Hello everyone,

I am familiar now with the Hermès appointment system (with the app) and I am pretty confident about what I want, how to behave and what to wear, however, as things change so quickly has anyone had a very recent experience in Paris? One question I might have though is it possible to pay with two cards? Because I am not traveling with my Mum, hence won't have her card limit, I know some might say that one should not buy such a bag, if it's not a thing one can regularly do, but I am just really into designer handbags and it would be for my 25th birthday and graduation. Thank you everyone!

xx

Has anybody received an appointment this week? How are the crowds at the stores after the riots? Will be there tomorrow and wondering if its worth it to book appointment.

Was there today, sa said def less ppl compared to same time last year so think good chance to score bags. Paris feels the same as before, maybe I’ll feel it more on sat if and when there are protests. Sa said fsh will have a meeting tonight to decide if it’ll be open this sat. However this sun and next will be open for Xmas extended hours.

As long both cards bear the same name with the passport

Not sure where you’re from or which card you’re with, but it might be worth calling the card for a temporary limit extension for the specified purchase (assuming you’re going to pay it off within the billing cycle). Blame wanting the gather the points for the purchase!

Thank you, I am just an over thinker and planner, my trip won't happen until January or early February, but thank you!! xx

Yeah told my Mum the same haha but she was like not sure, what if the card get stolen, you see what happens in Paris atm blabla, for some reason I am still treated as the little one, but you're right might convince her doing that and just wanted to have another option. xx

Hi ladies,
I've been following this thread for years and am now ready for my 2nd try (1st try at FSH, in August 2016 was a fail).

I also have a question concerning the payment: I will be going with my hubby who would like to offer me my HG bag for our 5th Anniversary/Christmas gift.
DH will be there next week for business and I will tag along for the hunt. Problem is I always use his CC when doing big purchases, mine is limited. I just read that name on the CC must match name on the passport. The thing is, he won't have time for these "bag stuff" (as he always says), has meetings scheduled throughout our stay there so he told me that he's going to give me the card and let me do my shopping.

Do you thing it's possible to go with his passport and his CC ? last time I went there to buy jewelry they refused MY passport + HIS CC so I used mine. But what if I go with his passport and his CC even though he is not present?

Plus I was planning to register for an appointment with both our passports for better chance . If I have an appointment under my passport can I use his for the payment?

Several people on this thread have mentioned this is not possible but who knows? Can you ask your husband if he can request another credit card with your name but same account?

I don't know how it is elsewhere, but in Europe you cannot use someone else's credit card...
If you are authorised to use his credit card account, the bank should be able to issue a credit card with your name on it, which would solve your problem.
If you get the appointment with his passport, he would need to be there for the handbag stuff :P

No, he will need to be present to even present for the appt. They will ask for the passport associated with the appt prior to showing bags. He should add you as a user and get a card in your name in this case, or you should ask for an increase on your card or over pay your balance so that you have the money available. I.e. Your limit is 5k you should make a 15k payment to have the money available. Hope this makes sense.

Not true, I am in Europe and I am able to use my mother's credit card at LV for example.
