Hi,
I just flew back from Paris today. I was only there for a week and I did not have a ton of time but I got quite a few things that were not available in my home store including mosaic sushi plates, deep sneakers, scarves, a coin purse in rose sakura which I bought because I tried for the last 2 years to get something in this colour from my home store. I also got some beautiful leather perfume atomizers that are limited edition and not available in North America. I purchased quite a few things but inventory is scarce and changes by the day. SA’s repeatedly stated that stock was low and the situation would remain that way for months. I went to FSH twice to get the Fouborg Tropical scarf in the colorway I wanted. I was shocked to discover they only had 3 140X140 scares in the entire store! They literally sell out of scarves in a day- inventory is that scarce!

I would agree that if you are going to Paris just for a bag you are likely to be disappointed!Paying for a plane ticket, hotels, meals, taxis and transport adds up and can gat you a long way to your Quota bag in your home store!

I found out that my SA moved on and I was not able to get a new SA. A friend tied to get me an appointment with her SA and was told that she could not get her a leather appointment anymore let alone a friend. I was able to secure an appointment through my hotel but did not get a quota bag. I wanted a mini Kelly or Kelly 25/28 sellier no preference for hardware in a seasonal Color or a neutral. Second choice would be a Birikin. No luck but I was offered a mini-lindy in rose Sakura which I accepted. FYI I saw a lot of Lindy's being offered so I expect that this bag will be available in stores soon.

I also got a Evelyn’s tpm in gold at a different store, just happened to get lucky as The weather was horrible on Friday and the stores were almost empty so they allowed me to get the Evelyn but we’re very firm that walk-ins cannot get a B/K/C. Evelyns were plentiful and again I would ask you SA if you were interested as bags tend to come out in batches from Paris. SA also said Constance’s were going to be next to impossible to get this year as production will be very limited for C’s. Eventually I think all leather appointments in France are going to be via the appointment system.... sad as those of us who do not live in Europe will have very limited chance to get a bag.

I have attached photos and wish everyone the best of luck! The struggle is real!

Hello, Thank you for sharing your experience.
I just wanted to add to your statement of 'for those of us who do not live in Europe', I live in Paris (moved here from Canada last year and have not gotten 1 single appointment)....
That is about 6 months of trying each day (both phones, mine and my husband)....so, it is not as easy for 'locals' either hee hee.
Oh, by the way, for those who purchase other items in hopes to get an appointment online, that is not really really affecting the online registration either......as I spent about 19k euros in the past 6 months (yes...got 1 more small leather good today haha)...and still no appointment.

So, spending does not affect online registration. It is all based on luck. So, only buy what you like.
My husband said it is due to my work going well that all my luck is going to my job instead of an appointment LOL (He would say anything to shut me up from complaining about the online registration drama haha).

So, I do miss the days when I can go to my local store in Canada a few times a month, buy some goodies and get quota bags as well. No bags at all from Paris after 6 months of living here. And in Canada, I would have got at least 1 to 2 quota bags within 6 months. oh, the good old days.

Have a nice day, everyone :-) wherever in the world you are.

Hello everyone :-)
A little updates.
I wanted to show my gratitude to all of you who wished me luck to get an appointment and the great suggestions on asking for a walk in appointment.

so, here is what I learnt today:
1. Remember Dec 18th registration for appointment? There was a glitch and everyone who registered on Dec 18th all got appointments on Dec 19th (and then 1 hour after the appointment email, there was a 'cancellation email')...and when we went to the store on Dec 19th to ask if the appointment was in fact cancelled...and the appointment lady just say 'yes, everyone was cancelled'...and gave us all a tiny package of chocolate (more like 1 piece of chocolate made into 3 pcs) to make up for 'inconvenience'...

2. So.....I found out that DID count as an appointment in their system...ARGGGG, even though we did not really get one......so, that was why for past 6 months, I did not get an appointment...as the system thought we got one on that day in Dec....

3. The appointment lady did recall that incident but was not sure if that was affecting me as she was not sure of the month/date...so, I showed her the cellphone emails. And most of all my husband spoke French and I think that really helped....

4. We had to wait for quite a long time as she was doing us a favor to add 1 in....while all appointments were booked, no wonder they don't give out walk in appointment.

5. We were offered some refreshments and since my husband had another meeting shortly, he had to leave. but he was there as he speaks FRENCH and he was able to ask the above questions as I asked someone in the past and they don't understand what I was saying (the Glitch of online registration on Dec 18th).

6. For those who had walk in appointments. The lady told my husband in french that it is considered a 'walk in appointment' and it will show up in their system,,,,,so, if the stock is low today, I will not be able to ask for another walk in for a long long time (and usually they don't even give it out).............but we risked it..

7. So, I asked for very specific B/K but none was in stock....it was not the FSH store.

8. I was offered 2 beautiful bags...however, they don't sing to me, so, i had to turn them down.

I do feel bad as those 2 bags are gorgeous and can easily be someone's dream bag but they are just not my taste,,,,I even compared it to the Constance bag which I am wearing today and even my old bag gave me more joy than those.....arrrrrr I wish I am not that picky...

*********So, even though I did not score any bag (I ended up finding a tie for my husband and a wallet for my niece's upcoming birthday). But the knowledge I gain is great to share. So, remember, if you get a 'walk in appointment', they will have it in the system and you might have to wait a long long time for another walk in appointment. And she said, they don't give out appointments unless there is a rare reason.

