I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

7 times declined then I went there to ask them if they could squeeze me in. They said impossible to make more appointment. Sad...
If this is any comfort for you.. I have been declined 14 days in a row (have been trying almost every day for 3 weeks).
I wonder if using a French national ID would give you an advantage.. However I am foreigner tho.. I am so attempted to trying with my husband's ID, who is French. But if i understand correctly, if his ID gets us the appointment, then he will have to come wiht me, right? He hates being in luxury boutiques, so that's a no no...

Yes he would have to come with you and also buy the bag with his cc if you use cc.

Gosh 14 days is a long time to try. Have you gone into the boutique and spoken to anyone about it? I have read on this thread that some tourists were able to get an appointment when they walked in and informed Hermes that they had been rejected X amount of times. Do you have any purchase history? It may help if you do, so when they look you up they can see that you have some history as well as being rejected 14 times. Good luck. Keep us posted on if you are able to get an appt. Are you in Paris for awhile?

Yes, from what I have read here, 14 rejections seem to be a lot (or extremely unlucky).. I wonder if that's due to the fact that I have a Chinese passport, given that many resellers are Chinese/Asian, and they tend to screen more if it's Chinese/Asian passports?

I only have purchase history from their website, so I am not sure if they will find me with my passport number in the system. They will need to enter my name and address to find me, and I am not sure if they will go to that length.

I live in Paris, so I guess I'll just have to keep trying until luck strikes one day :(
I also have a Birkin that I would like to send to the spa.. do I need to also book an appointment online?

Did you get your appointment recently? with the same name, same information ,same passport number if yes you will be blocked for approximately 20 days from the system. It doesn't matter if you have french ID or chinese passport because my 7 times rejection is under my husband name and friend ID lol.

Hermes would never assign appointments based on passport origins. I have faith in that. I believe the only variable the online appointment system weights is # of consecutive appointment attempts. I've read on here that walking into the boutique after 7-8 online appointment rejections and explaining your situation to the hostess may get you assigned an appointment that very day.
Nonetheless, if you live in Paris you should perhaps consider developing a relationship with a SA at one of the three stores. My friend who is a local did just that and got her bag in only a few weeks. Without a purchase history FSH is your best bet. Don't give up though... you'll eventually get an appointment and your dream bag as well!

I agree with @LKNN you have the benefit of living there and even a little purchase history with the same SA, developing a relationship will go a long way in getting the bag you want. Also, if I were you, I would walk in with the bag you want spa treatment for and then discuss being able to get an appointment given your recent rejections. Coming in with a bag, they will see you are a customer etc.

I have a French passport and I have also been rejected all the time (last one was last Friday). So I don't think it's a matter of passport. I think it's just a matter of "luck".
If you live in Paris, maybe it's better to build a relationship with an SA in one of the Parisian shops :).

Hi Askslam, I've been cooking the same strategy in my head as well (going in with the bag for spa then bring up the topic of appointment:). But i don't know if I also need an appointment for spa.. or i could just walk in?

Which boutique did your friend go to?
Do you know if Hermes boutiques in Paris have high turnover rate of staff?? Or which boutique has the smallest turnover rate?
I've been doing the SA relationship game with Chanel for years, but since one year, it's been a nightmare: my regular SA left the company, got assigned to another who then was transferred to another boutique,, assigned another who didn't work at just one particular boutique but bounced between the boutiques depending on the week, then assigned another one who was great but was only an intern.... So now i am back to zero.

If I start to invest in a relationship in one of Hermes boutiques in Paris, which one do you recommend?
Thanks

Sorry i am asking the same question here.
If I start to invest in a relationship in one of Hermes boutiques in Paris, which one do you recommend? More specifically which boutique has the smallest turnover rate of staff?

If I start to build a relationship with an SA, I would live to choose wisely which boutique to go if you see what i mean:)

If you have a long and by now significant purchase history at FSH you might want to contact your SA directly?
