Can’t believe how hard it is nowadays to get an appointment! I used 3 passports and applied 9 days in a row but haven’t got one. Anyone had to try about 15-20 times before getting one? If the SA had replied to my email, I wouldn’t have had to go through all this emailed her a few times, before and after her holiday. Received her OOO auto reply so thought she could check the email when she’s back but so far no response. I mean how hard is it to at least reply and tell me she can’t assist instead of ignoring all the emails

It’s really busy in store and technically they are not suppose to give private appointments? It’s really regulated now, or so I had heard. Try visiting in person so you could find out more! Sometime they are not doing it intentionally!

Yeah the traffic at all H Paris boutiques is crazy recently.. it’s been almost 2 weeks since my last appointment at Sevres and I have been getting rejections every day so you are definitely not alone

Oh dear sorry to hear that but also thanks for making me feel better. We are all on the same boat. Good luck

Yeah I reckon they would receive tons of the same emails daily asking for private appointments haha. I won’t be in Paris until I have an appointment. So will try for another week applying from home then if nothing happens I might gamble by going for a few days hoping to get one walk in appt

Hi, I am in currently in Paris with my husband and we have both gotten 4 rejections so far. We went to FSH our first full day here and it was swamped. I was looking for shoes that they didn't have. Then today, we got a break, someone at our hotel knew someone and my husband was able to get us an appointment for Friday! Later on in the day we stopped by Sevres and we waited for about 30 min for an SA to help us with something I wanted to buy my daughter. After a while we decided we would just buy what we wanted on Friday.

As far as how we dress, I am personally a very laid back person (so is my husband) we both dress that way as well. I have my typical pieces of jewelry I always wear (diamond studs, ring, and simple necklace). I was wearing my Evelyn, but beyond that, I am typically in shorts, shirt and a comfy sweater/cardigan. If I am supposed to have that Parisian smart put together look, I will never get a bag. Hopefully, having someone get me the appointment will be helpful....

Another small incident. After I picked a belt, I saw someone holding an Avalon throw, so I asked my SA about it. She came back with the dye throw from this season. I agreed with her that it is beautiful. She then said "Let's look at the price. 3,700." and commented "it is very expensive. I will go get the other one."

Thinking back, it almost sounded like she didn't think I could afford it. Would make sense I wasn't offered a bag and shouldn't even try the rest of the month...

I was wearing black jeans, and a vintage Hermes blazer! Any tips on what to wear next time if I ever get an appointment again?
Honestly, I don't think this means anything. She probably thinks the dye throw is overpriced. I hear SAs make comments like this all the time...I've even asked for certain things and been told "honestly, the price on that is not worth it" whereas for other things I hear "this is a gem even though it's so expensive".
I really don't think it was a personal judgment.

Hi there!

I am new to Hermes and have been reading through this thread but wanted to ask a few questions.
  1. I'm planning on visiting Paris for a few weeks, it should be more than enough time to secure a leather appointment, right?
  2. I want a pink Kelly 25 as my first choice, but would happy with several other colors or a Birkin. Is it better to have a list of products or to go in with one single item on your wishlist? How detailed should my list be? Is it better to have the exact color name and leather types?
  3. If they offer a bag but I'm not in love with it, will they offer other bags or is it usually just one?
Thank you!

Hi!

We don’t have Hermès where I live, but Paris is only a couple of hours away by plane.

I really want a B30 in Togo.
What are the chances of scoring one if I get an appointment?

I am considering applying for an appointment online and then fly down to Paris when I get one.

If you get an appointment for 10:30 and receive the confirmation at 22:15, are you able to get a plane that will bring you there on time?

I thought about this strategy living only 1.5h away by plane, but seeing that the emails can take until after 10PM it sounds like a very very stressful plan for an appointment where you could end up with nothing.

If you read around at least 20-30 pages back of this thread, you’ll get an idea already to answer all of your questions.

1. No one can tell. Some ladies here have been trying for a week and more but still being rejected. Some get lucky in a few tries.
2. When you say list of products? Do you mean list of other Hermes items or just bags? For other items, you wont need an appointment. For bags, you do. My advise is always to make it a point to give your SA an idea of what you want (yes be specific) but also imply than you are open to other options (but not too specific and too broad either)
3. They usually offer one time. Usually. But sometimes, they can even show you two or more at the same time. But if you reject the first, there is no guarantee they’ll offer you another one. Because stocks get grabbed by various SAs and the moment they bring back the item to the stock room, another SA will get it and offer to others.

Hi! Have you received any e-mail from them yet? I am also still waiting lol
Rejections are coming much later than it used to. Got the email at 22:58 Paris time when it used to be received around 19:30. This makes latest minute trips a bit difficult for nearby countries. Not sure if it’s intentional or there’s just too many requests for the system to process.
