I've been following this forum for a while and did my research before heading to Paris. The insight everyone provides are pearls of wisdom for everyone to follow. This post is more of a venting post about my experience today at George V.

I lined up and there was about 15 people ahead of me. When they let us in and asked what we wanted I said handbags and scarves. I guess the hostess didn't hear me as she sent me to the scarves department when I had specifically said handbags first. I mention this to her and she said that I only said scarves and I would have to get in line behind 15 or so people that were all behind me when we were outside! I said no that is not correct and a lady, who turned out to be a manager said that I need to go to the end of the line. I explained to her and she had a mini conversation with the hostess and said to still go to the end of the line as they have already booked the first group of immediate service. I explained that I am not asking for immediate bag service and will gladly take my place in line but not at the end as I was in front of everybody else in that line. Another customer who I was chatting with talking about handbags while outside vouched for me, but they still insisted I get at the end of the line. This was totally unacceptable! I'm like you can check the cameras and even the person who was a total stranger that vouched for me earlier, but it was still get in the back of the line. Absolutely the worst customer service experience ever and even from the manager. Out of principle, I refused her offer of an guaranteed appointment and again explained to her the situation. I was extremely civil given the circumstances and I asked to talk with the manager alone. I again explained to her that this was now a matter of misunderstanding. I guess she kind've understood, but said the hostess speaks really good English and is hard to believe she didn't hear me say bags. I explained that this was not my first Hermes experience and have gone through lines before and have some Paris history and looked up my info. She then went on a spiel of she couldn't really put me in front, as that would set a bad example but again assured me a guaranteed appointment in the afternoon. I asked if the order in which I stood in line mattered and she said no. She then offered to half halfheartedly help me with what I was looking for on the spot, which I will assume was just a gesture and not real help. She said that since I purchased a different non-quota bag at a different store, she couldn't help me and would need a different passport, which was also in itself another insulting and dishonest reply for the fiasco that she didn't really acknowledge. Overall I will never be going back to George V, as it was the worst of first impressions. Should've followed the dozens of warnings in previous posts and numb the feeling of hope at this store from the few who were lucky. I can accept "no" or "try again", but not when I'm being treated poorly, seriously you could get better service at a McDonald's than here.

I don't want this to be all negative cause that's not me. I will keep trying for FSH, but am happy with the other bag I got at the other location along with some scarves and a twilly.

I'm sorry to hear about the bad experience at the Geroge V store. As far as I understand, the George V store has very limited/low inventory so when I stopped by that store last time, I didn't have much expectation anyway. I went in to the store, all the staff were serving other customers so I was pretty much ignored the whole time until I asked some random staff for assistance. I asked if they had any Evelyne TPM and I got a super cold answer "NO". Since I had no expectations anyways I just politely thanked her and walked out.

I totally understand the low stock/inventory “thing”, which is why I also went into the store with almost zero expectations except for human decency, but really should’ve gone in negative expectations haha. I’m very understanding and patient unless I’m being blatantly lied to or treated poorly for no acceptable reason. Continuing the hunt tomorrow.

Still no FSH appointment after 4 tries though, which is surprising based on most TPF experiences. Any suggestions for steps to potentially remedy this?

I sent email to FSH asking if now is as busy as July/August, and also telling them my situation and asked them what are they suggestion. Tomorrow I will bite the bullet and start to apply If they block me... then I cannot do anything about it. Sad face.

Totally agree with just learning and sharing with everyone in this community! We’ve all or will eventually will go through some form of the bad, good, and miraculous Hermès experience.

I was really tempted to get the rejections out of the way too before I arrived, but ultimately decided to wait until my arrival to avoid future problems. Good luck to you as well!

I honestly believe the online appointment system is completely random so there really isn’t much you can do besides registering everyday for one. You could always try walk in and explain to the hostess that you have tried x number of times but still unsuccessful and you might get lucky. Some members reported that worked for them.

Last year I was successful in getting an appointment after 3rd try and DH after 2nd try (though no bags). We are currently in Paris also and both failed 3 times. I will continue trying for an appointment at FSH but unfortunately am not able to queue and wait around at other H stores this time with a very active and fussy toddler..

Have no idea .. I just couldn’t get any appointment for the long time and then gave up for several months. Then one SA told me FSH can block you if you didn’t attend the appointment, which is in a way an understandable thing to do. So now I am careful with that sort of stuff

May I ask about what time you went to get the “canceled” appointment (and was it today)? I tried in the morning around 11 and again at 4pm.

Hi hi,

Finally back to paris again after my “unlucky” 7 days trip to Paris in August. Yet, another “unlucky” trip again for me this time. Purchase history, I have spent around 10k-15k this year, including Picotine and GP spent sporadically at all 3 different stores.

First went to sevres, met my SA that was super nice and ask right away for K and B. She/he went away for a good 15 mins, and “sorry I have checked and there’s nothing”. (I heard from my local SA, that SAs do lie. But I don’t know about this one, don't wanna make such accusation either).
Went to FSH after, got offered GP, 2424 lindy, pico and HB. The SA who served me looks tired, like he just wants to get this done and over with sort of attitude. No explanation whatsoever regarding the bags that he offered but oh well, I guess when you work at Hermes you can do that right. Still no BKC
Went to george V after, was offered exotic skin in I dont know what bag is it called, yet still no BKC.
Tired, disappointed but I still wanna enjoy my trip.
And I should thank my mom who’s already old but still accompany me to go to 3 stores in a day, but no luck given at all.

At least I have heard good stories recently about H stores in my local country. Thinking, whether should I invest on my local country instead or not.
