I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

I was at the shop
Are the Hermes boutiques in Paris accepting any payments in cash these days (not surpassing France's cash limit per transaction)? I am not certain of any rules for cash payments in the Paris stores back when the pandemic was at its height but for a time the US stores were not accepting any cash payments regardless of the amount.

If so, is partial payment in cash and the remainder on a credit card allowed in Paris? I shopped in the Marseille boutique in 2019 and was told no cash payments at all. Thank you!

I was at the Hermes Faubourg today, and asked the same. It’s allowed to pay in cash up to 10,000€ only. And you can combine paying in card and cash too.

I’m a long time reader here and I got lots of pointers on how to score a B/K in Hermes FSH. I’m sharing my experience in FSH. I have no outstanding records from their corporate system since my H shop is in Nantes, which they are franchise boutique and they don’t share the same records.

July13: First attempt to get an appointment for Faubourg but to no avail for July 15 because July 14 is Bastille Day and they were closed.

July 15: In the afternoon since we were in the area, I passed by FSH to look around and bought a Kelly dog bracelet.
On the same day, I tried to register again for Faubourg for July 16 but to no avail.

July 16: Registered but with no boutique preference. At 8pm I received a confirmation for my appointment the next day in FSH.
July 17- My appointment was at 10:30am and I lined up at 10:15am with 1 person in-front of me. Then we were instructed to go upstairs and was introduced to my SA. After a few minutes of chatting (please note that I speak French quiet fine). Then she asked me what I was looking for. It was brief I said Constance Mini and Birkin 30 Étoupe, Noir, Gold in Epsom leather, for the hardware it doesn’t really matter. And she asked anything else you want, Kelly, perhaps and I said yes. After 10min. she came back with few boxes and ask me to come to the other side, and there she offered me the Birkin 30 Gold/Epsom in GHW but no Constance. She tried to sell as well some pouch and fourbi. We had another chat for few minutes about covid etc. And at the cashier while paying she showed me a croc kelly wallet to go which I refused.

I am so pleased how my appointment went well. Very nice SA and the boutique is so big and beautiful. It tends to get so busy like a super market specially in the afternoon.

Also, I was told that I can get the Constance even before 6months since it’s not a quota bag.
For me, I think what helps me get the appointment was when I bought the bracelet to have at least a recent purchase to their system because my husband tried at the same time but with no success.

I have been trying every day for 9 days now... still no appointment. I don’t have a history in Paris but have a strong one at home (though I know they can’t see that). It seems impossible to get an appointment though I can see that others have indeed managed it.
If you are around the city much better you passby the boutique and asked someone if they can give you an appointment. You will never know, I did the same before I got my appointment for today but they gave me an appointment for Monday.

Just heard in Hermes Warsaw that one of the clients passed by, was received w/o an appointment and got mini kelly in rose sakura. I kind of know her so don't think she bought anything like fine jewellery or anything. How strange. I mean good for her.
