I'm so sorry to hear about your current situation. The main rooms are full of cameras--so I assume the back rooms are as well. Thus, I'm sure they'll be able to locate/ confirm your missing item and rectify the situation. Moreover, when you speak with H tomorrow I'd give them the exact time of purchase along with where your SA prepared your items (if you know that info) and specifically request for them to search the security footage to confirm the item was not packed.

Hi ladies,

I didn’t manage to score any BKC but I did get some other items that I’m very happy with! However I am sharing this because I don’t know who else to turn to.

*Long rant alert*

Yesterday I had some purchase items delivered to the hotel and I didn’t open up the white paper bag as I wanted to pack everything today (only 1 night left I figured). There were also other shopping bags that was sent to the room hence we figured that since we were going to do some shopping the next day(3rd Jan), we will just unpack everything before organising our luggage back home (which is tonight, 3rd Jan)

However, when I opened up the fully stapled white bag I realised there is only 4 orange boxes instead of 5 orange boxes. Check the receipt thinking that they missed out on the item but alas! The item is on the receipt! I checked the white paper bag, I checked the orange paper bag that is inside the white bag, but no matter what I do, there is only 4 orange boxes. I opened up all the boxes thinking maybe it’s hiding inside one of the box but nothing. One item is missing from the shopping bag.

Have sent them an urgent email and will be calling them tomorrow morning as the phone lines will only open 1 hour before my flight ! I’m so upset at myself for not checking the paper bag yesterday when it arrived but I just had so many other shopping bags and I was so certain that they wouldn’t mess up my items. The white paper bag was so nicely secured and fully stapled! Was commenting to the hubby that among all the shopping bags sent to the room only Hermes is the nicest and most secured! Unbelievable that this is happening.... I don’t know how else they can rectify this or how I can prove my innocence!

Very upset and disturbed that this is happening considering how the SA who was serving me was super sweet, despite not scoring any BKC I was still really happy with the whole shopping experience.

Can’t see how things can turnaround if they can’t find the missing item in their store. I will just have to tell myself that I’m losing that few hundred euros :sad:

I think you should ask your SA about your missing box, it happened to me last year I opted for hotel delivery and as my hotel is far from the store and don't want to go back to the hotel yet to bring the bag and it was a Kelly BTW and came to the hotel past 8pm and I was expecting my bag is inside my hotel room .. I asked the receptionist if I have delivery and everyone said nothing ...
I've waited until 11pm and no delivery showed up... I was panicking and can't sleep that night and a lot of things going in my mind...

First thing in the morning when they open.. I immediately went to the store and look for my SA and she was very apologetic coz the bag is still in the store .. so I just picked it up instead rather than wait for another delivery..

when I got to the hotel receptionist told me that my SA called to tell me what happened... and just told them I got it !!!

so for sure your SA knows where your missing box is..

Sometimes packing mistakes do happen. I once bought 2 shawls and didn't unpack them and then flew 13 hours to discover I was given 2 exact same cashmeres in the same design AND colourway. It was sorted out smoothly with my local store but only because of my relationship with them. Lesson learned to unpack and check before leaving Paris. I have also suggested carrying white/ orange bags directly back to the hotel if possible and not using the delivery service. It's better to be safe than sorry, as I see many orange bags left at the concierge and doorways of the hotels on FSH. I stay nearby so carting it myself is easy. I am sure your situation will be managed. Worse case, you can ask if they can ship the item to you. HTH and Good Luck!
 
Absolutely check your purchases as soon as you can while in Paris; I couldn't agree more!

I bought a Louis Vuitton bag a few years ago. They gave it to me wrapped up so pretty I decided to not open it until I return home....big mistake because they had sold me a 'returned item'. The strap was attached to the bag (the strap was sold rolled up in a separate smaller dust bag back then) I also had no dust bag for that strap now. That was my lesson, now I check everything and make sure I have plenty of time to deal with it before I leave.
 
I learned my lesson too! I found out after our trip that Hermes charged us for the wrong item! Luckily, my husband loves to document things, and so we had pictures of our purchases before they were packed in the orange boxes. I'm still working out the kinks to get our refund of the price difference... But lesson learned, always check your goods and the receipt before leaving!
 
To update all the TPFers, H fairies didn’t come to my way again during this trip at FSH. According to the SA that I was assigned, no BKC was available in the store due to after Xmas. They are probably holding up all the inventory for January. However, I did find something really cute, a lime color Clic-H 21 bag in PHW.

I was told by my leather goods SA at Sevres that Sevres will stay open for leather bags. Other products will be moved to the other 2 temporary stores but not sure which products. I’ll be visiting at the end of this month so I’ll update this post then.
