I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

Hi Annie, I’m hoping to go to Paris and was wondering if you could help me with the contact of an SA. I’m looking for H mosaique, passifolia and h deco pieces and an old season Oran for my mother in law which seems to be available only in France. Thank you so much!
These are beautiful pieces very good taste! if they are available any SA in Sèvres will only be too happy to help. (a good relationship can develop from there) If they are not available, not much can be done as they would not be able to either order or keep them aside.

Hi all, apologies for posting twice, but I've been looking for the answer and can't find it - can you make an online appt for Sevres? I see tons of info here, YouTube, etc, about getting an appt at FSH, but I want a Lindy or 24/24 so I'm not that concerned about getting into FSH (assuming that's the main draw and I can buy without prior spend at another Paris store). Thank you!

Yes - same reservation request website, choose Sevres as the store at which you are requesting an appointment.

Thank you! Sorry to punish you for being nice enough to respond, but I assume it's easier to get an appt at Sevres, and I'd be better off trying for that if I don't want a B/K/C?

I can't speak as to whether it's easier to get an appointment at Sevres, but there is now an option on the appointment request website where rather than selecting one of the three Paris stores as the store you want a leather appointment at, you instead choose the option that says you're okay with any of the three stores. That may make it easier to at least get an appointment.

Oh that's great to know, thank you!

You will have more luck if you don't choose a specific boutique.
Also, last year when I didn't get an appointment and asked for any cancellations, they were willing to give me one on the spot when I mentioned I was not looking for K/B, but a different bag.

Oh that's great to know! Which store was that, if you don't mind? I suppose I may as well try to walk up to FSH if that's a possibility. Does anyone know if the time matters to try for an online appt (i.e., do I need to wake up at 4 am my time to log on ASAP from store opening?)

It doesn't matter at what time you apply, as long as it's during opening hours:smile::sleepy:
I asked at FSH, but keep in mind that many people ask for cancellations as well, so getting one on the spot is also all about luck:doh:

Thank you! My little type A, planner brain hates relying on luck, but who am I to argue with Hermes' very successful business model :) And I'm very pleased to know I do not have to wake at 4 am!

Why? Is it because people are asking for SA recommendations? It's totally ok to ask in my opinion. It's also fine for someone not to give it out. Why judge people for asking? They have every right to do so, as other have every right to not give it out.

I wasn’t going say anything because “IYKYK” but since you specifically asked “WHY?” I am happy to answer directly.

It’s cringy because people are being extremely PUSHY when it comes to asking for FHS SA’s information as soon as someone said they just scored a bag. Many of us on this forum talked about it. I think @kittynui and @KristinS explained it perfectly a few posts back if you would like to scroll a couple pages.

There are a lot of information on here. A quick search and anyone could find an answer they were looking for. We appreciate when people sharing tips and experiences. However, when the questions are super aggressive and short (ie: Who’s your SA? Post your purchase history !! Where?? What bag? Share your story !!! Etc….) from a complete stranger, no one would feel comfortable to open up.

I myself have asked for SA’s recommendations within the US because I have moved around from state to state. However, I think some people just assume they would score a bag at FHS from someone else’s SA who got lucky. That’s not how it works.

Is it okay to ask? Sure.
Is it okay to not give it out? Absolutely.
Is it cringy and uncomfortable? YES.

I 100% disagree. And yes, I read through all the questions and explanations in this thread and still disagree. I did not sense any pushiness at all, perhaps some eagerness and excitement that someone here may be a kind resource and pass on information. This reminds me of people in upper class circles not wanting to share their kids tutors for fear of helping the competition. There are people out there who like to spread the joy. And others who don't. Of course if you aren't comfortable and especially if your SA would not be comfortable, you can absolutely decline. But I have no qualms with anyone making a request.
