Hi everyone! I applied for an appointment in Paris but have not heard anything. I’m assuming I didn’t get an appointment but like with most things H it’s pretty frustration. Can anyone shed light on when you typically would hear from them? It states between 8-8:30pm but it’s well past that time frame now. Tia!

Hi ness2815, I have been getting rejections more close to 10.30PM and later

I posted few days back on my rejections in the online system but I was able to score an Evelyne through walk in today at Rue de Sèvres. Finally very happy even though it is not B/K/C.
I entered the Hermes @Rue de Sèvres around 5ish PM coming back from Bordeaux and was greeted by an SA who first asked me to wait by the leather appt desk. The SA at that desk came in and I explained to her that I'm rejected few times now and I would love to buy Evelyne. She asked me to wait for few mins and another lovely SA who got freed up asked me what colors/size I'm looking for. Even though they didnot have my choice of color, I picked up the jade Evelyne 29 and its beautiful
I have been trying in other stores in paris and bordeaux without much luck without appointment but today was the day !

Hey ladies,

Thought I would share my experience at FSH today! Prior to coming to Paris, I asked my hotel concierge to book Hermes appointment (which they have done in the past for me). Apparently as of two weeks ago, Hermes FSH will no longer honor the appointment requests for the main three luxury hotels (I checked with each hotel individually and was told the same thing).

I began applying for the lottery system two days before arriving in Paris, knowing that I would initially get rejections. On day one of arrival, I will walked into FSH, purchased a pair of clogs and asked for cancellations. Was told only appointments through online system. On this same day prior to store opening, I applied for appointment at exactly 1030. That evening, I received a text notifying me of an appointment for 615 the following evening. My appointment kept moving up throughout the day which I took as a bad sign. We arrived a little early around 3pm for my new 4:25 appointment time. We waited for about 30 minutes and I was seen early. My SA was absolutely lovely. We made small talk for a few minutes before I told her my wish list. K25 Sellier in black, craie, etoupe, or etain. Both GHW or PHW were fine. I told her I would take a Birkin 25 but really preferred a Kelly. She then asked if I would be willing take a different bag of no quota bags were available and I said no. She left to go look at inventory for about 20 minutes. The couple beside of us was taken to a private room to view something, so I hoped this meant FSH actually had stock. My SA returned with two boxes and took us to another room. She pulled out a gorgeous K25 Sellier in Etain with GHW and I immediately said yes. She also offered me a Roulis in Nata and said I could take both, but I politely declined the Roulis. I feel so lucky to have scored one of the bags on my wishlist that I’ve been waiting for at my local store for months.

This is the second time that I have gotten a lottery appointment (one in November when I left empty handed due to low stock). Both times I applied at 1030 and made a purchase in the store. I thought I had the system figured out and maybe the early application plus store purchase helped the chances. However, we did the exact same thing with my husband and he was denied six times. I do have a small purchase history of about 3K euros so maybe that is what helped my chances.

Great info & congrats! I was surprised to hear "Impossible" today when I asked my concierge to assist with an appt for when we arrive in 2 weeks, and now I know why! I am so nervous about this online system lottery chances, I will definitely try my luck but not dwell if I don't receive an appt! May attempt a walk in--but also don't want to be disappointed. We're there to celebrate my 40th bday so have plenty of other exciting things to do!

Asking for a bit of advice for my future trip.
I’ve scourged this thread for awhile, but I’ve only usually seen post regarding during or after fashion week.
Which is held twice in a year, Feb/March and Sept/Oct time frames?
I plan on going the week of my birthday so between Sept 11-17th. I don’t expect much in terms of bags, but it would be nice to go shopping for RTW, Wallets, and maybe something I don’t usually see in the boutiques at California. Do they usually have stock or are they usually only selling pieces they have prior to receiving the new stuff for fashion week?
Excuse me if I’ve misunderstood as I read that there usually was two fashion weeks somewhere on this inter-forum. :confused1:

I would stop by the store and buy a little something- I think it helps your chances for online lottery. And def mention that it’s your 40th birthday! I haven’t been lucky enough to score an appointment as a walk-in, however, I would recommend trying after the morning rush. At 1030, an entire line of people approach the lady at the desk, one after another, each asking for an appointment as if they will get a different answer than the person immediately before them. Walk around the store and wait until no one else is around the leather counter ;)

Thats a great attitude and based on my experience in Paris hermes there are other wonderful items you can buy- this past week i bought some shoes my home store doesn't have, Japanese scarf limited edition and today a calvi duo(to me that was almost as good as the lottery).

wow japanese limited edition? Can we take a look? Thanks!

I think the appointment desk hears the consideration for special occasions all day long (anniversaries, birthdays, etc) that it honestly makes no difference to them. My friend walked in on her actual 50th birthday and it was met with a dismissive shrug. I guess it doesn’t hurt to try, but set your expectations low.

Thank you! I will do that!

I have a very silly question...Ive never actually used my cell abroad. DO you all just buy a plan through your carrier? (I Have AT&T) or a SIM card from Orange something?
Funny that truly the only reason I need to use my phone is to make sure I don't miss a status update message should I be lucky enough to get an appt as I understand they frequently change the times and I don't want to rely on wifi.

If you need to keep your US number active it’s $10 a day to use the international plan. I don’t love it for the price on a longer trip and for the cell signal you seem to get paired to. I now just buy an Orange holiday sim - if you will be in other parts of Europe, it works in a bunch of countries and is 40 euros and comes with 10 GB of data and a bunch of calls and texts. It’s plenty for a two week trip. The sim only works if your phone is unlocked. I like Orange since it’s the biggest carrier in France. Plus if you use that sim at least once every six months (topping up the data and calls/texts), you can keep the number active. (I go back to paris every year and used to live in paris where I had orange and freemobile cell services.)

With AT&T, the International Day Pass is $10/day per monthly cycle. So depending on how long you’re staying, the price may not be so bad if you need/want to keep your US number.

Interesting! So the orange SIM card comes with a French number?
