I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

Another small incident. After I picked a belt, I saw someone holding an Avalon throw, so I asked my SA about it. She came back with the dye throw from this season. I agreed with her that it is beautiful. She then said "Let's look at the price. 3,700." and commented "it is very expensive. I will go get the other one."

Thinking back, it almost sounded like she didn't think I could afford it. Would make sense I wasn't offered a bag and shouldn't even try the rest of the month...

I was wearing black jeans, and a vintage Hermes blazer! Any tips on what to wear next time if I ever get an appointment again?
@vivavee, regarding the SA's price comment, my regular SA comments on the price and relative value of items all the time, more so once I got to know her. She just has strong opinions on whether items are "worth" the price.

For those who are in Paris, I highly recommend checking out the petit h boutique that recently opened inside Sevres. Last few times I was there I didn’t see it so I assume it’s a new thing, and the SA told me it’s the only petit h boutique in the world so far. Lots of trinkets you can buy as souvenirs for loved ones:yes:

If I am not mistaken, Petit H items have always been available at Sevres. Petit H also pops up in some countries every now and then, there was once a Petit H pop up event in Seoul last December 2017 when I was there.

I wouldn't overthink the price thing. When we started working with our old SA, she kept commenting about how expensive the bags are, and to make sure it's a LOVE, not like, situation. We were 6 quota bags in with her, and she would still mention the price increases and whatnot and talk about how expensive the items were, even though we had purchased 5 before. Keep in mind that most of the SAs cannot afford the bags that they sell, so the comments could be coming of a place of their own opinion, not from trying to judge you.

No idea tbh. I just know that when I was at the Sevres store on Saturday my SA asked if I had an account. I replied that I had purchased a shawl five years ago but that was it. She looked me up and had all my contact info and said the accounts/records were international.
Not sure this is universal. They did not find my US profile when I was just in Paris. I’ve purchased in boutique and online. They had to start a profile for me at FSH.

I just want to chip in and mention that one of the H department managers has confirmed that all European stores (probably all stores worlwide) have access to worldwide stock and profiles. Some data is restricted to a manager's visibility only.

Whilst the H phones in France may not show international data, FSH has a row of computers in the basement where SAs can look up anyone. I strongly believe that SAs use these devices during leather appointments to better understand the customer they are working with.

Hi!

We don’t have Hermès where I live, but Paris is only a couple of hours away by plane.

I really want a B30 in Togo.
What are the chances of scoring one if I get an appointment?

I am considering applying for an appointment online and then fly down to Paris when I get one.

I’ve thought of doing this, but what time do they confirm your appointment? It would need to be in enough time to get a flight plus flight travel time and taking into account any time difference

Funny! So does my SA…she’ll tell me not to buy something if she thinks it’s overpriced though I’m quite sure she rolled her eyes at a few of my purchases early in our relationship!

I have an SA, who became a friend of mine, says things like this as well. She would say "don't buy that, so ugly" lol

Yes, and sometimes I have to buy something over her objection, ha ha! Although when she thinks something is well worth it, I really listen. I trust her.

I agree , they are not interested in "normal people business" right now, I would also advise coming in October/November.
I stopped by FSH today to check about walk in availability (after 10th attempt to get an appointment online), the leather host/hostess are very annoyed, rolling eyes at customers before me, turning away chatting and laughing while customer was still talking to them and to my question if there is a point to come back another day/time, he was "please, don't come back!" lol :giggle:

Imagine the number of time she had been asked the same question…