Have a great day, everyone
p.s. I am happier today as I finally found out why I have no appointment for 6 months, I thought they hate me LOL

Thank you so much for sharing this very helpful info! It is awful about the Dec fiasco counting as an appt. I am glad that they gave you an explanation and youreceived beautiful bag offers, even if sadly they weren’t your taste! happy birthday to your niece. I hope that you can find the bag that is right for you soon!

Hey ladies,

Thought I would share my experience at FSH today! Prior to coming to Paris, I asked my hotel concierge to book Hermes appointment (which they have done in the past for me). Apparently as of two weeks ago, Hermes FSH will no longer honor the appointment requests for the main three luxury hotels (I checked with each hotel individually and was told the same thing).

I began applying for the lottery system two days before arriving in Paris, knowing that I would initially get rejections. On day one of arrival, I will walked into FSH, purchased a pair of clogs and asked for cancellations. Was told only appointments through online system. On this same day prior to store opening, I applied for appointment at exactly 1030. That evening, I received a text notifying me of an appointment for 615 the following evening. My appointment kept moving up throughout the day which I took as a bad sign. We arrived a little early around 3pm for my new 4:25 appointment time. We waited for about 30 minutes and I was seen early. My SA was absolutely lovely. We made small talk for a few minutes before I told her my wish list. K25 Sellier in black, craie, etoupe, or etain. Both GHW or PHW were fine. I told her I would take a Birkin 25 but really preferred a Kelly. She then asked if I would be willing take a different bag of no quota bags were available and I said no. She left to go look at inventory for about 20 minutes. The couple beside of us was taken to a private room to view something, so I hoped this meant FSH actually had stock. My SA returned with two boxes and took us to another room. She pulled out a gorgeous K25 Sellier in Etain with GHW and I immediately said yes. She also offered me a Roulis in Nata and said I could take both, but I politely declined the Roulis. I feel so lucky to have scored one of the bags on my wishlist that I’ve been waiting for at my local store for months.

This is the second time that I have gotten a lottery appointment (one in November when I left empty handed due to low stock). Both times I applied at 1030 and made a purchase in the store. I thought I had the system figured out and maybe the early application plus store purchase helped the chances. However, we did the exact same thing with my husband and he was denied six times. I do have a small purchase history of about 3K euros so maybe that is what helped my chances.

Hi everyone! I apologize if you’ve read this before but my post got completely deleted after the purseforum crash earlier this week. Thought I would post again and send positive vibes to everyone since it seems some of us are getting lucky right now and stock at FSH seems good (at least when I went this week).

I got an appointment my second day of trying, I’m in Paris not for vacation this time but thought I would try for an appointment anyways since I’m in town. I was pleasantly surprised to get an appointment so fast. However, I do want to add I have some history of buying at FSH (small amounts of fine jewelry).

I got notified at 8:20 the night before for a 12pm appointment. I showed up early around 11am to check in and browse around. At 12 I went back to leather desk and they said five people were ahead of me and I should go have lunch. After having a lovely lunch on my own, they called me at 1:10pm to come back.

I met the SA and we immediately hit it off. She was the sweetest person! She asked me if I have any current bags and I said yes, I’ve been a long time fan of Hermes and have been collecting for 15 years. She asked me for a list of all the B and Ks and I gave her an abbreviated list of my collection. After small talk for about ten minutes, she asked what I was looking for. I said ideally a 25cm K in a red color, GHW, retourne. She then asked for backup items if she didn’t have that and I gave her a list including other Ks and Bs. She said stock was good and she seemed confident she would have something on my list.

After ten minutes, she asked me to join her in a private room and pulled out a beautiful Rouge Grenat Kelly in 28cm Sellier PHW. Unfortunately my heart didn’t sing even though it’s a beautiful bag so I asked her what other Kelly bags specifically in 25cm she had. She then proceeded to give me the whole list of 25cm bags!!! As she went down the list, she named Etoupe and I immediately said, yes can I see that? As soon as she brought it back and unboxed it, I was in love! I said I’ll take it but did mention offhand it’s too bad she didn’t have my exact specifics. To my surprise she said, if you want you can place a special order right now for your specific bag. I was in shock! I’ve been fortunate to place special orders in the past but it was after years of history with my local SA and lots of purchases. She said the only caveat is she couldn’t offer an ostrich or croc SO and I would have to fly back in 12-18 months to collect it. I mentioned that I was surprised in Paris you don’t need a long purchase history for special orders and she said absolutely not needed. Anyways I passed and decided to just go with the Etoupe.

All in all a fantastic experience and long shopping day! I spent four hours there shopping between different departments and it was wonderful. Just wanted to share with everyone to not lose hope and that stock seems good at least this week when I was there.

Hello ladies!
And congratulations!

By reading some stories, I feel like being a French in Paris gives me less chances to get an appointment!
I sometimes think that people at Hermès want to be nice with foreigners knowing that they're only here for a short time and they spent a lot on their trip so they want to please them! Lol
I tried 15 times since January and still no luck. I did get a non quota bag without appointment in February because I have a nice SA. Last time I had an appointment was in September 2020, after 2 days of trying, and I got 2 non-quota bags...

Hi all, do you think the time of appointment you get matter? For example, you have more chance to score quota bag in the morning when the store just opened rather late late evening when the store is about to close? Thanks for sharing the insight!

No one can provide an answer on this - I recommend not speculating and just aiming for a good rapport with the SA. An appointment itself is lucky enough.

I guess it is because people mostly posted their stories when they scored a bag! To make you feel better I tried 70 times and still no luck!
