Yesterday was something different...
I think I almost lost my mind ‍♀️
Hubby got an appointment yesterday and voila! I got offered with b30 rose extreme epsom ghw.. still over the moon.. I love the bold pink in it and ghw makes it more special. I took it for a spin yday and noticed that on every picture I have, it is the first thing noticed. Very overpowering during winter .. Now all I should do is take care of it during the rest of the trip.. here she is with me singing “im a barbie girl, in a barbie world in my mind”..

View attachment 4621394 Anyhow, got a question. H cashier told something about global blue app. How does it work? Is it helpful? Does it work for other refunds too? is it the same as the system in australia?
Congrats on your score. The global blue app works worlwide, it basically allows you to scan the barcode printed on your tax free form and it keeps track of your refund.

Have fun!! You can also try visiting Valois Vintage which is a vintage shop not too far from FSH. You can google map the address. They have a good selection of vintage Hermes items. They have a Instagram account @valoisvintageparis. I’ve purchased from them (non Hermès) and was very satisfied. Good luck!

Thank you all for the suggestions! Will definitely check out Valois and Collector Square.

We arrive Friday afternoon and leave Monday afternoon, so our best bet is trying to get an appt Sat. Might check in at FSH Friday afternoon to see if there are any cancellations although from what I've read, that may not be fruitful

We are planning to get other accessories like belts, scarves etc. I know we can walk in to FSH for those but can we walk in to George V for those as well or do we need to join the morning queue for appts regardless of what we intend to buy?

Yes you can walk in. You don’t need to queue for appointment for those. Only for bags! This is same at all the Paris stores.

What a cutie! Would love to know more about this style. If you don’t mind, Please post MOD shots and let us know what it holds. I haven’t seen this yet in person but love the look of it. Especially fun in lime.

Apologies if this is OT for this thread.
This little bag can hold what a Chanel WOC can hold. It has no problem holding my iPhone XS Max, my calvi card holder, my trifold key holder, my car key, lipstick, and a pack of napkin.

Hello! I was wondering which store (FSH, Sevres, or George) is the best to stop by for JUST a scarf (i.e. I've read the selection for bags differ between the stores, but was wondering if the same applies to the scarves).

As we say in the South, "A closed mouth don't get fed."
ABSOLUTELY!. Just came back from Paris and my advice to those who intend to buy bags JUST KEEP TRYING and asks different SA's on the leather department. Tried the online appointment for nearly a week, NOTHING. Here's what i found from George V and FSH:
1. Do i need appointment for bag purchases?
( Yes - if u approach the hostess at the front door or u meet nasty SA's. If you can't charm your way of getting assigned leather SA, just wonder around the dep and ask multiple SA's to try your luck. It worked for me)
2. Is it a strict rule 1 passport = 1 bag?
( NO, it depends on your SA. I bought 2 bags from the same SA, she didn't even check my passport to view my purchase history - which most of you know the "norm" thing they do)
3. Best time to hunt?
George V - when they open around 10.15AM. FSH ( try opening time and after 4 pm)
4. Can i purchase accessories/footwear then ask for bag?
DON'T waste time. Only leather SA's are allowed to sell bags. Head straight to leather department unless you really intend to purchase other things.

So, in a span of 2 days I managed to score 3 bags ( picotin, bolide and 2002). H hunting is really a hit and miss. Some SA are really sweet and pleasant while some are just plain NASTY, just don't get brushed off. Good luck to those in Paris.
