September you are going, but I know the artisans take time off during August (the whole month?) and I'm not sure how much stock they hold back to cover that time off.

Not sure if my pre-spend helped - given he went a second time to the stock room for me to look for Constance (there were none), I think my SA would've found me a K, B or C, if there'd been any available for (non-regular) FSH clients on Friday, but there just weren't any.

He definitely scrolled my pre-spend, then said straight after he was sure he could get me a Kelly. Then it turned out there weren't any for me (I'm sure there would have been some held for regular FSH clients). So, if you do get the appointment, pre-spending will probably help, but I've heard others get Ks, Bs and Cs with no pre-spend.

To be honest, it is mostly down to luck, I think....

I tried everyday for a month to get an appointment, and finally got one, so there is HOPE! Others on here got an appointment on their second try! I feel like it's a pretty fair system, it's just so many are trying for appointments.

If you don't get an appointment, you can always ask the leather appointments host(ess) for cancellations. If you are spending in FSH, there's also no harm in asking the SA serving you - on Friday, in jewellery, for example, one of the SAs proactively asked a couple [they were spending quite a lot] if they would like her to try and get a leather appointment for them.

Anything is possible if you obtain an elusive leather appt. I would not assume you can obtain a cancellation. The members who have done so are rare exceptions rather than the norm.

Allow me to chime in. I don't believe for a split second that FSH had no stock of Constance or quota bags.
Moreover, SAs are able to have a look at the inventory on their phones, they don't need to go to the stock room to check what is available.
What I think happened is that he had to ask permission from the manager to sell you the bag you were looking for.
Stock being scarce, they are being stricter to whom they sell. If your not a local and/or don't have a big spending, I truly believe they need manager's approval.

I think it’s known that all quota bags need SM approval, even in Paris. Furthermore, yes they can see stock overview on their phone but it will not account for bags currently being shown to other clients, bags accepted by other clients who are continuing their appointments for hours shopping in other departments, and likely won’t include stock purchased already that day nor stock that has just arrived in a delivery (though this one I cannot be certain about but for many retailers, stock updates happen once a day after close of business.) While I do believe there are always more than zero bags in the back room of FSH, I don’t believe there are infinite varieties back there so there is a very real chance that if someone asks for a “noir or gold B25” the answer could legitimately be “no stock”. That being said, I agree that the SAs often fib about what they have because they don’t want to/aren’t allowed to sell it to that customer.

Thank you SO much! This is really great to hear, I'm glad my experience is completely normal & I hadn't yet heard that acceptances tend to come earlier than denials so thank you for that bit as well!

It’s all speculation. But based on my experience I believe Constance is of low stock right now especially for the smaller version.

I was offered 2 b25 on 2 separate days ( 1 in end May and 1 in 2nd week of June) for a trip last month. Both appts I requested for a Constance 18 and there were none. I only ended with a Constance slim instead.

Everything about Hermes is speculation, unless you work for the brand.
My point is, it is a FACT that most of the times when a SA says "no stock" (in FSH), she/he are trying their best to be respectful when declining a costumers request. We can't expect to hear "I have stock, but I can't sell it to you". Imagine that :giggle:

Just because you were offered a B25 doesn't make you automatically eligible for a Constance, perhaps that is precisely the reason why you were not offered one...Or perhaps not. Again, speculation.

We can all agree on one thing: it is paramount to read between the lines when playing Hermès game. And perhaps this is one of the reasons why it is so appealing and captivating.

I agree.. when I asked my SA about the colors that I wanted she begin scrolling her phone, and tells me what color is available , and also agree that SA needs approval to the manager because she told me that I haven't have quota bag for 2 years and I deserved 1.
