I’m just curious to gauge how common is it to have a SA in Paris give you an appointment and go past the system? How long did that relationship take?

For me- I was able to bond twice over about 10 years with 2 SAs and though I’m definitely not a big spender ( one under hubby and one under my name)- they are always welcoming and arrange some time. I will say Covid completely changed all that and now there is more hesitancy.

it’s strange-when I did ask for my friend if she can get an appointment too - I was told from both SAs they can’t do that.

I’m not sure. I’m definitely not a huge spender (spend between 1000/3000eur per month on all kinds of metiers), relationships are personals, it helped that I’m French and that I often travel to Paris. (unlike maybe others buyers that only come once in paris and may come back years later? So cannot keep a relationship an how will one SA remembers you?)
I have most of my purchases sent over to my home (closest H is at a 5 hour flight distance) so have to work with the distance sale SAs.
Being able to set up an appointment outside of the online system is a huge favor, other than this, no special treatment :
- No wishlist for quota bags are examined before the appointment (she cannot reserve/order a bag for you, unless it’s not a popular one)
- Bags have to be bought in person and at the store (even non quota bag)
- Limited to 2 quota bags per year. Expecting a SO to arrive this year, not sure if I’ll be able to have 3 bags this year.

It’s Paris and my FSH SA told me that‘s it’s really not about the pre-spend and they will always try to accommodate if they have the stock (Providing that you manage to score an appointment + You don’t have the reseller look :P)

but the bag is such a classic bag and the interior made me fell in :heart: I couldn’t say no + it’s a special order bag !

Hello,
I was finally able to get an appointment after 4 months of registration with myself and DH.
It was on Friday and I was told that there was no B/K/C at all. I was offered a few other desirable bags but not really my style, So, it seems like the stock is quite low....And with Fashion Week coming up. I believe we might have to wait til March for the stock to build up....

Appointments have to be made to buy any handbag and not everyone wants a quota bag.
Also I'm sure many people end up buying other H bags on their appointment upon hearing the big three aren't available.

I feel bad having being offered a bag on Saturday morning while they told you that nothing was available the day before. :sad:
The stock was indeed low and it’s really a bad timing. If you live in Paris don’t you want to try to build your profile with an SA in like Sevres or Georges V and try to get an appointment for a bag with them?

Unfortunately I have no idea who the SA was I last worked with in 2019. So I would be relying on the frightening online appointment system. I say frightening because it seems as if nobody gets an appointment their first few times of trying and I will only be in town for three days. Ideally I would get an appointment on my first or second try, go to my appointment, and score a bag I’m very happy with. But odds seem not in my favor??

If I were you, I would call FSH and have them look up your account and let you know who you’re SA was in 2019, and request his/her contact number/email address and/or directly request to set up an appointment with that person. If that fails, try the appointment system. If that fails, walk in and try to secure an appointment.

You can walk in and do that? Do you happen to know if the week of February 21st is a busy week given that fashion week in Paris begins the week after? Everyone will presumably still be in Milan when I’m there but maybe FSH will be setting aside bags in anticipation of the next week and not letting them go? Sorry I’m sure you likely can’t say for sure but I’m looking for ideas. I like your idea about calling the store to ask for the name of my SA. Great idea. Thank you.

What’s the point if you get an appt within a few attempts? Then either u immediately fly In or forfeit the appt. The latter will affect your subsequent attempts. If you haven’t gone to PAris fsh for a while. Buy some items.. should secure an appt within a week. That’s what happened for me.
