No, It was arranged for me 1 month ahead.
but you could also try via the leather bag request when you have the appt, provided it’s a nice sa who really bothers to search.
i asked for the Constance slim after my bag offer when my sa asked if there was anything else I wanted to get

This is great info. Did you set up your pre arranged appt at sevres or fsh?

How did you arrange for an appointment a month before?
Thank you!

Hello! I tried searching but couldn’t find an answer. I would love to try to score a quota at FSH but I would be traveling with my young children (9 and 3). Would they be able to accommodate us? Might it be better for me to go alone and have my DH keep the kids at the hotel? I would love for him to be with me but the thought of having them potentially waiting for hours in a store scares me. Of course this is assuming I’m even picked for an appointment

I would not bring my child, simply because things are very busy at the moment. Taking into account other members input and from my personal experience, you will probably wait for a while, up to 2 hours.

Bringing the kids to hang around for hours is a bad idea. But bringing them to shop for a while and move on to next destination would be an good idea. After all it’s odd to bring them to PAris and have them stay in the hotel. Our kids 3 and 5 followed us to the store. It was unintentional but it worked to our advantage when they granted a walk in appt. There are quiet parts of the store at fsh or sevres ( cafe especially) where you could let them settle down there.
For your 3 year old, I would think the tough part is to wait patiently. He or she might be curious and want to walk around the store to explore.

If the situation allows, the sa can bring u to a private room and you can shop while at times you can show your DH items for his opinion.

Hope this helps!

Hi all,

Would really appreciate if you can share if you need to show your hermes boxes at tax refund? Or is it OK to show only the goods without the boxes?

I'm thinking the tax refund counters would be after immigration and I am thinking how I could go about packing my luggage.

Appreciate all your thoughts.

The kiosk for VAT is inside the airport after the entrance revolving doors. For terminal E it’s near door 3. Look up CDG airport map for reference.

There is a machine to scan your VAT claim forms from your purchases. If the scan is approved, the VAT claim will be processed and you’re good to go. If the machine scan of your VAT claim form is rejected, you have to queue for the Detaxe window (located meters from the machine) and the officer behind the window will review the VAT claim forms, ask to see goods (show them), stamp approval, and you will have to drop off the VAT claim forms in their respective mailing envelopes into the VAT mailbox next to the Detaxe window. Once finished proceed to check in your luggage.

My advise is to plan an hour for this process as the lines may be long. Also pack the VAT claiming goods in your carry on luggage for easy access, like right after unzipping the carry on luggage. Best if person who packed items in carry on luggage also handles the VAT forms to avoid confusion and panic. No need to show boxes. If you scored well in Paris, some people in the queue will the giving you the thumbs up lol.

Safe travels

I haven’t been asked to show any boxes at the detax counter, just the items.

The Pablo machines (only 2) are near row 4 at terminal 2A. It’s a much smaller area as compared to the one at terminal 2E and there’s only 1 custom officer on duty. I was asked to take bags out totally for them to see in particular the B25s. They didn’t even bother with the other brands or other items in the same form.

Very helpful thank you! Sometimes when I shop in Vegas my husband takes the kiddos to the pool or hotel cafe but this is usually because the bellagio Hermes is quiet and small. I like the idea of a cafe in Sèvres!
