I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

I was able to acquire a Kelly with my exact desired specs in early Jan 2020. But I do have a regular SA and was able to secure an appointment directly with them. Not sure if stock is supposed to be generally lower in January (vs. December).

How is the stock at the FSH around January, pre-COVID? And appointment-wise, is it pretty busy around January or a better time to visit?
I’ll be turning 30 in January and wanted to splurge to celebrate!

To be honest, it would not be a good idea to come to Paris now (or for a while) if you want to visit mainly for B/K hunting. I am in Paris now & tried to apply for appointment system. No activation code was sent to me. I tried 6 times with my US phone number.
I actually somehow managed to purchase a handbag because I have SA here. I wanted to reach him before leaving for Paris but I could not.He had not replied to my emails & nobody picked up when I called the boutique.
(That’s why I tried to secure my appointment)
The thing is that SAs have more day off since they could not take vacation during lockdowns. I guess my SA has no time to deal with emails when he comes back to the boutique?
I was told 4000 people apply for this appointment system daily…

Wow! 4000 people for 100 spots at each boutique?

I think the same thing!!! And back then when I would visit Paris, it was so much easier to walk into an Hermes store without the hassle of the online appointment system lol
@fashionpassion7 Your story was delightful. FSH is not new to me (2 visits in 2019 since I'd never been to Paris before). But I didn't get around to George V or Sevres. Back in the 80s some guy published a book called, "Bringing Home the Birkin." (pretty sure that's the title).
You should just add a few whimsical drawings to your text and maybe some photos and then you will have, "Bringing Home the Birkin a la Francaise. It had to take a long time to arrange your thoughts and type it all out but I found it well worth reading. I learned a lot from your post. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Sorry if this is the wrong thread, but I was wondering if people knew how to stock usually is for homeware (specifically looking at tableware) at CDG airport in terminal 2E. Will be flying through there in August. Thank you!!

I’m so… I’m going to Paris tomorrow and after reading the past few pages of everyone’s experience, I wanted to ask…

Can you buy both quota bags within the same trip?

And what’s the general consensus on stock?!

Ahhh beyond excited. So good to go back!

You won’t be able to buy both on your appointment.. Looking forward to read your experience. Good luck :)

that need to be confirmed but apparently they only see bags.. After I guess if they see that you get 1/2 bags a year at you local boutique you must have a good relationship. Gone plan an other trip next month to get a mini Kelly or Kelly I would ask.. I will ask in a smart way French is my mother language so will make it more easy.

About the concern about sms activation did try today still a fail with Belgium number. Gone try tmrw with my Mexican number. If it is also a fail I suspect that it is in a way A new way for Hermès to make peoples came to the boutique to be sure they are in France.. I did try to apply in France with my Belgium number and didn’t work. It is going on since beginning of the month if it was technical issue would have been fix.
It did work for me with my Dutch number… but i got a rejection.. so not sure that’s a new policy..

I am approaching a new subject about Paris shops, I haven't read about this yet.
I visited several times the 3 Paris shops and made purchases in FSH and George V just walking in.
But never rue de Sèvres.
I went there several times too, and every time their behaviour was cold and snobby, and I heard an SA being very condescending whoever he was talking to (including myself).
And for me, whatever I was asking for, they didn't have it, and didn't even tried to pretend checking the stocks.
This really turned me off them, and I'm struggling to not go there again even if they're a few minutes away on walk.
Did any of you feel the same?

Keep in mind Sèvres is the smallest Hermès boutique in Paris, the stock must be smaller then the two others.
Was there last month and had a great experience but I speak french.
Just my personnel opinion but Sèvres and George’s local tend to go there more.
It can be a hit and miss.. My last visit at FSH didn’t go well and at Sèvres was the opposite. If you are tourist and trying to get a bag you have the best luck at FSH. Xx
