I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

Was wondering how the travel/tourism in Paris feels today and over the weekend. The press reports in California indicate more of an impact over the weekend and areas that are devoid of tourists. Are the protest routes announced in advance? I'm concerned about basic transportation on the Metro and walking during sightseeing and shopping.

Not much to worry about. I am at cdg waiting to leave. Yesterdays protest was less mild and not as many places were closed compared to weekends before. Metro was running and only those stations with protests going on are shut down. I didnt feel unsafe at all. The only down side was that shops on st honore including hermes was closed on sat. But museums and most othee sightseeing places were opened. Both printemps and lafayette were open, some luxury brands counters however cleared their stock out and was not opened. Hth

Really?! Where? Maybe you have the same name as your mother and they just turn a blind eye?
In many a EU country they were asking a ID with credit card payments until very recently. And typically payments require signature, in Germany, even with debit cards, systems alternate calling for pin and signature when paying. Credit cards need to be signed on reverse and Visa/Mastercard do not allow use of their cards by someone else than the signing person in their terms... Which of course is gatekeeping a field without fences as so much shopping happens online.
Nobody ever looked at my card in the UK, not even remotely at the signature at the back when buying high value items (was never though buying at Hermes). Typically I put the card in the card reader myself and type the pin so they wouldn't see the name on the card at all.
Remember though when I forgot to sign my card, Kadewe SA (in Berlin) asked me for my id.

Hello ladies. From your personal experience or frequent visits to Paris, does any know:

1. What's the stock like at Hermes FSH from Jan till May & September till December?
2. What about the crowds/tourists?
3. I read many successful stories with zero purchase history. Does this depend on the SA if she/he is willing to offer you a bag?

From my personal experience and relatively frequent visits to Paris
1. Jan is bad. Sept starts to be better. Dec is best. Take note of Fahion Weeks including Couture.
2. Paris is always crowded with tourists except FSH which is empty in Jan and Aug.
3. Yes

Hello Ladies, it’s been a month now, and I wonder how long does it take the VTA refunded back to cc? Thank you

I just had my final August purchases refunded to me last week...some were refunded a month later and the last just went through. But revently my Paris purchases from 12/1 was just refunded to me 12/6...that was the fastest ever!

Thanks dear! Honestly I'm looking to travel between Sep - Dec (I prefer fall/winter season in general). I read on this thread an SA told someone that November usually has low stock but I'm not sure if this is the case every year. Any idea when do deliveries arrive to FSH? Monday or another day? Bordeaux/burgundy is a color that I absolutely love. Any idea if they make this color for the Kelly bag?

We tried for a week in September among the 3 stores and were incredibly unsuccessful. I’m going back to Paris this week and will be trying again for neutral B/K in the smaller sizes, although my expectations are a little more tempered than before. People tend to post successes more than failures on this thread. Hopefully the December stock is good and the appointment system is on our side!

For those who scored an appointment at FSH recently, may I ask how many trials before you finally got an appointment? Thank you very much and good luck for everyone!

I went in September. My husband received an appointment on his first try. I received an appointment on my third try. We did not purchase the bags that were offered on either visit (bolides and K32). We were unable to secure any additional appointments for FSH during our week long stay.
