Dear all,

Newcomer on this forum! Do pardon me for my ignorance. Just wanted to check with you experienced folks, does one need a leather appointment in Paris to purchase a men's bag? Specifically, I am interested in the 'sac a depeches 29' messenger bag! Any inputs would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

BUMP! Anyone has any input/idea on this? Planning a trip to Paris in June to mark our wedding anniversary, and would love to surprise my partner with his first hermes bag! Greatly appreciate any info on this!!

I saw that you can buy this bag online. I would try to get an appointment online and still walk in.
I’ve read that SAs are more friendly with men. Tell them what you’re after and you might be offered the bag since it’s not a quota bag or a constance/lindy/bolide/halzan etc…

I believe you do. I have a non leather SA in FSH, but I was told that I need a leather appointment for men’s bag. I don’t think that bag was a high demand item at all.

I think FSH is getting stricter giving out leather appointment as walk in even after making some purchases and known the SA for a few years.

Try CDG airport if you have time. I was able to get it there even though I had no luck finding it in Paris stores.

Hi all,
I am planning a trip to Paris soon. I am going to try get a birkin. I know you need an appointment at the FSH store but do you need an appointment for the other stores. Thanks x

How do you go about establishing a long-term relationship with an SA in Paris? Do they have dedicated SA's for the different departments? Can a fine jewelry SA or a RTW SA eventually help you with bags?

You establish a long-term relationship the same way you would at any other boutique (assuming you make fairly regular trips to Paris), by visiting the boutique and making purchases with your SA. Re dedicated SAs for the different departments: It depends on the boutique. FSH has dedicated SAs in each department. Your leather SA wouldn’t help you with shoes or jewelry, for example (though they’d introduce you to a SA in those departments). Sevres SAs are trained in each department, and will help you with anything you may want to take a look at/purchase.
