I'm still amazed that this is the process. Why they don't email is so strange.
Right? Esp since they email you with the appointment time or the denial. It’s so much busier at Paris H boutiques than the boutiques we visited in Rome and Florence, but they said a lot of people who live in Europe have been going straight to Paris instead of shopping at their local boutiques.

A lovely user suggested I post the longer story of my offer here so here goes! I warn you it is a little long so grab a snack:

My mom and I were trying to get a leather appt for a couple days but the SMS code wouldn’t come to our phones! As mentioned, ppl with US numbers were having issues. We’re staying near the George V boutique so I would just walk there, scan the QR code and fill out the form online and they would give me the SMS code (they can see all the applications and respective codes). After like 3 days of trying neither of us got an appointment and then yesterday I was like okay let’s just try one more time since we’re leaving on Monday. The manager said there had been a cancellation and someone would help me right away!

The SA took us around the corner and asked what I was looking for. I said either a K28 in sellier + epsom and a bright color like Rose Shocking/mexico or a bright green OR a B30 retourne + togo in a neutral color - gold/rose gold hardware for both. She went to the back and came back with a box and that’s when I think I had a heart attack :nuts: We went upstairs to a room and she opened it up and I fell in LOVE. The SA, my mom and myself all thought the size and color were good, plus it matched the necklace I was wearing and my cat’s eyes lmao. So long story short I think it’s true that if you really do show you love the brand you’ll get something!! I also believe in manifestation and kept deciding not to buy some things on this trip (we were in Italy before Paris) because it would’ve prevented me from getting a B or a K even though I obviously had no clue I would be offered one. When we were leaving the manager said she knew I really wanted an appointment so she wanted to help lol - I know this is a long story but it’s such a weird offer experience that every detail counts :biggrin:

Yay! Nice story. I had a similar experience last July- I had 4 failed attempts for an appointment, but flew to Paris anyway and got a green Birkin at FSH after checking about cancellations (and always being polite about it). :heart: 4 hours after I got the B, I got my 5th appointment rejection from the automated system. :lol:

Curious: for those tPF members who have visited Paris this spring, how is it? I am spending a month in an apartment in St. Germain in September (rescheduled from last fall due to COVID) and am wondering what my experience will be compared to previous trips. I am, of course, planning to visit the mother ship where I hope to pick up a special memento of the trip :blush::blush::blush:
