I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

The fsh sa mentioned they just got it in and they think some stores will get a few. It is the first light colour hermes scarf i have ever bought and this one really suited me due to the bright colours in the design. I also found it interesting that there are bees embroidered on it that reminded me of gucci garden items.
Is it new collection dear?

Someone previously wanted to see the Japanese style scarf I got last week at fsh. Here it is attached. I also included cute shoes and my real win- calvi duo. I really enjoyed my paris trip and even saw a beautiful second hand box purse though it wasn’t right for me.

Damn! I wish I saw that! So gorgeous! Ended up with the Duo Cosmique in Rose Pale, which I adore. I’m not a scarf person but it just sang to me. The only question is whether I keep it or give it to my mother in law for her birthday. I did get her the Sous l'Egide de Mars wash scarf 90 in Blanc Cassis which is lovely too. Scored some blush suede Colette moccasins too which are to die for.

Higher than your chances if you don’t walk in and ask for an appointment. Let them know from the beginning that you’re looking for a Picotin and not a birkin/kelly/Constance and they might be willing to help you if you caught them in a good mood. Good luck!

To be honest? Slim. I tried at both FSH and Sevres this week. Both times I was told that inventory is so limited they are rejecting everyone. But if you don’t take the chance, you never know.

Hi! I just wanted to share that I’ve been in Paris since last week Friday and been trying to get an appointment with no luck. I’ve tried with two passports and also asked my friend to try and we have had no success so far. I’ve tried walking into all three locations too, no luck there either. Today I Went to Hermes Lille which is a little outside Paris and they basically told me they have nothing to offer… Hoping to get an appointment at any store before I leave on Monday

Hi everyone,
I just scored a Birkin 30 togo black leather at one of the Paris boutiques!
But I don't think I am 100% happy because after I came back to hotel, tried it in front of the mirror, then it looked huge on me...
Can I exchange it in any of the Paris boutiques? If so, should I make another leather reservation? (ahh it was so hard) Anyone has an experience?
I am staying 3 more weeks so got times.
Or should I try at NY boutiques when I go back?

Thank you!

You should read the back of your receipt. Download the Google Translate app on your phone and take a picture - it will translate it for you enough for you to understand.

Some key parts are:
1. The product must be new and unused (like all other returns at any store).
2. You should be entitled to reimbursement within 30 days. (I'm a bit confused about this point - I know that French consumer law entitles you to a return within 7 days where no reason is necessary.) You must have your receipt.
3. If purchased in France, you can exchange it in other boutiques, except the following countries: Argentina, Brazil, China, India, Lebanon, Russia, South Korea and Taiwan.
4. No store credit can be used to purchase a Kelly or Birkin bag. This is the only specific stipulation I see referring to Kelly's and Birkin's on the receipt.

That being said:
- They likely won't let you exchange it for another B/K unless there was a defect with the bag. I thought I saw an earlier post in this thread where someone was able to do this because there was a real defect (I can't find it with a quick cursory search.)
- If you want to return it, chances are that an SA might give you a hard time. You may be able to escalate to customer service or a manager. They may let you return it for store credit. But that's a lot of store credit that you can't use towards a B/K.
- The receipt technically says that you should be able to exchange or other products in NY, but again, I'm not sure how willing they are to help you with a purchase outside of the US and personally, it seems unlikely they'll let you exchange for a B/K.

I'd recommend dealing with it in France if you're there for longer anyway and you definitely want to return it. You're unlikely to get another leather reservation in 3 weeks. Reach out to the SA you worked with?

Another member has tried to interpret the receipt before, which seems similar to mine - but you should be able to exchange for a different bag, but perhaps not a B/K if they interpret it as store credit:
I wonder if the exchange policy has changed in FSH.
I was curious about them not allowing you to exchange Bolide for Birkin so I checked my receipts and read the terms and conditions for exchanges and returns.
I'm not fluent in French but I made my best and I understand it like this:
You are allowed to exchange items within the same category. If you buy a bag you are allowed to exchange for another bag in the 30 days time frame.
You are not allowed to exchange items with in different categories. For example ready to wear for a bag.
You also have 30 days to get a credit voucher and use it in any store in France. If your credit voucher is issued because you returned a bag you are allowed to buy a bag for the credit voucher.
If you returned ready to wear or home wear you cannot buy a bag with that credit voucher.
Money back is never allowed.
It simply says bags and not an specific model such as Birkin or Kelly.
If anyone else understands the conditions better please comment.

According to one SA at the airport on Tuesday morning, they had zero bags. She wasn’t very helpful honestly and it was a complete contrast with my experience here in The Fall when I found an abundance of availability (Evelyne, garden party, Kelly to go) in various colors and hardwares. Not 100% sure if she was completely forthcoming or if the airport is also truly low on stock. I found it’s a franchise boutique and fsh/Sèvres/V cannot check airport availability. Perhaps this is a well known fact but it was news to me.

My DH was in Paris last month and he is a virtual native French speaker and they generally are quite receptive to his bag requests and the SA at the M terminal told him they had zero bags (I wanted a GP 30). In fact they didn't have any of the other things I wanted either. She told him they had just recently re-opened the Hermes in that terminal and had not had their stock replenished. Perhaps they are still waiting......

@mzkitty , I found the post of @hphile above very informative. Her post did seem to warn that exchange might be possible for a defect, but not buyers remorse. While I don’t generally return anything (I take a lot of time before purchase and the decision is usually a three way vote among SA, DH, and me, I find that it’s always best to contact the original SA at the original store for any issues asap (i would not wait for another appt which may not materialize). part of the reason is that the original store may want another chance to sell the product Since it was part of their original allocation. (also, why would anyone want to lug something like this across borders and around) Given stock shortages, I also don’t know if it’s possible for your to exchange this for a smaller BKC, (you had mentioned the B30 was larger than you realized) if that was your intention. Pls keep us posted as to the outcome.

I had an interesting experience last week:

Long story short, I got an appointment, I did buy some small items and also ordered some things not available to be shipped to store (total spend ~3k), but they did not have any BKC that day. SA told me when I come back to pick up my ordered items he would check bags for me again then; ended up going back 3 days in a row and he helped me check every day but still no BKC. Is this normal? Should I have purchased more items every day when I went back to check?

I have ~10k prior spend across 3 paris stores including a B so not that much non-BKC spend.
