So let me introduce my new beauty.. Birkin 30 bordeaux with gold hardware.
As my preference I gave to my SA birkin 25/30 vert cypress, etain, rouge h/ bordeaux. Told her that I was also open to a Constance but birkin was my first choise.
Absolutely love that the color is a bit chameleon like very cypress depending on the light the color might change a bit. It’s maybe not the best color for summer but I know that I will get so much wear of it.

At the end I add a lovely experience at the saint honoré boutique, and it’s seems they have a decent stock.. A woman was offer a Kelly in 25 other peoples with big boxes. Was to the boutique around 11am and it was super quite.

It's beautiful. I feel its a color that you can wear all year round- it will look stunning against black, but also will really be lovely against white in the summer. So happy you had a great experience and found what you were looking for. Congrats!

Thank you for sharing. I've heard similar stories with FSH and it seems that a long history is the key to a good relationship.
not necessary. i have a long and strong purchase history and i am a local client. i still have to run myself through the appointment system. it does not help that my SA broke her neck and therefore was transferred to a different department.

Broke her neck??? You make online appointments even as a local client?

yeah, she injured herself at work. so she cannot carry heavy boxes for a long while. and yes, i had to make online appointments despite being a local and loyal client of a decade (so loyal that we bought furniture lol). it's crazy how i get invited to their jumping shows and other private VIP events BUT had to make an appointment to see a bag, be it is a kelly or a garden party.

and with the two other stores, you gotta line up and make appointments first thing in the morning. i have no record with them as i buy exclusively in FSH (and sometimes if i am too ill, online), so the treatment isn't superb elsewhere.

my husband who is french has had some very rude treatment in the store. it made him very angry and he sent an email to the manager which they apologized but could not do anything about it since they want everyone to have a fair game in getting the bag.

i guess it also depends on your SA. My SA errs on the cautious side and therefore does not take personal appointments anymore. she also doesn't want to deal with new clients even though friends have pestered me to introduce them to her.

i've also been told by some friends that they bribe the VIP relations (which i will not name and this person is not a SA or manager of sorts) to get bags without buying stuff or having to go through the appointment system.

the flaw with the appointment system is that it keeps the loyal, local customers isolated, and jumbled into together with new customers as well as resellers. it used to be not like this and a lot better. my french neighbour is annoyed with this system too. she said it is so off putting to feel like a third rate customer despite spending hundreds of thousands of euros over the years. she has been a customer for twenty years, a lot longer than me.

there are french resellers who pay people 500-1000 euros (depending on bag) to get B an K. so they have an incentive to spend their time on the appointment system. i knew a friend who did this. she got the appointment but did not get anything. as soon as you do not have a buying record and act very suspicious, they won't give you peanuts. so my advice is don't act suspicious and try to dress fancier than usual ( i know it is ridiculous but this works).

sorry for my uber long rant but i live here and i hear a lot of things and are friends who people who are part of the action. it's very disappointing for me actually. and these days it feels a lot harder to get an appointment. and trust me, whether you buy or do not buy, it has nothing to do with your chances of getting the appointment. it's all very random. because if it is based on your buying record, i would be able to get an appointment and not be rejected like four days in a row. lol.

and i just merely want to see the garden party bag. one of the few bags i do not have in my inventory. thank god, i've gotten all the hard to get bags way before this system appears.

Thank you for sharing. It's unfair to do this to local and long-standing customers. But you confirmed some of the things resellers themselves have been quite frank about. They hire locals to get bags and claimed that locals stand a better chance of scoring some true unicorns (think himalayan), just for thousands of euros.

Thank you for the long rant. I have shopped at FSH for more than a decade but not as a local, as I have moved around the world and spent a lot of those 10 years in neighbouring countries. My SAs still give me appointments but I know many of my VVIP friends in your shoes. Although you have confirmed a lot which I suspected, I was surprised that local clients also have to go online. I was told the appointment system is really random. I also agree that it isolates loyal, long time customers. I have brought this up with my senior SA since the queues used to form outside the store at crazy hours. Also suspected the other points which you have mentioned. That's life I guess. Anyway. I hope your SA recovers well, maybe try for a Garden Party online or at another store in France? Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It’s very interesting to hear how local residents feel about this, and it’s definitely very unfair to loyal local customers who are put into the same basket as resellers and walk-in tourists. If I had to fight for an appointment at my local store just to see a GP, I’d be very frustrated.

yes it is unfair indeed. i understand the need for the appointment system. i mean, the queues were really crazy two years ago. you have no idea. people were lining up at 6am in front of the store. this is madness.

i would say that it was true that locals stand a better chance of scoring unicorns but the past two years i have seen some really ****ty treatment towards french clients. my husband being the best example. his workplace is really near fsh and he told me that if he were to go inside with an appointment (but without me), they treat him like a plebian. and he works in a rather formal environment. so it's not like he is going in looking underdressed.
