Stood in line at Sevres yesterday. Very nice SA. Inventory as expected is low. I had a 2424 on my list and they did have one in the chocolate brown so I took it. No B or K. SA was very nice, offered that I could make appointment later in week with her-I’m here for work for 10 days and have only 2 days to myself- or said when I come back to Paris contact her. All in all a good experience. I got in line at 930 and was maybe 8th. Probably 40 people in line by opening. They said they did not know if any shipments coming in that day. I am staying next door and I think dropping by in afternoon is worth a try. It’s not crazy busy inside. I have a colleague trying tomorrow I think.

Did you try fsh or George V yet? I’ve heard some success stories from George V

After 2 online rejections by FSH, queued in George V at 8.30am and was first in line on the last day of my Paris trip.
Did not get a K/B/C, was told to avoid Aug as artisans are all away resulting in low inventory. Perhaps I had no hermes purchase history in France, thus he did not want to offer me a bag at all. Walked away with some twillies and a constance wallet the SA suggested since I mentioned my love for small bags Screen Shot 2019-08-30 at 7.32.58 PM.pngScreen Shot 2019-08-30 at 7.32.50 PM.png

Such a cute idea to tie a Twilly and you have a handle

I’m writing as a success story for Paris visitors in August. I was told “no b/k/c” probably over 20 times in three days in both Nice and Paris. Finally, I got a Kelly Mini II in Gold Epsom PHW from my SA (who’s been my soulmate ever since we met). Good luck to you all hunting in August and don’t lose hope! The H goddess is watching over us!

I love this, congratulations! I recently purchased a Constance wallet to use as a clutch and tied a twilly to make a mini handle also. I walked into some boutiques (non H) this weekend and received so many complements on this. I love the twilly, the mini handle compliments this wallet so much.

Thank you! I agree with you, and I've not seen anyone done this yet, probably we could kickstart this trend ;p

I’m a longtime TPFer who has been lurking in this thread for about six months, to get a sense of Hermes chances in Paris. Read on for a FSH success story that happened today ...

I wanted to gift myself an Evelyne 33, and after doing research in my home country, headed to Europe with my fingers crossed - travelling after summer, I knew any bag would be difficult. In my first stop, Milan, only the newer versions of the Evelyne were in stock, and in Florence, an exasperated SA told me they hadn’t received any new bags for a month - I went back 2 days later and there was a black 29 in stock, but that wasn’t on my list.

The day before I arrived in Paris I entered the FSH lottery, but was rejected. After dropping my bags off at my hotel I headed to the Georges V boutique, but was told all bag consultations required an appointment. So I decided to walk over to FSH, though I have to admit as I was walking I wasn’t sure how much I could take in order to get a bag. I’m writing a book and am 3 months from my deadline! But ... luck was on my side.

I was polite but persistent with the leather hostess, explaining I knew what I wanted - an Evelyne 29 or 33, and had missed out on the lottery. She said I could be fit in if I was willing to wait, which I was, and the wait was less than 15 minutes. Within 40 minutes of entering the store, I was walking out with an Evelyne 33 in one of the colours on my original list.

I think the fact that I was after an Evelyne, was polite with all staff I encountered, and was relaxed but persistent helped overall. I’m absolutely delighted with my purchase and wish all other TPFers the same success.

Congrats on your bag. Which color did you choose?

That's just great- I am so happy you were successful. Please post a picture so we can all admire

Does anyone know why the FSH store is closed today? I went online to try and sign up for an appointment tomorrow but to my dismay it’s closed today so I won’t even be able to try for an appointment tomorrow. Maybe I’ll try the walk in method. I wonder if it’s because they are restocking or if it was an event.

They are closed all day- Michael Coste posted yesterday that there would be an exceptional closure at FSH - I believe there is an in store event this evening celebrating la rentrée.
