Hello everyone. I used to have a SA at FSH whom I shopped regularly with for 3 years or so. He was the one who offered me an exotic qb without much pre-spend! (what a gem) However, he no longer works at Hermes. Will the store introduce another SA to me (my customer history with FSH store is about a decade long, but nothing crazy extravagant. a little bit of everything.. fj, rtw, slg and of course bags). I don't think I will try the online lottery system as I usually travel with my husband and child these days and will not be able to drop everything just to go to the allocated (but ever changing) appointment time.. that's if i even get an appointment  Just wondering what my options are...

You can try emailing or calling the leather department to explain your situation and history, but it’s likely they will advise you to go through the lottery system.

Agree. But sometimes there isn’t any even if it shows up as available bc other appts are being serviced at the same time. I’m also not sure pre spend matters if you get the appt. I had no pre spend and I got a K25

My SA at FSH said she couldn’t see my spend (in my local store in the US ) nor could she tell what is currently in the stockroom without checking (as another TPFer posted, a bag currently in stock could be shown to another appt, therefore not available. . . .another reason why SAs may wish to start your appt by asking what your QB request is). Re specific other items, like RTW. she said stock is not updated in real time. That is why she went several times to physically check to make sure.

I think they may already have criteria or pre approval as to what they can sell, and to whom. I don’t think it’s like a massive backstage orchestration. . . It would be chaos otherwise. JMO though

i do think they have bags. When you hear that there is no inventory. It could either mean none of your specific ask or simply no inventory for you at this time.

@bloomlush, it’s my understanding since CTG is not classified as a bag, if they have one, you may be able to purchase without a leather appt. (ETA: as per @periogirl28 above)
I've contacted Hermes online and they confirmed a CTG won't need an appointment since it's considered an SLG not a bag!

I don't think anyone will be able to help you except for a sympathetic SA at the store who might give you a 1-time appointment. The same thing happened to me for a similar ~5 year SA and the store wasn't willing to introduce me to another SA directly and urged me to go through the lottery.

Just emailed one of the 5 stars hotels to request for a concierge service for Hermes appointment, and was being told that Hermes no longer accept appointments made from hotels since April this year. Has anyone experienced the same?
I have had the same response from Crillion, Plaza Athenee and the Ritz this week (all of whom have made appts for me in the past).

Yes I stayed at the Crillon and was told the same thing. Applied every day for nearly two weeks with 0 results.

I don’t think so. Interestingly many years ago, my experience was that you had to be seen to at least attempt to speak in French to get anywhere - asking if anyone spoke English was frowned upon.
On more recent visits, I spoke (broken) French and was replied to in English. The large influx of tourists for whom spoken French would not be a possibility has led to a much greater acceptance of English. Not sure what others have noted!

Am v sure some designated Q bags may be sold each day without bugging the Store Director each time, otherwise they would never look so relaxed. Some clients are certainly pre-approved and some senior SAs are allowed to offer exotics, K/B/C etc. Once on the way up to the Jardin, squished together in that tiny lift, my SA was giving approval for his colleague to offer someone a black shiny croc KP. I mean it was impossible not to listen and I understand Hermes French very well.

Does everyone think if qb is actually limited around this time of the year? Or are they saving it for the high spenders?

I was (low key) creeping on other peoples leather appointments a few days ago on a Tuesday… and the bags brought out were all not gb, humongous, or some crazy bright colors. The SA kept bringing out bags after bag, and they just got progressively worse lol. Then of course I inquired in all stores after spending, but were told the usual no stock.

No, the fact of it is you can hardly see the qb bag offers.. most of the time it’s hidden at some quiet corner where nobody walks past or even in the rooms.

Seeing non qb offers out in the open is very normal.
